I've been wanting to stop by here for so long, and finally made it a point to do so. Disappointed it didn't work out better. The inside is very colorful and fun. There are TONS of ice cream flavors to pick from. I tried the strawberry and mint and both were good but I was feeling a milkshake instead so went with that. They used the chocolate ice cream in the display case to make it. It somehow came out very freezer burned and awful tasting, I hadn't sampled the chocolate beforehand. Bummed the milkshake was $8 and probably the worst I ever had. Further, the scanner at the register was confusing and the lady showed me how to operate it and she clicked yes for me to add a tip without me selecting it to do so, which I thought was pretty presumptuous and rude considering this isn't sit down service. If I went back again I would probably still do the ice cream but stay away from literally anything else they have to make by hand. read more

The general manager, Rudley, approached me with an attitude from the start, demanding that I place my order immediately and not allowing me time to ask questions about the menu. She repeatedly rushed me, made rude remarks, and created an uncomfortable atmosphere. I politely asked her to calm down, but her behavior didn't improve. After taking my order and cashing me out, she actually told me not to come back because my asking follow-up questions made her uncomfortable. I've never experienced anything like that as a paying customer. I even pointed out that I have no problem spending my money elsewhere, especially when I'm treated with such disrespect. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated issue. The customer service at this location has gone downhill. Employees rarely greet customers, and there seems to be a lack of professionalism and proper management. There are plenty of places that appreciate their customers. The two servers behind the counter were not friendly, looked like they wished we hadn't come, spoke little, helped little. We spent over $150.00. They've also got several food options inside as well like Walking Tacos utilizing DORITOS as the base. I got the kinda sorbet/sherbert fruity Mangolada and it was unique and tasty with different flavor profiles that ranged from sweet, to salty, to savory. There were huge tasty chunks of mango's inside and a delectable red syrup throughout with pieces of red candy chunks inside. Even the straw itself was covered in like a sweet/salty-ish TAJIN type coating. I have been seeing pictures of their mangonada everywhere and finally have been able to try it! This location is on West Broad and does have its own parking lot. My friend and I came here on a Saturday night and it was not too busy. It's very spacious and looks almost like an ice cream store with the way it's set up, but just with lots of splashes of color along with a variety of food choices from ice cream to hot Cheetos! They have pictures of their food options on the way along with the prices which I honestly appreciate because I eat with my eyes! Plus if you are not familiar with the foods then you can at least see what you are ordering. My friend and I ordered a mangonada and an elote with the dynamite Takis coating (Mexican street corn). The mangonada was $6.99 and I think the elote was about $5 since my total was around $12. We got to watch them make both dishes. The employee first made the mangonada which had mango ice cream and a chili syrup sauce which I believe is chamoy and tajin seasoning (a lime salt). The straw was covered in the lime salt! Soooo delicious and it's a HUGE portion. The elote was covered in mayo, cheese, and the takis coating. You can choose between a variety of takis coatings. I finished the entire thing. Enjoyed the ice cream, but still have a strange after taste in my mouth. Not sure if that is common with Mexican version of ice cream or just the flavor I tried. No prices posted, but the price I paid for a large scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone - $3.74. Not busy at all so service was fast. Let me taste before I ordered. No calorie count any where, which EBS would have celebrated. Celebrating the holiday means I will enjoy it with out worrying about calories. Upon entering this hidden gem, I felt a rush of excitement like a kid in an ice cream shop! The walls are painted vibrant, bright colors giving off a cool atmospheric vibe! Each time I have visited it is always super clean, even the bathrooms! The selections are plentiful; something for everyone! The food and ice cream that I have tried are all delicious, however, my funnel cake was a little too well done, yet kind of tasted like it was pre made, waiting for someone to order, and then heated up, yet still edible! It has a large amount of ice cream and popsicles. They also have lots of vegan flavors too. If you haven't been to somewhere like here, you need to know a couple things before you go. In Mexico, popsicles are known as paletas. These are a lot like common popsicles but these are made with real fruit and not just artificial shit. It has some made with milk, while others are made with only fruit juice. The ones with only fruit juice are vegan friendly, so there's something for most. It also has ice cream and sorbet, or the Mexican versions that is. The flavors run from common to fucking crazy, they put that in ice cream and popsicles? A lot have fruit that is more common in Mexico like mango, and some are