Our first morning, we had Todd, who was very attentive and took good care of us. We had the coffee, muffin, one pancake and a breakfast sandwich with bacon and the fruit skewer, along and a mocha. Everything was very good. We were pleasantly surprised how good the pancake was as my husband is very fussy about his pancakes. I was worried the bacon would have a spicy cake, but the cake is very minimal. The bacon was delicious! Our second day was not as good of an experience as we had a younger server who was not at the level of Todd. We laid our vouchers on the side of the table, just as we had done the day before, and this he completely missed them and brought our bill with full charges. Therefore, he had to go back and redo the bill. He didn't seem fully awake. LOL. He also was not as friendly as Todd. Next time we go, we will ask for Todd. This time, we got the latte and muffin, and also shared the traditional breakfast with bacon and fruit. It was perfect for splitting.. we will definitely come back again next time we are in town. This is a really cute café.

First of all, taking the detour to stop by Jerome was definitely worth it. It's a very unique town on its own, and the drive from Jerome to Phoenix was absolutely amazing, it almost felt like a drive through the Pacific Northwest. Back to the coffee shop... it's tiny, but as an architect myself, I really appreciated the unique "flatiron" design. They don't have too many items on their menu, but it seems like they do what they have on the menu really well. I tried a vanilla latte, and it was great! I'd highly recommend checking out this coffee shop and strolling around town to enjoy even more of the uniqueness in Jerome!

The Italian and the Barbecue Chicken Salad are tasty choices too, each with fresh ingredients and great flavor. The sliced peaches were the surprise favorite, perfectly ripe and a great side dish. The lemonade hits the spot as a thirst quencher, especially after walking around town. The owners are incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, which adds to the charm of the place. The muffins looked amazing, but after those sandwiches... there was absolutely no room left. Maybe next time ,assuming the Jerome ghosts don't get to them first. They're known for snacking when no one's looking. Parking is a bit further up the hill in a paid lot, but the short walk is worth it for a great lunch and great people.

I've been a long-time supporter and patient local observer. The new owners have made consistent wonky staff and menu changes. I'm not a complainer without offering solutions, so I've offered constructive perspective on the issues. However, if I ask you to keep mayonnaise (new addition to old menu item) out of my vegetable burrito because it nauseates me...and all I get is an argument from staff telling me it was always made that way and the menu states it - when it clearly does not, I have no need to patronize an establishment which is devoid of basic customer service etiquette. The singular change I will not accept is being served up hatred with my order. The new staff - Pam and Violet, have overtly argumentative, unwilling, and erroneous positions toward their basic job function. This is no longer a welcoming establishment and no matter how much the pastry situation improved - Jessica, everything else has significantly devolved here!!!! You no longer have my patronage, and I am now the local who will OVERTLY steer my fellows elsewhere.
