I called them as I am a disabled Veteran and had to walk over a mile to this towing company that illegally obtained my car and they refused to help a broke down Veteran get to his vehicle to get it out of a pound. I explained to the police I was sick, diabetes Type 1 and Stage 5 Kidney Failure, and needed my insulin and necessary medication before possible Ketoacidosis, and they refused to get me an officer on sight or anything. I could have had serious complications from their lack of duty or compassion. I will be contacting higher ups and or other agencies concerning this police departments lack of morals and not standing behind what having a badge really means.

Officer Hill came who is a specialist for the police came up. We needed to get into the apartment where there was no answer but the dog was whimpering. The alert men gave us permission to knock the door down and we ended up calling the fire department to do this as they are better equipped. Long story short officer Robert's and officer Hill were amazing so kind and understanding and there was another officer that stayed in the background were all kind. I cannot give them enough appreciation. Thank you to the Irving police officers

I stayed in a hotel the (OVO)on the beltline, and someone had entered my room on multiple occasions without my permission while I was sleep. I called the non-emergency to see if I could get a body examination as I wasn't sure if I was assaulted. I explained to them the physical concerns I had, they said that I should go to a doctor and get checked out and that was the end of the call .I called back a couple days later to see if I can get a call report and the operator who was very sweet and patient with me dispatched an officer at my request. A police officer (Mr. Monken) called me maybe 10 minutes later and told me that it was highly unlikely that I was assaulted and not aware of the incident. Asking me if I was on any medications that'll cause me to deep sleep, which I replied to no. He also stated that I should maybe see a doctor for other health concerns. April 13th the hotel told me I had to leave because I was supposedly causing problems which they couldn't explain to me .I let them know that I had mail on it's way to that location and if they could hold it for me .The attendant at the time said yes, that they'd hold my mail for me. I left but stayed near the library because I am a student and I need wi-fi and I don't have a car or a lot of money to spend on Ubers. I would've gone home sooner if I hadn't been waiting for my packages. Finally April 21st comes chime alerts that my delivery is delivered .I call the hotel and speak to a male attendant who told me that there was nothing there for me and hangs up on me .I call back and he answer but says nothing again I call back nothing. I'm angry and annoyed at this point I call the police to report my things missing/stolen. They ask me if I checked the postal office. I give them the spill about everything they're telling I can't make a police report but dispatch police to talk to me say the same thing .This is where things really bother my nerves .I tell them I have to get back to GA before the 24 of April, and that I need my card. Officer Dunlop and Schaeffer or something like that chuckle in my face while I'm clearly in distress .Dunlop states that maybe I shouldn't trust strangers with my mail. He says that I don't need police report I say I guess not since they told me no crime was committed and they give me ID back and leave.

FBI told me to call the DPD's Financial Crimes division to get them to look into the account owner, who is either intentionally or unwittingly acting as a fraud ring money laundering mule. When I did, the DEI phone operator, probably miserable at her lowly position with zero prospects for advancement so late in life, was rude and unsympathetic, telling me I had NO PROOF that this happened!!! I have proof - documents, emails, texts, and the wire loss itself, LOL. For her to say that, and so pompously... these people are not "protecting and serving", that's for sure, lol. I felt ridiculed and doubted and extremely offensive that they did not believe a senior citizen and practically stood up for the neighborhood thieves instead.. I guess she's waiting for something to happen to myself or one of my family members. I would like to add that the male officers were very polite and seemed more engaged to what I had to say.

The DPD (North Central) responded very quickly and luckily, it wasn't a burglary but was a motion sensor glitsch/malfunction with our system. This is the first time something like this has happened to us and while seeing police at our house probably worried or surprised our neighbors, I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to our officers, not only in our area but citywide. I also realize and am relieved that our particular incident was very minor compared to what so many others have had to deal with and have possibly needed the police for. They have a very hard, all-consuming and sometimes thankless job (especially these days) where sadly, too many people are all too happy and quick to complain and criticize while forgetting that these officers are human beings and have voluntarily chosen this as their career/job, many giving up holidays, nights, weekends and lots of other times with their loved ones. I'm so incredibly fortunate to not only be a part of such a great neighborhood (and city) with amazing neighbors but to feel like we're being kept safe and helped by these hardworking men and women. The next time you see an officer, think about saying "thank you." Just a thought.
