My understanding is that the chef and most of the staff are the same, which is cool! We tried their limoncello and food offering at taste WA, and that is how we discovered this restaurant. I'm glad we did! For food, we had the caviar, spot prawns, and steak frites, and they were all fabulous! Their interactive cocktail menu, which uses a blue light to reveal hidden information, was a nice touch! We'll surely be back next time we visit Woodinville, and next time I'll be sure to take photos!

Parking was tricky (mostly because we couldn't figure out our map) but it is centralized located in the School House District. Let's start with the secret menu - so fun! We had a blast pretending to be sleuths and reading through it. What a clever and different way to bring some excitement to the experience! Be sure to check it out if you go in. Now for the food - we ordered a large variety of options to share between the four of us - and everything was delicious. We tried the house focaccia with honey lavender butter, sausage rolls, crispy mushrooms, steak frites, burrata, and poutine. I couldn't choose a favorite if I had to. It was especially fun because it was a Canadian and Australian inspired selection, and our friend who we were with is both Canadian and Australian, so it pulled at all the heart strings. We lucked out because we came in later and they got us a table. Next time we'll definitely make a reservation.

Really giving that "local neighborhood restaurant" kind of feel: simple, straightforward, and warm. The food was good as well -- I ended up getting the croque madame which was decent. The fish tacos were really the standout though, absolutely would recommend.

It was a large bowl of romaine with maybe 3 little stips of kale. And I had to dig to find that. Additionally, the dressing had no flavor. It was not a kale ceasar. After working to flag down our server, I ordered the fish tacos instead. They tasted pretty good, but were heavily sauced and had more crunchy coating than fish. Oddly served with French fries. While they tasted good, I wouldn't order them again. But I should start with how great the waitress was when we were first seated. Answered questions about the menu and made suggestions. I even mentioned to my little group how great she was. I spoke too soon. We then couldn't flag down any server to ask for utensils so we could serve up the salad we were sharing as an app. That was a theme at this meal, very uneven service. Our entrées showed up before we were done with those apps. Besides the Ceasar salad. We had the prime rib dip. Tasted good, but a lot more bun than meat. Served with fries. Apparently there was a choice of fries. But we didn't know that and the server never asked. We also had the chicken and waffles. Started out enjoyable. But the way it was plated it quickly became very soggy. They should serve the syrup/sauce all on the side. Then there was the handling of the check. We asked for a split between the 2 couples. The server rattled off what we ordered and put a machine in front of me to pay. No presentation of a bill to see what I was bring charged. After paying I learned there was a charge for using a credit card. Whike it was only a couple bucks. I should know that before being charged. I asked for it to be voided so I could in pay with cash. The best thing we ate was a special appetizer - crostini topped with herded goat cheese, roasted yellow bell pepper and prosciutto. Even the toasted bread was well seasoned. Very yummy. Too bad not on the regular menu. As our other app we shared an ahi salad. Tasted pretty good but very hard to serve with chopsticks (and no possibility of flagging down a server). This place has potential, but I dont plan on going back.

We had some great conversations while I was enjoying my order. I got an Irish coffee and a slice of banana cream pie. Don't judge... the combo was awesome! The bananas were an ideal ripeness. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back to Woodinville! Great service, great drinks, great pie!!!

Chef Brad's version definitely gets high marks for it's flakey crust, creamy coconut filling topped with Chantilly cream. The Steak & Ale Pot Pie warmed up in the air fryer came out well. It's a tasty pie with generous amount of tender beef with peas and carrots. I'm convinced that any pie I get here is going to be delicious and satisfying.

The menu changes seasonally, and they host special events once or twice a month with unique fixed food and drink pairings-so there's always something new to try (and the events are a blast). A huge part of what keeps us coming back is the staff. The servers are friendly and attentive (and a lot of fun to chat with if it gets slow). And if you sit at the bar (highly recommend!), Cameron and Michael take it to another level. They're both talented, passionate and a lot of fun. They're always happy to make something off-menu or surprise us with bartender's choice. They've definitely turned us into cocktail snobs lol. And the food absolutely holds its own. We originally came for the cocktails on another bartender's recommendation, but we were blown away by how good everything has been. The ribeye is easily as good (or better than) steaks I've paid twice as much for elsewhere. The burger and fries are among the best around-and these days, one of the best deals anywhere if you go during happy hour. Similar can be said for everything else on the menu; we've had every appetizer, entree and side dish at least twice :P And since we're usually posted up at the bar, when there's a lull we sometimes get to chat w/ the kitchen, and it's clear they take real pride in what they do. It's just an awesome place with awesome people! :)
