I saw the one horrible review, and was a little nervous about coming. But, I had some time to kill and a little room in my belly. They are right by Fox In The Snow. There's a windowed entrance in front, and if you turn down the little opening between the buildings there is a plain door in the back, marked, with a little seating area outside. Also, some parking back there- handy in this neighborhood. Inside, it is small but welcoming. Loads of good looking pastries, gelato, cheesecake. Panini, which I think I would rather get and eat there. They have a couple of tables. It's pretty small, but there's enough room. I got a couple of pastries, baklava which Kid K will enjoy later and a pistachio muffin which I had some of immediately. Huge, flavorful, moist, topped with nuts. I really liked it. And I think I would've liked a lot of the other pastries. It was morning, so gelato and panini weren't up my alley. But I did try a sample of their eggnog gelato and it was very good. They also have I think peppermint and gingerbread and a couple other seasonals, plus half a dozen regular, standard flavors. Surely their main competitor is Fox In The Snow. And I love FITS, but it can get absolutely crazy. So for a more relaxed experience, still with good food, I would come here. Service was great. Prices are reasonable for the quality.

Lots of patio tables outside, decent sitting area inside. They've decorated in a bright, fun way; I think this used to be a car dealership, but now it looks like a cafe on the beach. They have a couple of dozen flavors, and of course I had to try the root beer. I got a "root beer float," two layers of root beer ice with I think vanilla gelato in between. Good flavor, very cold, a nice treat. The "middie" size was about $4; that is probably a bit higher than the plain flavors due to the combination. Lots of interesting flavors, and I will be back on some hot summer days. I bet it will be a local favorite, and it's worth a little detour to try it out. Atmosphere is great w/ cozy sitting & different kinds of tables. The place isn't huge, so it might not accommodate a big group if they're busy. Bathrooms are nice & spacious and well kept. Service is good. You can order either at the counter or at one of the two electronic kiosks. One big complaint for me is that neither their menu or the kiosk have any details on what is inside foot desserts & some drinks. Even in online ordering it's a guessing game. Overall, this place is a gem & has authentic offerings you might not find at other parts of Columbus.
