Came back for Thanksgiving last year. It was still good but not as spectacular as previous times. There was a bit of a wait despite our reservations. Will update when trying again.

My dad, sister and I came here for dinner on the Thursday night before graduation. My sister made reservations at 7:15pm but it wasn't too crowded so probably would've been okay without. There's a parking garage next to the restaurant around the corner which is convenient. For starters, I did their special which was the clam chowder. It was really good and came with oyster crackers in it. For dinner, I did the steak frites and the fries were seasoned with garlic. The steak had a little bit too much fat for my liking but overall delicious! My sister did the salmon with green beans and mashed potatoes and my dad got the chicken pot pie. Nice place, good pick for a night out with family or for a date. Our waitress Amber was very sweet and attentive also!

This place is a favorite date night spot , the service is always A+. It doesn't matter who you get to serve you reservations are not required. Seating seems to be always available. Ambience is right, lighting is right, the vibe is chilled , check out spot for Friday night, dinner and drinks. You won't regret it.

OMG food was amazing- service was Excellent and the vibe is relaxed and casual. Our server Amber was very informative and pleasant. She told us the specials and recommended other favorites. I got the burger and my daughter got the chicken with spanish. ALL THE FOOD-WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION! And the dessert was huge and delicious! OMG I'm drooling while writing this. This place is great for special occasions, birthdays, anything. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back for more bread pudding!

Nice restaurant very nice staff. Our waiter Dan was friendly and very helpful with answering my menu questions 10/10 Burger was grilled and cooked perfectly as I requested and it was so juicy and flavorful. The pineapple mule was perfectly done with a balanced ginger and pineapple flavor. Great place!

We went to Copper Canyon during lunch on a weekday. Not too crowded and servers were incredibly friendly. Here is my review of each item we ordered: - cornbread skillet (8/10) - fiesta eggrolls (7/10) - fish and chips (9/10) - Stanford cheeseburger, no cheese (8/10) -- fries tasted bland

A truly remarkable brunch experience! After two bad experiences that same morning, my guests and I decided to try Copper Canyon. We had an amazing experience - service and food- wise. We were seated immediately at a very cozy booth and from start to finish our service was top tier. Amber served us and she was professional and a breath of fresh air, attentive and personable. If you can get her as your server you are in for a treat! The food did everything it was supposed to. Amber suggested the Fiesta eggrolls, and the bite of putting lettuce the sauce on top of one the eggrolls was UNREAL. A must try - one of the best non-traditional eggrolls, I have ever had. The crab dip was delish, came to the table warm and the bread served with it was so softly toasted. The corn bead was so good -we couldn't even wait to take a picture. Every item we had was served hot and delicious.

I was happy to see a lot of improvement at this place. Bar drinks updates, food pretty good, nice services and ambiance. Looking forward to come back here.

Copper Canyon never fails to deliver exceptional service, a warm atmosphere, and delicious food. The service is exceptional, especially from our waiter Robert. He was super polite, clearly explained the menu and specials, and checked in on us while we dined. This is my favorite restaurant in Silver Spring. Keep up the great service, Copper Canyon!

Convenient spot for a group of us to hang out before heading on vacation. Located in downtown Silver Spring you can catch a great bite to eat and hit the movies afterwards. I usually go to the Glenarden location with family and this spot is growing on me. Great for groups, dates, etc. For those who drink, they have a whole page for you. The staff was friendly and helpful ( they've been so each time). Stop by and enjoy your meal!

This restaurant is huge inside and nicely laid out. I met a friend here for dinner and we had an overall decent experience. Our server was friendly and attentive at the beginning but completely fell off at the end. We had to flag another staff member when wanted to get dessert and another server later for our check as our server stopped checking on us after our entrees arrived. Besides our server issue, the cocktails we ordered were delicious. I loved mine - Peartini and Fleur de Lis and was able to try the Malibu Daquiri and Lemon Drop my friend got. All were so good! For food, I got the Crab cakes and my friend got the Rattlesnake Pasta. My crab cakes were good but not amazing. We also shared a Key Lime Pie for dessert which was also pretty good. A decent experience here but the cocktails were the highlight.

I was told this charge does not go to the waiter but is instead shared with other staff (busser, host, etc.), and that customers are expected to leave an additional tip for the server. I initially left a 20% tip because I did not notice the automatic 18% service charge. To make matters worse, I was initially given the wrong receipt, which added to the confusion. When I realized the service charge had already been included and asked for the extra tip to be removed, the waiter told me he does not receive any portion of the 18% charge. I asked whether the expectation was for customers to leave a total of 38%, and I was told that is how it works at this restaurant and in Washington DC. I found the billing and tipping process confusing and misleading. I won't be back.

