The Flatiron is quite possibly the best thing in Jerome. The cozy cafe situated in the most precarious location with a really great look out point. My cousin and I were lucky enough to swoop right in before the kitchen closed. We shared a grilled and cheese sandwich ($10.75) + ($4.50 for the ham). To be honest, I felt a little impatient waiting for our sandwich because given the space and kitchen, I just expected a simple grilled ham & cheese situation. Instead, out came the most glorious grilled ham and cheese I have ever encountered. It was beautifully crafted - 2 types of melty cheese (cheddar + havarti), a thick slice of honey ham, topped with fresh spinach all sandwiched between two toasted slices of garlic butter-ed whole grain bread. It was unexpectedly gourmet and a perfect treat after trekking up and down the hills of Jerome. I'm pretty sure I met Chad during our quick meal. He's nice. This place is cozy and a vibe! Walked into badass music and just great casual conversation. It's rare to find people that can just vibe and converse so naturally that I almost forgot to order. I didn't catch the gals name that helped with our order but she made this place an experience and like we were their closest friends and I was legit at their house. We got the caramel latte and that iced coffee was shaken and smooth. Obviously got a scone since Chad is local famous for them and it was perfection. the show stopper are his eggs. We stopped in on our way to Sedona to grab a coffee, small seating area but we sat at the bar and got to see them make the coffee and food and it was great. Staff were very welcoming and nice and even gave us a fresh free scone which was TO DIE FOR. I believe it was Apple cranberry. Perfect crunchy on the outside and slight soft on top. Visiting Sedona and decided to take a trip up to Jerome. This place was recommended to me by a friend who had coffee here and thought the food looked good. The food here was amazing, so fresh, the best meal I ate during my week in Sedona. I'm vegan so sometimes the vegan options are limited to a veggie burger or salad. I got the chickpea sandwich with a side salad and immediately upon tasting the salad I knew this was going to be an amazing meal and it was. This place is easy to miss but well worth looking for. I ate at vegan restaurants during my stay and still nothing compared to how yummy this sandwich and salad were. I will definitely make the drive here on my next visit to Sedona. Also plenty people came in just for the scones. It looked amazing as well with fresh blueberries and made me wish l ate dairy. Oh, and the lemonade was very refreshing. read more

Visited Jerome for my first time today & I'm so happy we decided to stop here. The inside is on the smaller side but luckily for us we were the only ones eating in at the time & the large window is quite a view to look out of and enjoy some delicious food! I got the Chad Bagel & a London Fog Latte & both were DELICIOUS! The Chad bagel is definitely my new favorite way to eat a bagel. Rude, rude, rude.... We came in as a party of four and it wasn't clear if you sit & then order or order then sit so we just kinda stood at the counter waiting. Finally a guy that was sitting at one of the tables got up acting super annoyed like we interrupted his breakfast or something & took our order. we ordered food & I was standing there waiting to pay & the guy/owner/chef/chad (?) told me to "sit down". Not "oh go ahead and take a seat & you can pay later", "not please take a seat & we can settle up after your meal" no just "sit down". So I did and when he brought us our food he just kinda dropped them in front of us, not "enjoy" not a smile, nothing. Also, I ordered the yogurt parfait and he just stuck the big serving spoon he used to get the yogurt out of the container with in my bowl. Like what , can I get a normal sized spoon? The coffee was pretty good and the food was fine but ....yikes why the total disdain and grumpiness? What a bummer. read more

We live in Prescott, visited for the 1st time, the man behind the counter was passive aggressive, rude, condescending & just flat out mean. Perhaps he's having a bad life, or ???