made with chili peppers which give a great hot and sweet flavor. The shops are only about $2 which is good for its quality. They have a huge selection of food, hand dipped ice cream, paletas, and lots of other goodies. I had a scoop each of Gansito and blackberry cheese. The scoops are massive! The Gansito ice cream tasted just like the snack cake. The blackberry cheese definitely tops the list of creamiest ice cream I've ever had. Both were delicious options. I also tried their agua Fresca and I loved the Frutas flavor more than the coconut, but they have probably about 10 flavors at least. The ice cream flavors are varied and many. Suffice to say, it can compete with other big name ice cream place. The price is also very competitive. It has a cheerful ambience as an ice cream parlor should have and clean. The seating and tables are also very appropriate and not flashy. I am surprised that this place opened for a month under the radar of my fellow foodies. I guess it's because of the location. Then again the location is not bad either since it is closer to the casino and right on broad. All in all, I give the place 5 stars which I only give when all factors are considered: good taste, cleanliness, ambience, and great service. Went here for Sunday Funday with my kids. It's near our home and was a perfect trip to end the weekend and satisfy our sweet tooth. They have a wide variety of treats and snacks. However there was no menu. So I felt a lil rushed (as there was a line behind us) and we were trying to figure out what we wanted. The Popsicles looked delicious but they are labeled on the sticks so it was hard reading them while in line. They definitely need a menu. My other complaint was the language barrier. I had to ask another employee to help us b/c ours didn't speak English well. I felt bad but I just couldn't communicate my questions well. The inside of the shop is bright colored and very clean. I was worried that I may get tired of the flavor in a full serving, and instead I went with the corn (with whole corn kernels in it) and churro ice cream. The corn was different from any ice cream I've ever tried. The churro pieces weren't great as chunks in the ice cream, but it was fine. At the end I found myself craving more of that almond tequila ice cream. The interior is really bright and inviting. The store is large with many tables and green chairs designed with circles. The space is open and clean. Selection of food is actually overwhelming. I have visited 3 times and I still don't know what things on the menu are since I don't know Spanish. I have been satisfied with my ice cream on all 3 visits but I am bothered by the fact that some of the labels identifying the product on the sliding doors over the ice cream are rubbed off. I asked what the flavors were but the girl helping that said she was new had to keep asking another employee and I didn't really understand what she was saying. To me those are "mystery flavors." I was originally confident by the appearance of the restaurant that they followed rules set by the health department but when the new girl serving me started cutting up my banana for my banana split with her bare hands I felt very unsettled. This is my new favorite ice cream place in town. I came here because a lot of my students had recommended this place . Now, I have to admit that I am comparing it to the only other ice cream place in town that is similar, which is Diamonds. The ice cream at both places is amazing, but what makes this place stand out is the fact that they have more non-ice cream food selections and the service. Don't get me wrong, the service at Diamonds is good, but the service I got here was as if I had gone to my best friends ice cream shop and she genuinely wanted me to try different flavors because she was proud of the ice cream she had made. I came in with two other friends and the lady told me I could try any flavor. I tend to be shy when people tell me this and try maybe one flavor, but the woman who was working didn't wait for me to even say I wanted to try it, she saw my eyes light up and she got the little spoon and gave me a sample without me even asking. Even better, when I asked her what her favorite flavor was, she gave me a sample right away. I was very surprised at how delicious the pine nut ice cream was. Dulce Vida "Sweet Life" is a welcomed addition along the Old Westland mall corridor. It's easily view-able if you're on broad street with it's brightly colored logo. It's settled nice and snug at the end of one of the remaining strip malls. The inside is open, clean, and brightly colored. You'll feel like a kid again, seriously! They have a menu with huge pictures of all their offerings. Note.. this isn't just ice-cream, they have walking tacos creations like 'Dori-locos' and other warm treats and bagged snacks pretty well known in the Mexican community. The English is pretty lightly spoken for most workers, but if you can point, and read the tags as best as you can, they will get you taken care of. Even beginners Spanish would work, honestly. Either way, they were helpful and really friendly. They didn't make you feel uncomfortable. They have so many other refreshing treat items here, a lot of fruit based treats like Fruit de Crema, Agua Fresca and delicious looking Popsicles. In the end I settled with a large scoop of Bubble Gum ice cream-- Brightly colored, and it made my inner 5 year old squeal with delight.
