Laid back, outdoor range. Many options of targets for sale , from $1 per on up. Went on a Friday. RSO only at the pistol range 2-3 times the hour we were there. If you're not versed in safety and such, consider going with someone who is. It was hot (August), but the breeze was nice. You can move your target any distance you'd like. I'll go back as I much prefer outdoor over indoor ranges) (I must say, this is the 1st range I've been to that actually noted our start and finish time. We came here today for my husbands first annual birthday shootout! I had called ahead and spoke with Thomas. Great guy! Very kind and courteous. He was patient with me and answered all of my questions. Definitely above and beyond. When we arrived, the main lobby was large and very nice. All of the employees treated us like they knew us. Super friendly. Thomas checked us in and explained everything. The fun started right away! We did tac 5 and the clay pigeons. And we had an absolute blast! We felt very safe. At each spot we got a visit from a man in a truck just checking in to see if we were having a nice time and everything was going well. If you love the smell of napalm in the morning, this place is just awesome for blowing off some steam... and then pose with your guns to post on Instagram because why not! read more

This is an awesome range. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and readily explained their policies and expectations. Visited for 4th time today with my daughter for my birthday. We have had very good experience coming every time. We are not experts in any way and rent a shotgun each time we shot 5 stand today. The staff is very courteous and professional and have been very helpful getting us comfortable in a safe way and we have had a good time every time. We will be back. I've been shooting here for a few years now and this is a great spot. Tac bays, long range, shotgun and 100yd and 25yd covered bays. It's never been too busy unless there is an organized event on, but these are easy to plan around as they are posted on the range calendar. Members get 7 day access and it's open to the public 5 days a week. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the facility is top notch. Everything you could want is here. read more

I like Copperhead a lot. I got a membership in the beginning of the year and have shot there around a dozen times. If you go on the weekends the tac bays are hard to get but during the week it's empty. All the staff that I have encountered are very respectful and friendly. I have had nothing but a great experience interacting with Thomas and his staff out at Copperhead Creek. I'll have to admit however, after reading Dan H.'s review about the 3-Gun competition, I was a little concerned to try the match. However my concerns were quickly put aside as Thomas and the R.O's, provided an incredible match that was not only challenging but smoothly run as well. We started on time and ended early, ice cold water at every stage no complaints from anyone in attendance. The 3-Gun Matches are by far the best run and most challenging in the area. While you do pay a little more than other area ranges, the service and grounds are far superior. The many options for competition at the range far exceed anything offered at other local ranges. The long distance range has targets out to 400 yards and it looks like they will soon offer even farther distances. Take the trip out, you won't be dissapointed. read more

I like the facilities. Pros: Good facilities, clubhouse and ease of operations. Cons: The pistol Range RSO was good, but was a bit clueless. He interrupted me during firing to ask a question that was not a safety violation. I am an experienced shooter. Not quite sure why the point of the interruption. The incident was very amateurish, but he did maintain eyes on the range and kept the lanes safe and clean. The range is located within the Hidden Fall Adventure facility. You will need to check-in at the main facility (at the entrance, prior to the range main building). They will give you the directions down a dirt road that leads to the range facility. Directions are easy. All in all, a great spot, clean facilities and a place that will become a regular visit for myself and the family. I am ashamed to have not visited sooner. read more

The main draw of the range is proximity to Hidden Falls, making for a fun day of shooting and off-roading. However, the range was very mediocre for the price compared to other area ranges at the same price point. The restrooms were porta-potties that smelled like they hadn't been cleaned out in months. There was absolutely no range safety during our visit either. While my husband and I have range experience, the lack of a range safety would be a severe drawback during more crowded conditions. While I would come back for the shotgun range if I were already returning to Hidden Falls, I would not come specifically for the rifle, pistol, or tactical ranges. Compared to the rest of the Central Texas ranges, this was a disappointment. read more

