Second time I've been there, I literally just left and I had a bad experience, so paid $14 for a torta and they gave me a Philly steak bread with barley any meat in it, I'm disappointed, and the was a hair in it... like seriously? are you guys really that sad with your life to temper with someones food because you feel intimidated or whatever reason? i don't recommend the food there, everything else I guess it's good because it's different but it also depends who is working we had small ice cream balls and the first time we were there the girl gave us $4.75 worth of an ice cream ball but the Friday team, i did have a good experience with them and I left them a tip too never again. The place is to bright so if you're sensitive to light wear sunglasses.

Line out the door but the staff is EFFICIENT and they got em served and up and outta there QUICK!

Hella unique ice cream options and flavors. I saw Tequilla, Bubble Gum, Jamaican, Coconut, Strawberry Cheesecake etc. You can make milkshakes out of any flavors of ice cream they've got. Customers come in in waves yet the small staff is a well oiled machine getting folks in, served, and out. They've also got several food options inside as well like Walking Tacos utilizing DORITOS as the base. I got the kinda sorbet/sherbert fruity Mangolada and it was unique and tasty with different flavor profiles that ranged from sweet, to salty, to savory. There were huge tasty chunks of mango's inside and a delectable red syrup throughout with pieces of red candy chunks inside. Even the straw itself was covered in like a sweet/salty-ish TAJIN type coating. They had all types of stuff inside from popsicles, to ice cream sandwiches, chocolate covered waffle bowls etc. The misses got a Strawberry Cheesecake shake, and the kiddo got a strawberry ice cream with a strawberry popsicle in a chocolate waffle bowl sprinkled contraption and it was ALL GREAT! We'll definitely be back!

I have been seeing pictures of their mangonada everywhere and finally have been able to try it! This location is on West Broad and does have its own parking lot. My friend and I came here on a Saturday night and it was not too busy. It's very spacious and looks almost like an ice cream store with the way it's set up, but just with lots of splashes of color along with a variety of food choices from ice cream to hot Cheetos! They have pictures of their food options on the way along with the prices which I honestly appreciate because I eat with my eyes! Plus if you are not familiar with the foods then you can at least see what you are ordering. My friend and I ordered a mangonada and an elote with the dynamite Takis coating (Mexican street corn). The mangonada was $6.99 and I think the elote was about $5 since my total was around $12. We got to watch them make both dishes. The employee first made the mangonada which had mango ice cream and a chili syrup sauce which I believe is chamoy and tajin seasoning (a lime salt). The straw was covered in the lime salt! Soooo delicious and it's a HUGE portion. The elote was covered in mayo, cheese, and the takis coating. You can choose between a variety of takis coatings. I finished the entire thing. I wish the coating was a little more crunchy to add texture to the corn, but no worries! I will be coming back :)

Enjoyed the ice cream, but still have a strange after taste in my mouth. Not sure if that is common with Mexican version of ice cream or just the flavor I tried. No prices posted, but the price I paid for a large scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone - $3.74. Not busy at all so service was fast. Let me taste before I ordered. No calorie count any where, which EBS would have celebrated. Celebrating the holiday means I will enjoy it with out worrying about calories. Not sure if I will try again because of the after taste, but glad I did. Might come back for something with fresh fruit.

Dulce Vida is another Mexican ice cream place in Columbus. It has a good location to take advantage of. There's lots of Hispanics and Latinos in the Westland area. It has a large amount of ice cream and popsicles. They also have lots of vegan flavors too. If you haven't been to somewhere like here, you need to know a couple things before you go. In Mexico, popsicles are known as paletas. These are a lot like common popsicles but these are made with real fruit and not just artificial shit. It has some made with milk, while others are made with only fruit juice. The ones with only fruit juice are vegan friendly, so there's something for most. It also has ice cream and sorbet, or the Mexican versions that is. The flavors run from common to fucking crazy, they put that in ice cream and popsicles? A lot have fruit that is more common in Mexico like mango, and some are made with chili peppers which give a great hot and sweet flavor. The shops are only about $2 which is good for its quality. If you haven't had Mexican ice cream come to Dulce Vida. It has more flavors than you can shake a maraca at. The service is great too.

Imagine Jeni's and Diamond's Ice Cream were married and had a child named Dulce Vida for "sweet life." The child decided mom and dad's shop needed more than just "ice cream." The child does what every child does and imagines more things to add onto the menu to attract people. These things include the walking taco and many other warm treats. Little does mommy and daddy know, this child's ideas would attract so many customers because they like getting their walking tacos. Although the paletas are also a huge hit here because there are many different options to choose from. Then one day, I show up and see this beautiful bright ice cream shop on the side of West Broad Street. I begin going through the menu to see what I like and then trying all the flavors to sample them. All the flavors I tried were very good. They are also freshly made in the shop. My husband goes for the tres marias which is 3 scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone cup with 3 chocolate sticks. He said it's time to enjoy and splurge a little today. Little does he know, that I then order something different the helado with 2 scoops of pistachio and caramel ice cream. Oh boy, trouble. Nope, he did fine eating that 3 scoop and I of course enjoyed my helado very much. If your looking for something similar to Diamond's Ice Cream or happen to be on this side of town, give Dulce Vida a try. You never know, you might like them.

