Update - Resolution Reached, With Ongoing Concerns After posting my original review, the dealership's owner reached out and connected me with the COO, Chris. Chris listened to my concerns and worked toward a resolution that I can live with. We reached an agreement for a new 2025 Ford Bronco, with payments essentially the same for the next 3 years. The new vehicle includes more features than my previous Bronco, and I was able to add an option I knew I would miss. I appreciate Chris's effort and the outcome. That said, a few issues with the dealership experience continued while the resolution was in progress. The new vehicle arrived with a small hole in the back seat, which required two separate trips to fix. During the first appointment, I showed up, but no one seemed aware I was scheduled, and the upholsterer did not show. I was told my fuel tank would be refilled for the inconvenience, which never happened. While waiting, I was given a set of permanent tags to take home-- which turned out not to be mine, and the registration had someone else's name and information on it. I also had to follow up myself to confirm that my previous loan had been paid off, as the check had not been mailed. I'm grateful that leadership stepped in and helped reach a fair solution, but the repeated mistakes -- even during the resolution process -- reinforce my concerns about the dealership's operations and attention to detail. I purchased a new Ford Mustang 2024 GT from them in November last year. The sales process was great. They made some mistakes with the contract in terms of sales tax and registration fees. It took a lot of back and forth to get it all sorted out, but it was sorted out completely. I guess I'm writing this review because I would rather do business with a company that makes mistakes but then makes it right versus a company who doesn't care to make things right. They USED me as a potential customer to order a 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid Limited truck so they would have one on their lot to sell. The sales person (with his manager) agreed to a price so I went ahead and let them order me a truck. 2 months later the truck comes in and was not ordered to my specification and they were trying to sell it to me at 40+% over the agreed price. I had a very good experience. The receptionist took my key immediately even though I got there earlier than my appointment at 12:30 my appointment was actually 1 pm. What to do when Preston does not fulfill their contractual obligation to title and register your vehicle If you have found this review - you likely are also in the process or trying to get Preston Ford to legally title and register your vehicle Im writing this review in the form of what I wish I knew when I started this process in hopes that is saves you some time - and that you report this to the MVA and Attorney General so that the pattern can be investigated And yes. To the inevitable reply. Preston Ford did finally title and register the vehicle after 4 months of back and forth. Here's what to know: 1. This is not a paperwork mix up: By MD law the dealership has 30 days to title and register your vehicle. If you are past this point and Preston ford has not completed the paperwork - something was wrong the the paperwork on the car they sold you. This is not an honest mistake. Someone wasn't out on vacation or just dropped the ball. They are gaslighting you. Take escalation steps immediately. 2. You have the right to return the car: I wish I had just started the process of returning the car when the first temp tag expired as it took another 2 months to get the car legally titled and registered. Do not fall victim to the sunk cost fallacy. Starting the car shopping process over is awful - but might be quicker and less awful than getting Preston to do the paperwork. By MD law you can reverse the transaction if they haven't filed the paperwork in 30 days and you should seriously consider this option 3. File a complaint with the MD MVA Investigations branch and the Attorney General. You can file a consumer complaint online with the Attorney General. To file a dealer complaint with the MVA you will need to call the MVA customer service - ask to open a ticket to file a dealer complaint. This may need to be done by a supervisor. The investigations branch will then email you a form to complete. These are the governing bodies of car dealerships in MD and the only people who can hold them accountable. The MVA takes a while to process your case so open the ticket as soon as you can. 4. Be persistent and escalate immediately. Take notes. Remember that your calls are recorded by them. They list the phone numbers of management on their website - I recommend calling and texting the dealership manager immediately, and when that doesn't work escalate to that persons boss. If you look at other reviews they post the phone number of the person who does their tag and titling in the comments. Messages left with the receptionist will not be returned. You'll need to be aggressive - they are outside of their contractual obligation so do not let them imply that you are being rude or impatient by demanding their attention. 5. Do not drive on any dealership tags they give you - this is not an authorized use of dealership tags no matter what they tell you. read more

I purchased a new bronco taking delivery December 2022. As of almost May 2023 I still don't have registration or a license plate. I've spoken to the company about 25 times in the last couple of months and they always seem friendly but don't have a clue what to do to get me simple registration. I've even offered to do this myself multiple times now if they just give me back my sales tax and registration money but they can't figure that out either. They gave me a temporary tag that expired 6 weeks ago so far so I have a very expensive and depreciated truck that is illegal to drive. I will update if o ever get a license plate to drive this. read more

They keep you informed of the status of the service or repairs and I feel like they take care of my vehicle while in their possession. I took my truck there to have a recall taken care of and made a huge mistake! They scratched my truck and never even apologized. Had to get an estimate and they were to cut me a check. A week later I get a check made out to the body shop and not me! I am the owner and yet they refused to make it right. She also refused to let me speak to the GM saying that's just the policy. Will never go back and would give them zero stars if I could. Never again and will warn everyone I know. Should have driven farther to get to Koons Ford. That's a 5 star experience every time! Follow up review... Jerry Sink, the new GM of Rtown, spoke with my husband and acknowledged none of this should ever have happened. He sincerely apologized for the experience and assured him he is committed to making necessary changes so this doesn't happen again. He gave us 2 free oil changes in hopes of earning our business back. Based on his response we are changing our review from 1 to 3 stars. If you see a car advertised in Auto Trader at RTown Ford, don't count on it being available at all or at the advertised price. You may be jacked around. I saw a 2019 used Explorer advertised in Auto Trader for $29,995 and through calls and email exchanges over a 3 week period, I was continually told by the General Manager and the Internet Sales Manager that the car was not available yet, but was a trade in and would be "available to see in a couple of days". Then at the end, the Internet Sales Manager informed me that the car was now available to see, but the price was $34,995. I bought a new car from another dealer shortly afterwards. read more