So Hidden Falls Adventure Park has a really solid shooting facility nestled within...who knew? The grounds include trap & skeet ranges, a group pistol range, a group rifle range, two tactical bays and a long range course. Pretty impressive stuff, especially considering how well the grounds were kept. A friend and I drove out and rented the tactical bay for a very reasonable $15/hr. We probably didn't need it because we mostly had the place to ourselves, but it's great not to have other idiots muzzle sweeping you, constantly calling for cease fires, etc. Well worth the money. Downsides? -It's quite a drive from Austin, and even once you get to the adventure park, the only path to the range is through a moderately rough fire road. You'll want to bring your truck or SUV, my sedan took a bit of a beating getting out to the range and back. -They also don't allow steel core or bi-metal ammo. The backstops seem stout, and with all the rain we've had there wasn't a risk of fire danger...but hey, your land, your rules. Really excited to head back and check out the shotgun courses, if you live in Marble Falls, this place is a must! read more

Copperhead Creek Shooting Club is a great range. They maintain all the ranges exceptionally well. This is one of the only places I have seen that they sets up water stations, tables/chairs and bathrooms throughout the ranges. They offer rifle, gun, tactical, skeet, trap and sporting clays ranges. I have been a member here and not one time has anyone ever looked over my shoulder or asked me to leave because it was getting close to dark. read more

Hands down the best range Ive been to in years. I instantly purchased a year long membership as I know I will go weekly. The sporting clays are amazing. The set up is best in the area. I will be using the rifle range as well as the tactical bays soon. I wish I would have caught the gentleman's name who assisted my friend and I. Beyond knowledgeable and very kind. Had the worst experience with Lil guy named Thomas. He was really pervy, and inappropriate to me. He would wait until my friends would be looking around and start saying really inappropriate things to me. When I asked to speak with the manager he said he was the manager. When I ask him to stop being inappropriate he told me he was going to pray for me. Ladies watch out for this little meek quite man! Needless to say my friends and I left. Creepy! Very friendly folks and great facility (even close portapottys) I'm not a member but have come as a guests a couple times. Beautiful views, large amount of tactical bays and pistol and rifle range spots. One of the best things is every time I have been there, the range officer drove up to chat. He was a seasoned old timer but wasn't a range Nazi breathing down our necks or offering unsolicited advice. Just a cool dude making sure that we were safe and having fun and moved on. I'm sure many of you guys can appreciate this compared to to other ranges around Austin. Over all their memberships are a little out of my price range but coming as a guest is acceptable. They seem to offer lots of things for members to participate in so maybe it's worth the membership rates but for me right now it's not something I can do. Over all I always have a good time with my buddies here and everyone I have met that works here have been down to earth good folks and not members of seal team ninja telling you you suck all the time. read more

Eh. It's a little more than overrated, especially, for the price -- and the service. But, at the same time, there are also not too many other options in the area, so it's understandable to see so many glowing options. The 5 Stand Range is nice coupled with great views. The Trap Range is moderate; however, the wobble trap did not work 100% of the time AND it ran out of clays shortly into our session. The American Skeet range was the worst, though, which made me wonder how often it's calibrated. We were going to the 100 yard rifle range to double-check our deer rifles, as well, but it was crowded. And, frankly, I'm not a joiner to the latest wave of competition shooters: I just like to take my time ... shoot from a precision perspective ... enjoy time to myself ... You know, relax. These folks, bless their hearts, are a little too intense for me. ;) The sales counter / office was, however, the biggest disappointment for us: They're pretty condescending to anyone that does not arrive in tac gear; open carries; etc. Oh, well. To each his own, right? Numbers don't lie, and this place is frequently packed for whatever reason. read more

I'm retired military and moved to the area and couple years ago. Joined the shooting club this past Fall and have used their rifle and pistol ranges principally. Traveling around with the military....I've tried many ranges public, private, and a few on military bases. Copperhead Creek is truly the best I've seen relative to quality of ranges, clubhouse, safety, staff professionalism and attitude, and overall setup. Visited this range and staff friendly & helpful. Skeet, trap, 5 stand, & sporting clays set up very nice. Lead shot is allowed so I can use my vintage shotguns. I also like the tactical bays. Very nice facility! Just take your truck it is in the middle of an off road park so no paved roads read more