Dining areas are in several room spaces, instead of 1 big cavernous hall. There is a bar room as well as a tavern in the basement. Outdoor lawn has plenty of tables and lush greenery, perfect for a good weather day picnic. Our group was in a bigger room and a few steps downstairs from the bar area. Waitstaff was professional and helpful. We first ordered drinks, then starters. We ordered entrées after drinks and starters arrived for good pacing. Several of us shared a Skyfall Cabernet Sauvignon. It was smooth and fruity. We shared pimento cheese dip with veggies and bread triangles, bread basket, burrata and spiced cauliflower. All were excellent, Star was the burrata, so creamy and had pesto with it. My entree was a prosciutto sandwich with fig spread. The sandwich was on ciabatta bread. It held the sweet fig spread, savory prosciutto and soft Brie . Very filling and yummy, and came with crisp fries. Everyone loved their food. Some had dessert and coffee afterwards which was also top notch.

Dear Restaurant Owner,…read more My husband and I had been looking forward to dining at your restaurant for quite some time and finally had the opportunity to visit on Tuesday, June 2, before attending a concert nearby at 8:00 PM. We arrived at approximately 6:45 PM, were seated promptly, and were greeted by our server, Anna. She was pleasant; however, the service we received throughout the evening was extremely disappointing. We ordered drinks to start. My husband ordered a beer, and I ordered a rosé prosecco. When my drink arrived, it was visibly flat. I tasted it anyway and found it to be both warm and lacking carbonation. When I brought this to Anna's attention, she responded, "I noticed it looked flat too; I'll get you another one." Frankly, this was concerning. If she noticed the drink was not of acceptable quality, it should never have been served to a customer in the first place. We then ordered the mussels appetizer, which was excellent and one of the highlights of our visit. Shortly afterward, I ordered the swordfish special, and my husband ordered the shrimp po' boy. Neither dish would typically require an unusually long preparation time. Unfortunately, what followed was nearly an hour of waiting with no communication. Anna never checked on the status of our meals, nor did she provide any updates. Meanwhile, we watched multiple tables who were seated after us receive their food and complete their meals. By 7:45 PM, with our concert approaching, my husband suggested that we ask for our meals to be packed to go. It quickly became apparent that our entrees had not even been prepared. When Anna finally returned, she told us it would be "another five minutes," indicating that our meals had not yet been cooked despite being ordered nearly an hour earlier. At that point, we had no choice but to take the food to go so that we would not miss our concert. As a result, we ended up eating cold food later that evening. What made the experience particularly disappointing was that we had genuinely been excited to visit your restaurant. We had heard good things and were looking forward to a memorable dinner before our evening out. Instead, we left feeling overlooked and wondering what we had done to warrant such poor service and lack of attention. To my surprise, my husband--who is incredibly kind and non-confrontational--still left Anna a 20% tip, despite the fact that the service did not merit it. I am writing not to seek anything in return, but simply to make you aware of our experience. The quality of the mussels showed us that your kitchen is capable of producing excellent food. Unfortunately, the service and lack of communication overshadowed what should have been a wonderful evening. Thank you for taking the time to read this feedback. I hope it helps prevent future guests from having a similar experience. t

We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which were rich and flavorful, followed by the Grand Marnier Society Wings--a standout appetizer with a great balance of sweet and savory flavors. Both dishes were served with vegetables of the day, rice and peas, and sweet plantains, creating a well-rounded and satisfying meal. The seafood was cooked well, and the Caribbean-inspired flavors added a unique twist to each dish. For drinks, we enjoyed The Pearl, the Lavender French 75, The Golden Hour, and an Old Fashioned. Each cocktail was well-crafted and paired nicely with the menu. We finished with the Warm Cookie Skillet, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and a caramel drizzle. It arrived warm, gooey, and was the perfect dessert to share. For starters, we got the New England Clam Chowder and an order of Chickpea Fries. New England Clam Chowder - definitely a chowder and not a soup (heavy cream base) with a nice flavor and a healthy amount of clam bits. Chickpea Fries - A nice portion of well prepared fries. Nice crunch on the outside, but moist on the inside. Well seasoned and not oily. Comes with ketchup and an avocado lime ranch, which was ok. It's a huge portion and we took most of it home to enjoy later. Good use of chickpeas. Branzino - This is a whole fish split in half. Pretty easy to remove the bones oneself. The skin was nice and crunchy with the meat inside moist. Well prepared. I'm not a huge fan of dill and I think the seasoning of dill is a bit overdone here. (I'm pretty sure it's dill. Whatever it is, it's too heavy for me and detracts from the meal.). The wild rice side dish is very good. Lobster Roll - Excellent. My partner ordered this and the only comment was that the large was very big and next time they likely would get the small one. Lots of delicious, cold lobster meat. The fries also were excellent. The service overall was very good. Our food was served at an appropriate rate (apps, then main, which seems not to be important at a lot of restaurants these days) and the water service was excellent. Recommend this restaurant. I probably would not get the Branzino again because of the heavy dill seasoning, but there are other items in the menu that look interesting.
