We split a blueberry feta salad, which was delicious. My hamburger was tasty - made with Montana beef, topped with bacon and fried cheese curds. For $2 extra I got the garlic parmesan fries. Yum... My husband ordered the fish n chips, served crispy and hot, Sawtooth Ale battered cod. We washed everything down with a couple beers - namely their super popular Dirt Church hazy IPA and Huckleberry Honey Ale. On our way out, we bought a couple 6-packs for later; the brown haired lady that helped us at the bar was super cool and gave us a couple stickers. Overall, a great experience. Sometimes these types of beers can be pretty sugary and be a bit much. But that wasn't a problem with Huckleberry Honey Ale. Yes, it was sweet. No doubt about it but it wasn't it's dominant feature which was great and made this fruit beer a fun one to drink. Flavors to play around on your tongue with this beverage are sweet, fruity, honey and subtle. The subtle is probably the mechanism at play where nothing comes off too heavy handed , making the flavor profile well balanced. The beer is light bodied which is great as the summer time temps crank up the thermometer the light bodied beers are most appreciated.

For Hidden Legend, Steve and I had their Apple Mead Cyser which was an apple mead as indicated in the title and in flavor it had a very noticeable presence of that fruit. It was almost like a cider as we kept it chilled like a dry cider but had the thickness of a mead which put a fun spin to the flavor profile. And of course the presence of honey was detected also like you should expect with a mead giving this particular mead a pleasant and natural sweetness. A very nice change of pace was achieved here and feel like a revisit of their other mead options should be in order.

A Thaiger has sushi selections and Taiwanese/Asian fusion type dishes. it is a diner type setting and it is best to get there early. They are open for lunch from, I think, 11 to 2 and then they close until dinner time at 5. They are closed on Mondays and sometimes they have to close during the week because of staffing shortages. This seems to be getting more common in this post-covid world. It seems that it is just hard to find folks who will commit to working. I love A-Thaiger and, while I do try to order new items on occasion, I am a creature of habit. I absolutely love their sweet and sour chicken. I is amazing to me. The chicken is fried up in a crunchy-ish batter, is packed full of veggies and has several pieces of pineapple in it. it is covered by a sweet and sour sauce that is NOT the standard out-of-a-bottle orange gelatinous goo. Quite frankly, it is delicious. We also love their Shumai appetizer (did I spell that right?) and sushi options. The only thing we haven't enjoyed so far is the Tom Yum soup. It is a bit more sour than we enjoy. The only consistent ding that I have for A-Thaiger is that they are not good at answering their phone because they get so busy. Sometimes we think they are just busy and drive 40 minutes only to learn they are closed due to staffing shortages or they are too packed to accept more guests.
