This company is so incredibly annoying. USAA determined that my car was totaled and notified Copart. Copart immediately started notifying me daily about picking up my car. I explained to them that we are going to keep it and have it repaired, but they continue to contact me multiple times a day. They are asking me if the car is at my residence or at the shop. Are you kidding me? I told them it is none of their business where the car is. These people are vultures. read more

my car was taken to their yard even though I had no choice. When I went to retrieve my items from the totaled vehicle, they were all thrown in the bed of the pick up truck. It had been raining for several days, so it was full of water. All of my possessions were soaked, they stole the change out of my dashboard and literally trashed everything that was inside the vehicle. There was no reason for this whatsoever. They also cut my wires to my dash cam so now I have to replace the entire Dashcam system if I ever have a choice I will never use them again. read more

Do not trust Copart. I tried to sell a car via Copart in Baltimore. The car wasn't sold and when I went to retain the car I found the front bumper cover and driver headlight damaged. I contacted the general manager Mr. Kyle Roschli and all he offered me was to refund the $85 fee, despite that I was quoted $600 for the replacement and painting. Terrible customer service. Do not return phone calls and don't return promised return phone calls or emails. There is a systemic lack of professionalism along many ranks and levels. Seems their attitude is that they will only deal with you if you are incredibly persistent. Avoid doing business here if you can avoid them. read more

There's 1 truck in the yard(aside from mine) they made me wait over 45 minutes to get 1 car loaded. They had 1 of their loaders doing transports and moving cars around the yard and the other loader operators ignored me and told me he had more important things to do. Like clean his loader. Poor operation plan and poor customer service by the loading staff. Manager wasn't onsite and person on phone said "they will be with you as quick as they can. No respect for drivers and the time constraints we face. read more

Made an appointment for my car to be picked up - they never came. The person who made my appointment made a whole mess of things. On hold for 20+ minutes only to be disconnected by a guy with an attitude. No one was helping me until I had to yell at them. Don't even bother getting rid of your car through them. They rip you off for - they were going to buy my car for $700. Just take your cars to carmax, I got an appraisal for $3800 there. Total rip off and just a terrible company. read more

I went to this place for the first time not knowing what to do or anything about it, and Amber helped me out the entire way through. She was very patient and I can't wait to comeback. While getting through the other customers she managed to fully break down how things work at Copart and how I can preview certain vehicles. Her customer service skills went above and beyond what I expected. 10/10 read more

I was arrested at the accident site..because I just had a knee replacement two months ago and couldn't do hell toe sobriety check...I was not impaired..but was charged..officer Pappas of the cockeysville police department made me remove all my jewelry and leave it in my vehicle which was then towed to Gerber's linhard's towing yard..a secured lot. My Maryland auto insurance then had it towed to Copart. I was released to late that day to get my belongings from the vehicle. So I got a ride the next day..they were a half hour from closing..and really we're not happy about letting me get my stuff so close to closing. So they put my truck on what looked like a big forklift and brought it to the gate. Copart then told me they had removed all my property from inside the vehicle and placed it in the bed of my truck..which did have a truck bed cover...however my property was just thrown around in the bed of the truck. I found my necklaces..but the watch and bracelet my mother had bought me before she passed was gone..note that both we're expensive and men's style. I asked the boy who had forklifted my truck about it. And told him I wanted to go to where they had removed my property..as maybe it had been dropped...I seriously doubted that was the case..but he quickly told me no that he would check with the office to see if it had been turned in...and I was asked to leave so they could close the gates. So first thing Monday I called..they said a manager would get back to me. Today is Tuesday..so I called the main number and reported that office.. again said manager would get back to me. So here's the thing..someone there stole my bracelet and watch that my mother, who is now gone, gave me..even if they gave me it's value..which I doubt they will even do..it can not replace it...my dead mother gave me..this place is horrible..and I will post bad reviews every where I can about this place..they had no business removing property from my vehicle to begin with. I wish there was a zero because that is what they would get. I moved my car to the front of the driveway to make it easier on the tow truck driver. I had to run out for lunch so I called to see when they thought they would show up. The dispatcher told me, without me asking for it, that I would get a call an hour before so I moved the car and ran out for lunch. 45 minutes later I returned and the car was gone and a big rut was in the grass. They obviously did not call an hour before. I told them over the phone what happened and they tried to blame it on me since the car was inaccessible to which I said they didn't call me. They said nobody told them I was going to get a call. Sorry but not my fault you do not talk to each other within your own company. I called and they kept telling me someone would call back. I have a vehicle I agreed to donate to the ASPCA. The pick up was scheduled for 8am to 12 noon, so I took a vacation day to stay here and wait....and wait....and wait. I called at noon and was left on hold for so long, I hung up and called the ASPCA donation center. The donation center called me back and told me they spoke with Copart and the driver was on his way and would call when he was 30 minutes out. I called Copart again at 2:30 and was told the driver was on his way. I called at 3:40 and the woman who answered knew me by name and sighed when she said it. She told me she had received an e-mail "from her boss" about my vehicle. She put me on hold and a few minutes later, Mr. Dispatcher came on the phone with an attitude. He claimed he'd just found out about all this 15 minutes ago. (So, everybody at Copart knows about me EXCEPT Mr. Dispatcher. Hmmmm.) Anyway, I told Mr. Dispatcher that I was not waiting any longer, that I'd lost a vacation day and I was withdrawing my donation. With the most cavalier attitude he could muster, Mr. Dispatcher said, "Okay. You have a nice day." So, I felt bad doing it, but I called the ASPCA and withdrew my donation. Evidently, Disabled Vets does not use Copart in my area, they use Premiere Auctions, so I will probably donate to the Veterans. Sorry, ASPCA. read more
