The guy working was very friendly and offered some samples. I got my staple, pistachio and since my son loves cookies & cream he gave the cookies and milk flavor a try. Both flavors were excellent and the texture was even better. The shop is kinda small, I can imagine in the summer during peak hours this place can get very busy and seating sparse. We came to Coppa after a dinner. This was our first visit to Coppa and came on the recommendation of friends who met us here. There are many gelatos to choose from. I now understand why Coppa Gelato is the Best Dessert in Westerville 2023 and Ohios Best Ice Cream Shop in 2023. My friends and I happen upon this gelato shop after going to dinner next door. The shop is setup as a cute ice cream parlor and there is a sign that says gelato vs ice cream and explains the differences. I didn't know that gelato is lower in calories, fat and carbohydrates. This shop has cups of ice cream, cones, pints, and shakes. I was able to try four different gelatos, including Stracciatella (my favorite), Cookies and Milk, Cookie Butter Crunch and Bourbon Pecan. All amazing flavors and I cannot wait to come back and try more. Definitely come out to this gem of a shop and try the amazing gelato. First time coming here, thankfully the line was not too long, only at the door but not out the door. I ordered one scoop of gelato on a cake cone, and a medium cup choosing three flavors. The gelato was delicious and very creamy. The cake cone was a different story-- The cone was stale! I noticed everyone was ordering their gelato in a cup, so that may explain why the cone was stale because rarely does anyone order the gelato in a cone. I would like to make a suggestion that they do better in storing their cones to make sure that customers receive a fresh, crunchy cone. I read another review where a customer stated that the waffle cone was stale. After this, I doubt if I ever will order another cone, whether cake or waffle. Also if I'm not mistaken, the menu board stated that a one dip cake cone was a little over $5, and the medium cup was a little over $6, but my bill came to $13. Now unless there was tax added for carryout, I think that I was overcharged...I do not have a receipt. I did not realize this until I got home. Now I am feeling a little short changed being overcharged for my two items, plus receiving a stale cone. This will not stop me from returning, but I will pay more attention to what I am being charged, and only order gelato in a cup. Customer service was excellent. Our family has been here a couple of times. Servers have always been friendly and you can get samples which is great to make sure the kids like the flavor they want. Parking is easy. So glad I finally tried this place! It's not on a main road, so I never would've known about it if it wasn't for all of the local write ups. I got a medium cookies & milk and pistachio. They must have been in my Yelp bookmarks for years before I finally made my way there (I am NEVER in the Westerville area!). But I tried it back in March and was hooked! There are so many options and they are all heavenly. My favorites are the Panna Cotta and the Stracciatella. It's good to taste test a few options before deciding what you want. Came here on a very hot day and it was delicious. I enjoyed what I got, I just wish it was a bit bigger or less expensive. I wanted to do a flight, but it was a bit much. I enjoyed their outdoor seating area and really liked the chill and cool atmosphere of the shop. I recommend this place for dessert, a causal date, a family outing, or just a sweet treat! We've been here several times and have always enjoyed their deserts, tea, coffee & hot chocolate. One of the best desert places in the neighborhood. Friday nights are obviously a bit busier. If you want a sweet treat that's gluten free this will be your new favorite place! Gelato originates from Italy and typical contains less butterfat than traditional ice cream. I have personally always preferred gelato over ice cream but in the Midwest gelato is not the easiest sweet treat to find. Yet, this shop does it right! The service is so nice and you are able to taste flavors before committing to any. The shop offers small medium and large cups as well as cones and pup cups! There's also a few more exotic ones. I am stunned at all the sections they have. It has the regular gelatos, which are made with eggs and are the most popular. They also have dairy free sorbettos, if you need something vegan. It's about $3 for a cup. The quality is something like Jeni's. It's more affordable. The staff is pretty friendly.
