There were flies buzzing around the area where we were seated outside, which was rather off-putting. The lattes and mochas, priced at around $6-7, arrived lukewarm. Additionally, there was a mix-up with our order; my husband had requested extra bacon, but it was forgotten. A different waiter came to check on us, and when we mentioned the missing bacon, she promised to look into it. We ended up waiting for over 30 minutes, but the bacon never arrived. It was quite disappointing. What was once a charming little café with a delightful atmosphere has sadly turned into just an average spot.

The singular change I will not accept is being served up hatred with my order. The new staff - Pam and Violet, have overtly argumentative, unwilling, and erroneous positions toward their basic job function. I was worried the bacon would have a spicy cake, but the cake is very minimal. The bacon was delicious! Our second day was not as good of an experience as we had a younger server who was not at the level of Todd. We laid our vouchers on the side of the table, just as we had done the day before, and this he completely missed them and brought our bill with full charges. Therefore, he had to go back and redo the bill. He didn't seem fully awake. LOL. He also was not as friendly as Todd. Next time we go, we will ask for Todd. The staff were friendly, professional, and clearly trying their best, but it was painfully obvious that they were dealing with way too much pressure from management. Trina, the owner, was exceptionally rude. Not just having a bad day the kind of attitude that makes you wonder why someone who interacts with customers would want to run a restaurant in the first place. The way she interacted with people and delegated responsibilities made the entire environment feel unnecessarily stressful. And unfortunately, the food isn't good enough to make up for any of that. The food was disappointing, and definitely not worth what was paid for it. There are far too many restaurants where you can get a better meal without dealing with an owner who makes the experience unpleasant. The servers deserve a lot of credit because they were easily the best part of the experience. You could tell they were working hard and trying to keep things together despite the management issues around them. When the employees are the ones saving the experience while the owner is making it worse, that's a pretty serious management problem. I wouldn't recommend this place, and I definitely won't be returning.

The breakfast sandwich is a must have. Ive never had beef bacon before and wow, amazing! So filling, great for a pre-hike meal. Avocado toast was also delicious but only one slice so a bit smaller. We also had the banana peanut butter toast which was a bigger serving than we thought. The peanut butter was definitely sticky. The mexican hot chocolate was a delicious coffee alternative for me, especially the whipped cream. Second day I had a burrito instead and the french toast. They were out of syrup for the toast and I wish it had been a bit better, but still good. Same with the burrito, nothing bad to say about it but not as awesome as the sandwich on the first day. Again, maybe due to it being so slammed. Would definitely like to visit again!

I'm not a fan but he LOVED it! I asked for a double toasted bagel with cream cheese that we split; the bagel was perfectly toasted (I like them brown, not just warm). We'll certainly add this place to the rotation! As an aside, there is a cute little shop in the retro row of buildings behind it. I think it will be a great place for holiday gifts and AZ items!
