Let me preface by saying I never write bad reviews. But for safety reasons I had to write this one, and if you don't have time to read it all let me just start by saying please just go literally anywhere else for your child's safety. So first of all, there are 4 larger water slides. And probably 3 or so smaller ones. They have a total of 2 lifeguards on watch. One lifeguard sits at a chair "watching over" the smaller, right side of the park. And the other one switching between the top of the larger water slides every so often depending on which is busier. There are multiple lifeguards but only 2 out on the park floor at a time, all very young teenagers. Not a single adult working there. I think that is a huge problem in itself but let me go on. I watched my 4 yr old like a hawk the whole time we were there because the lifeguards obviously weren't paying attention, lots of older kids running around, etc. I watch my son go down the larger slide. I'm waiting at the bottom for him for 5 minutes. Still hasn't came out. I go to the top to look down the slide where there should've been a lifeguard but no one to be found. I go to the lifeguard sitting in the chair at the front and tell him that my 4 yr old went down and has not came out yet and I think he's stuck in the slide. He ARGUES WITH ME and says "no I've been watching and there's no one in the slide" UMMMM WHAT?!! Obviously realizing they could care less about my child or any children there, and I don't have time to argue because I'm worried about my 4 yr old, I rush back to the top of the slide and go down it and what do u know, my son was stuck in the middle of the pitch black loop of the slide, terrified and crying. This is totally unacceptable, I don't even have words. Hopefully that's enough to let you know this is not the place to go but if not, let me move on to my next complaint. There was a group of older kids constantly trying to climb up the larger water slides in the back that no one can see unless you walk back there. Which in the 3 hours I was there not one lifeguard walked back there or even glanced to check on anything. The first time I notified the lifeguard about the kids going up the slide, she went back there and told them that's not allowed. Then they kept doing it and multiple other parents complained as well. The second time I complained that they were still doing it and almost seriously injured my 4 yr old, the lifeguard said "oh I know I already told them to stop". Ummmm okay??? So you're just going to keep letting them do it putting all the other kids at danger?? At MINIMUM their parent should've been notified but in my opinion they should've been asked to leave after the 3rd complaint/telling them to stop. Honestly I could go on and on but I don't have all day. I truly just hope they increase the amount of lifeguards and hire experienced lifeguards that actually care about children's safety and at minimum have one adult employee on-site. read more

Invited for a birthday party. Parking was easy. Inside the lobby was designated for check in for party or just check in. We were given wrist bands and I had to ask where to go. We had a dedicated area with two picnic tables. Lots of kids there that day. Lots of chloramines in the air. My biggest complaint. Chloramines are chlorine that has bonded with organic matter and chloramine gas is released. It does not indicate cleanliness. That cannot be judged by smell but smell does indicate no free chlorine is available to sanitize. The odor was intense. It burned your eyes. It stayed on your clothes and hair afterward. The entire drive back home to DFW I was smelling chloramine and I never got wet. Anyway. Everyone seemed to be having a good time. Birthday boy loved it. His friends loved it. We didn't get in the water. We were being checked on frequently by staff. The water wasn't deep anywhere that I saw. You could see the kids easily. Slides and lots of typical splash pad things. It was a nice little place. The only complaint was the strong smell. We didn't buy food there so I can't speak to that. Overall it was a nice indoor splash park so despite the intense smell, I'm giving 3 stars. read more

We had our son's bday party here. He's 5. It's larger than I expected and handles large quantities of kids well. They keep it about 85 degree or so which is pretty nice. There are quite a few slides and other water activities. I think the max age I would recommend for a party is probably 8. The attractions are geared for the younger kids. Staff is moderately friendly and they don't want outside food or drinks. For parties you are limited to cake and water. If you bring your own they charge you an extra fee. Younger kids really love it. As a parent, be prepared to sit for a long time on fairly semi-uncomfortable chairs. Oh, and after about 60 minutes the chlorine smell will get to your eyes and nose. read more

A great place to escape from the Texas heat with some indoor water fun! True to its name, there's a lot of water splashing from huge buckets throughout the play area. Plenty of small and big slides (open and with tunnels) for kids of all ages. I would say that the splashing may be too overwhelming for kids less than 3 year old or may take some time for kids to get adjusted to. There was too much chlorine in the water that made our eyes burn, so may not go back here just for this reason. read more

