Great place to stop for a burger and a beer. Right off of 141. They also do Wing night on Friday and a taco night on Thursday.

I have an enormous problem with the Wheel Inn and I'm afraid there's nothing that can fix it. It's…read morenot the fact that it's an hour and a half drive from where I live. It's not the fact that everyone there is friendly and kind. It's got to do with their wings. The wings are...outstanding! Better then any that I've had in Missoula. Or, in that matter, pretty much anywhere else. They are perfectly fried. Seasoned with just enough heat to make that beer taste extra delicious but not so hot that your mouth becomes a cauldron. There's a full menu that includes, from what I was told, outrageously good burgers. Maybe next time. Take a seat on the deck and be prepared to be as happy as you can be. If Leah is working your guaranteed service with a smile. The Wheel Inn is my new happy place.

We came up for the 4th of July weekend and decided to stop in for a drink. It was later in the night and since it was July 3rd it was slammed by any means. Maybe 15 people in the whole place. We sat at the bar and waited and waited and waited. The bar tender look over at us and went back to chatting with other customers. No big deal right? Maybe they were ordering and we were in no rush. Finally she came over and we ordered and got our drinks. That where the good part ends. We finished our drinks and were chatting away thinking she would come back by. After about 20 mins she still hadn't come back. She looked over at us at least 4 times and then went back to giggling and chatting with some friends. Finally we were able to get her attention and we told her we just wanted to close out and she said sure I'll be right back. Then she went right back over to her friends and proceeded to keep chatting and laughing with the same 5 people. After 10 mins went by I tried to wave her down and she looked over at us and went right back to chatting and then what seemed like more friends came in she went to hugging, chatting and serving them. She made more eye contact with us and even when I motioned to close out she look right at me and turned back to her friends and continued chatting. We ended up just leaving and calling it at night. She seems more interested in talking than making any tips or helping any customers.

Thought this would be faster than driving to Craig MT fot a burger. Lazy I only does pizza now (Chicken strips, wings snd Fish & chips on Fridays. the fried foods seem to come out in 30 minutes ). Ordered pizzs at 7:20pm. They had 7 tickets hanging, thought it would be quick. I had to track down staff for drink refills (twice), and they walked by the table every 5 minutes (it seems). At 8:45, no tickets are hanging and no pizza at the table. Its 9:00 pm, no pizza, could they have lost the ticket? We were ghosted by our waitress, and we hadn't complained. After asking to cash out at 9pm. The wait staff checked with the kitchen - promised pizza in the oven - 5 minutes, apologized and said we weren't the only ones not getting our pizzas. What's a boy to do?? 9:03 pm. First pizza came out, not sure when the second will come?? 9:06 pm . . . finally. i hope they figure this out. but i most likely won't return to find out. In the end, they comp'd our drinks. we were so starved we were done 10 minutes after the foof arrived.

It's also very convenient that the brewery is extremely close to the Interstate so relatively easy on and off. But more importantly than that and what my primary focus is are those creative beers! I knew what my first beer was going to be right away and that's when I saw the Old Bull Fashioned. This amber ale tasted just like the Old Fashioned cocktail which I can't recall in ever having such a thing in beet form. It was a really fun one to drink and luckily where they had their beer in cans they had this beer available so I got to take it home and enjoy it once again! It seems like this brewery has a thing for pickles and looking at Yelp pictures they really get creative with toppings for them which is why I also purchased a can of the Spicy Pickle beer to take home. I have had pickle beer before but it's been a hot minute. Old Bull's version is very good and lives right up to the spicy pickle aspect quite nicely. With this beer though we had by itself and didn't pair it with any food as we were not sure what would be a good fit but despite that it didn't diminish our enthusiasm for it. Two other beers I got was their Exit 89 which was a great blonde ale and the Dark Horn English Porter. Both very enjoyable beers also. An additional thing which makes Old Bull so cool is if you go to the restrooms in the hallway you will see a map of all of Montana 's breweries, when they opened and the status of "closed" if the brewery is no longer in business. This is so informative and just really cool all the way around. Definitely a five star experience with this brewery!

SWPFTD had picked up a Montana beer trail map and lo and behold Frenchtown has a brewery. How did I not know this and how could I not stop and make OBB brewery visit #276? OBB is right off 90 so if you are headed into or out of Missoula it's convenient to stop and check it out. We were first in the door right after they opened at two. OBB has a really nice taproom and it turns out has been around for about five years. Kind of a Big Dill is a spicy pickled blonde. She sounds like a good date actually. This was spicy but just as I was starting to worry I had made a mistake it mellowed out. Barbwire Crosser stout was very smooth and great roasty flavor. This would be really good on nitro! The Mrs is a Scotch wee heavy. Really nice flavor and would be perfect for sipping in front of the fire while it's snowing outside. It's not snowing now though! 60°!!!! Bugle Juice is a hazy IPA we it's really great juicy flavor. This beer should have "JUICY" in big letters across the butt of its sweat pants. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. SWPFTD had ordered a Straight Shooter amber ale. This was another solid beer. SWPFTD was happy with it and I like it when she's happy. OBB is putting out some really good beer. I travel a lot and go to breweries all over the country and OBB holds its own and then some. I liked all of these beers. Nicole working the bar was welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

I'll start out saying that it's off the beaten path, lol, down a short path of the main road that looks like it doesn't go anywhere but it leads to this amazing building built by the owner of the brewery. The beer is all organic, with a small yet wonderful selection and you can tell it has been brewed with love and is great!! The Yippee IPA and the Ambitious Lager are both amazing. The interior of the building is a sight to see!! From my conversation with Jim (the owner) most of the material was reclaimed or locally sourced. It's absolutely beautiful! The ambiance is wonderful as you are sitting right next to the fermentation and brewing tanks and a wood brining furnace. The attention to detail that was put into this building is amazing! If your in the area and have never been you should be here, if your traveling through you should stop by for a beer or two...or three A hidden gem

Quick word of advice: if you're heading east toward Butte, you'll need to drive through the whole town of Drummond to get back on the interstate. Parker's Restaurant sits conveniently just off the highway and boasts what might be the largest burger menu I've ever seen -- over 100 different options. The interior is eclectic, packed with nostalgic touches like vintage glass Coke bottles and quirky figurines. You can order from printed menus or from the massive chalkboard that runs the length of the restaurant, listing entrees from end to end. Even on a busy late Saturday afternoon, we were greeted promptly and seated right away, though open tables were limited. Our drink order was taken and delivered quickly, and the server was ready for our food order whenever we were. The only downside was the wait time -- about 30 minutes from ordering to the table. I had a tough time choosing, but ultimately went with the Ultimate Patty Melt: two ¼-pound patties, grilled onions, grilled peppers, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing on grilled dark rye. The patties were fresh, thick, and clearly hand-formed in the kitchen. The onions and peppers added great flavor, though I found the Thousand Island a bit lacking. Luckily, their fry sauce was excellent and made a perfect table-side substitute. My buddy ordered the Chili Size, which was massive and also featured two ¼-pound patties. As with any chili dish, the chili itself makes or breaks it -- theirs was solid, loaded with both beans and meat, and you could clearly taste the ground beef in every bite. Overall, Parker's delivers a fun, old-school roadside diner experience with huge portions and plenty of burger variety. Perfect stop if you're cruising through Montana on I-90!
