We got cheese from The Cheese Fairy then did some wine tasting, several seriously delicious red wines! Enjoyed chilling, drinking wine and playing the games they provided. Bought several bottles of wine to bring home read more

Nice Wines in beautiful downtown in historic Baker City. it's really nice that there's a cheese right in the same room and the lady makes great cheeses and meats plate that was just went together very well. Highly recommended while in Baker City Oregon. read more

Super friendly staff and very cute tasting room. Since it was Black Friday, they were even giving tastes of their reserves so we sampled all 9, including their bubbly white on tap. All of their wines were on the drier end, even their Reisling, so if that's your taste, you will love these wines! Not one of them was sub-par. Our faves were the red blend and the reisling. Oh, and the $95 reserve (the name I can't remember...) was incredible! The best thing was that they waived the tasting fee when we bought some bottles. Also, there is a near chocolate shop right next door that is worth checking out! read more

Owner(s) were extremely helpful recommending places to eat in town during our 5-night stay. We also sampled and purchased some of their excellent wine. they grow their grapes in the Baker City and surrounding area, as well as co-op with Washington Wineries on certain products. Well done, Copper Belt. I'll be ordering wine to have shipped soon. read more

Specialties

We specialize in small lot production of fine wines from fruit sourced from local area vineyards in Baker County Oregon, as well as Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley. Our favorites are the Rancher's Red Blend, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir for our reds. Our Sparkling, Ranchers White and Riesling are the top choices for our whites. Stop by our tasting room any day to give them a taste and talk with our tasting room staff. Cheers!

History

Established in 2010.

In 2004 we started growing wine grapes outside Baker City Oregon. After 6 years of successful grape growing and 5 years of winemaking we established Copper Belt Wines. The name comes from the regions mining history at the end of the 1800s and early 1900s. Today we grow a majority of our own grapes and focus our production on small lots of European style wines.
