Stopped by Whit's Frozen Custard in Uptown Westerville this afternoon after riding up State Street and spotting the sign for the flavor of the week: Twisted Coffee. The sign did exactly what it was supposed to do, it made us stop immediately. The frozen custard was smooth, rich, and very creamy, exactly what you want from a great dessert spot in Westerville. The coffee flavor was tasty and well balanced, with fudge, peanut butter, cookies, and crumble mixed in, making it a fun and unique treat. I would have liked just a little more coffee flavor to come through, but it was still absolutely worth the stop. This location can be found in the middle of a small town Main Street (which according to their website is what they're about). There is parallel parking just outside the doors and along the side of the road. The custard is not overly expensive. We tried a mix of chocolate and vanilla and enjoyed both. Usually enjoy eating some fresh frozen custard from Whit's. Not this visit. Was in town all week visiting family. Waited all week for the flavor of the day that I wanted which was fluffer nutter (peanut butter and marshmallow fluff). Ordered three cups of fluffer nutter and took it home to eat after dinner. Boy were we disappointed when two of the dishes were plain vanilla and the third cup just had a little peanut butter stirred in. Their vanilla custard is very good, but that's not the flavor I had my heart set on and waited all week to purchase. Here's hoping my next visit to town I can visit Whit's and get a decent flavor. I don't know why I never ventured into Whits before because it is amazing! This location is super clean and quick with great staff to help you choose which amazing flavor to get. Love that There is a big sidewalk area outside to enjoy your treat and it's close to parking at the corner. read more

There are a selection of about a dozen frozen yogurts and 20-30 toppings ranging from fruits, candies; bobas and syrups. You pay for what you want in your cup. Toppings are pretty standard for these types of fast buffet yogurt places but the yogurt flavor was very good! Flavor of the month was watermelon but had an excellent taste to it, not overly "artificial watermelon" My daughter and I each grabbed a cup and made it out under $10, that's a win! :) read more

Came on a Monday evening with my husband - the woman checking us out gave him a sample to try and then we placed our order. He got a Buckeye special and I went for the flavor of the week (strawberry) cup. His was very full and very sweet. Mine was also sweet. We get the flavor of the week and have never been disappointed. You can look up the flavor online, and usually a particularly yummy sounding flavor is what entices us to go again! There are lots of toppings and mix-ins you can get, but we usually just get the flavor of the week, topped with whipped cream and a cherry for free (sprinkles are also free)! Mine was so good, mixed well and just delicious. My husband sat down away from all of us and just ate his without a word, he was so excited about it and liked it so much he ignored his family. Lol. This place is very interesting. My daughters and I ordered a cone with ice cream and toppings. When I ordered the girl said she could put my toppings in a bowl but could not put them on my ice cream cone. I repeatedly asked why and she could not tell me why. After having such a bad experience at the whits in Sunbury I would like to recognized not all the whits are equal. Westerville is clean, organized, professional and accommodating with nut allergies. They take nut allergies serious and recognize it as a life threatening condition. Not only do they change gloves and wash the scoop they get the Oreo toppings from the back so there is NO risk if cross contamination. Stopped by the Westerville location on my way out of Columbus back to Cleveland Sunday October 28th. It has become somewhat of a tradition to drop in to whits for custard on our way out of town. I tried the German chocolate which was awesome with chunks or cake and coconut. It's pretty simple but we have been here a couple times and have no complaints. I do wish they had lots of choices in flavors like some of their competitors down the road, but I understand it's their thing and I always like to drop in and see what the special is. Well, the flavor of the week is penguin tracks, my fav! So I put a reminder on the calendar so I didn't miss out. My husband and I went today at 2:15 for an afternoon treat. We both ordered a single cup of penguin tracks to go. The place was empty, clean, friendly. That was the best part. I am not sure what they gave us but what we had was a nice dip of vanilla with a small vein of caramel in one spot. Normal penguin tracks is filled with goodies, caramel, fudge, brownie bits in every bite. Today all we got was basically vanilla, albeit the vanilla was good but it was a sorry attempt at penguin tracks. Such a disappointment. If this was our first visit it would probably be our last. Going forward, looks like Graters and Dairy Queen will win out. read more

So delicious! Love their flavors of the month. Only complaint is the staff can be very slow, rude and distracted. I was in last week and the only girl working the register was just talking to a customer (because she knew him) when he had already been helped and was on his way out the door while five people stood in line and waited. This lasted probably 3-5 minutes before someone just started ordering in hopes she would pay attention to them. The workers seem very young, I think they would benefit from a manager or someone who isn't going to get distracted when her friends come in, watching over them. read more

I really want to like this place, but after four less than satisfactory visits to this location, it's hard. The frozen custard is good but the service is awful. They forget orders and have no customer service knowledge of how to resolve the situation. I've never seen any management there, only a few teenagers behind the counter, I'm glad they're giving teens jobs but they need some direction and help. read more