So much variety!! There are a ton of flavors to choose from. More traditional to savory types, authentic and sorbet. They also serve actual food, which looked good. You get a lot of ice cream for your money.

I was eager to try the Corn, was kind of disappointed in how it tasted. It was a little salty. The employees were not very helpful either. However the paletas are delicious! The variety of flavors are great as well. The fruit and yogurt paleta is awesome!! Will definitely come back for the paletas!

Such a neat, unique, delicious, and clean place! This shop offers Mexican style treats, fruit popsicles, and ice creams-in TONS of testable flavors. They also have around 20 great dairy-free options too! The decor was cute and the atmosphere was fun and energetic! I would never have visited this location if it weren't for a friend raving about it, but I will definitely be back! This is my new favorite ice cream shop because the flavors are so unique (cheese flavor is one of them) and it is so fresh tasting! Yep... I would rather visit this place than to visit a Jenni's or a Greater's. Note- they also seem to serve some hot snack foods and they have seating available inside or outside.

Rich dense ice creams and sorbets Creative "street" snack foods and some sandwiches on weekends only. Five dollars for giant scoops. Taste as many as you might like.

This is a unique Mexican ice cream place on the West side of town. They offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors and homemade Popsicles. The Popsicles are a lot of fun as I don't know of many other places that offer them. Dulce Vida also offers some food options. They have a nice variety of sweet and salty snacks. I got the strawberries and cream popsicle. At first it was bland, cream and frozen strawberries but after a few bites the flavor grows on you. The ice cream is alright. The prices are high for what you get. A single scoop of ice cream is over $3. The popsicle I got was $2.99. They offer sundaes for over $6. The price is not worth the quality of ice cream. The staff is friendly. There is plenty of seating to enjoy your snacks. It's well lit and brightly decorated. I would recommend Dulce Vida for the novelty of Popsicles but be wary of higher prices.

I had the elote en vas and mangonado. Tge elite was flavorful and spicy but not overpowering. I don't eat spicy food usually but I didnt mind the runny nose. The mango ice cream tasted so fresh. Now I admit paying $12 for these items threw me off for a second but keeping in my this is s brick and mortar and not a cart. They have alot of options to choose from. I will visit again.

I'm so glad we found this place. Being born and raised in Arizona, at times it's hard to find a little piece of home out here in Ohio. We had paletas, churros, various ice cream flavors, elote vaso, and mangonado. We loved it all and can't wait to go back. I found the prices to be fair and the service was fast and friendly. My only wish would be to have a list of paleta flavors because we had no idea what was what.

LOL. You pull up to an older house that's been converted into the restaurant, and it could use some maintenance :) but these are the kinds of places I love to find. Small dining area, maybe 6 tables seating 2-4 people each. It was warm today (Saturday around 1pm) and it was pretty busy both for dine-in/to-go and drive through. Unlike alot of other reviews everyone was incredibly friendly and service was reasonably quick. My onion rings and my son's tenders were HOT so they were fresh. Onion rings were pretty well done, but I like them that way. Others may disagree. I had a coney w/ mustard, chili, onion and it looked pretty unassuming. However, it was a little flavor bomb. I found the chili to be flavorful, and they use the tiny diced onions that were perfect for a coney. I went back for a second one with cheese. They were a little stingy with the coney toppings, but at least is was easy to eat. Maybe a little more cheese would be nice. Like someone said, the chili needs to be hotter, it was luke warm. PB and banana shake was awesome, with real chunks of banana in it. It was a hit with my picky 10yr olds and the price was definitly right for a tasty filling lunch. I'm a native Hoosier, so I'll have to put their tenderloin to the test next time and report back.

I'm not a big ice cream person, but I do love sweets, especially a sweets shop with history. I ordered a banana split. Though, it was difficult to decide what to order! This place has a peaceful vibe, but the signage is a little chaotic -- it's like walking up to a Dr. Bronner's bottle. I had to stand there for a bit and read everything while the poor girl behind the counter waited for me to get my bearings. (Luckily I was the only one in the shop at the time.) There are different colored signs everywhere, listing daily specials, new items, and things you can buy that aren't ice cream, like bags of ice and local honey. The banana split was delicious: A perfectly ripe banana split between two scoops of ice cream -- I chose vanilla and chocolate. It's topped with whipped cream, crushed nuts, and a cherry on top. It's one of those desserts where you lose track of time when you eat it, or at least I did. All of my concentration went toward eating that magnificent ice cream concoction as quickly as possible. I decided to shovel it into my face on the big porch, which overlooks the Buckeye Lake canal. There is also seating indoors, too. Weldon's is a must-visit if you're in the Buckeye Lake area!

For sure it has a great big menu. There's a selection of cold or hot treats like cones, burgers, and other things. The slushie was ice cold without being too frozen and it hit the spot. Its menu features an extensive amount of ice cream, shakes, and hot food. The Z Swirl is a Blizzard knockoff. It's okay to call this that because it looks like it. They even say so on the menu.