We had a great time taking my little godson here to enjoy some indoor water fun. On a weekend getaway in Cedar Park, we decided on a little get together for the kiddos. Splash Shack is great for those looking to geth wet and not have to worry about the vicious rays of the sun or the chill of spring fed water. The kiddos can find about an hour or two or more of splish splash diversion in the 30 foot interactive water play structure. Plenty of fountains, about 5 slides, and a huge water bucket will keep your young kids entertained for a wet minute. There were folks who had birthday parties going on. You are not allowed to bring outside food, but the location will cater pizza and soft drinks for you. There was plenty of parking inside, and plenty of resin Adirondack framed deck chairs to lounge in in the meantime. You can little people watch from the chairs amd sip on a cool soft drink in a balmy 82-degrees (to keep even the wet warm). Beware that if you do stay for awhile, your eyes will get itchy - even if you don't get wet - from what I think is the chlorine in the water. It won't bother most, but just be aware. Great place! Clean, fun, lots to do for the littles. The only thing I wish that we could change would be bringing in our own food, but they did have an extensive snack shack and even a pizza option for good prices. It's smaller than I expected and you can see your child basically on the entire structure. The smell of chlorine is strong and it's supposedly 84 degrees but feels a bit chilly if you didn't bring a towel. It's very loud. No outside food and snacks are reasonably priced but I wish they had a few more healthier options. Lots of cookies and ice cream. The drink fridge is well stocked with many choices. It's an excellent place to come during non peak time during the school day! $24.99 + tax for one child and an adult. Plenty of seating if you come on a weekday. There was a few times where there was no spotter for the larger slides which can be dangerous since they're covered. I think the structure could use one more "lifeguard". Not what it used to be. At all. A couple weeks back came across something online. Pretty sure it was on Google maps one of the AI suggested tips said that after 4 PM it was half price. Not a big deal. We got there and they wouldn't honor it. Ok, they've definitely done it before for us because I remember. Both of the employee stories didn't match up, okay - no big deal. Our kids wanted to play - we still paid. First irritating thing. Next? The lifeguards are selective (and not really paying attention to your kids so BE AWARE, THERE ARE TONS OF PLACES THEY CAN STILL DROWN HERE!!!!!! ) with who they want to yell at, also they don't really know what they're yelling at for because telling my child's father that he couldn't go down the small slide, even though it did not say no adults on that particular slide and our son is small/was scared to go without his Dad waiting first at the bottom. I guess because he was on the heavyset side of things she was trying to suggest he was too heavy when in fact, he was not, and there were bigger people going down it. So yeah the teenager "life guards" will body shame you. Watch out. Lastly.... The place has BLACK MOLD absolutely everywhere... as well as green mold/algae growing on steps, TONS of anti slip treads ripped off causing kids to slip (not to mention all the broken pieces of equipment), get hurt....even though they're in a rush to push customers out right at 6 o'clock sharp, if not before if they get the chance. Because they half ssa squeegee the floors so make sure you don't leave your shoes on the floor otherwise they'll end up in a puddle of water where they push all of it around from trying to hurry up and leave instead of doing their job properly and waiting for everyone to leave before they start cleaning/closing. It's a shame that the owners have let this place go downhill so much considering how much they still charge and the water was definitely not 82°! We saw one little boy with his lips blue and shivering. Save your money go elsewhere, this place is not what it's cracked out to be. Oh, and then charging like $20-$25 for an eight dollar pizza from Domino's is pretty diabolical too. read more

The set up is great, but the chlorine is so strong and the ventilation is bad my eyes started burning and I wasn't in the water. My husband got a headache as well due to the intensity. We were only there for an hour for a two hour party because my face felt like it has been sunburned and my eyes were on fire. Others left early too. Small shack but big enough for everyone. Very affordable. Especially parents don't have to pay. We went early morning and it wasn't busy . Overall the kids will have a blast and the water. There are quite a lot of seating available to just relax. But strollers, carts are not allowed. We got a Groupon for Splash Shack and the price was too good to pass up. When we got there I did see that it's normally $19.99 for each kid and $4.99 for adults. This was so much fun! For some reason there weren't a lot of people there so we really got to explore the whole water park. Their snack bar is limited in options but fairly priced. Bathrooms were really clean and I didn't experience any issues during our visit. One of my favorite things was that I could see both of my girls from the seating area- when you have multiples going to huge water parks can be a little chaotic- this was easy peasy! My daughters especially enjoyed the little kids play area and even I got to get on some slides! (Personal favorite was the yellow slide, don't pass that one up!) The lifeguards are very young but they were all polite. My youngest started crying after going on a slide and a lifeguard came over to offer an ice pack right away. My daughter had her twins 6 yr old birthday party at this place - now don't get me wrong - it is a nice quaint place for toddlers and younger kids, but as soon as you enter you get that blast of Chlorine (if that is what they put in the water system) it was so overwhelming that my eyes, nose and throat was burning each time I inhaled and others were complaining. I have been to places like this all over the world and certainly never smelt it like that. I asked the person that was at our table why is it that loud of a smell - he replied that "you know it's clean" I was startled. Another incident - my son, the twins cousin was walking around and one of the "lifeguards" kept looking at him and gesturing with her hands as if to tell him to move away- of course I asked another employee - what was the reason for her gestures towards him- she then replied she did not know. Another incident - we paid for "honest" juice which is 100% juice and when we looked on the table there was kool aid in purple packs - this is not 100% juice and we never give our kids this - when asked why we got kool aid and everyone else got "honest" he squinted his eyes, shrugged his shoulder and never actually responded! Took my Baby Cakes here for our "Mommy-Daughter Date" before she heads to New Orleans for the summer and she had a blast. The staff was really nice (she tries to make a new best friend with all the teens) The only thing that I can say that wasn't pleasant was the amount of bleach in that place! KIDS HAD A BLAST! We got a Groupon for our day of fun right before spring break started. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and asked if we had a Groupon. They made the process fast and efficient. The sweet attendant at the front went over the rules for the kids and we were on our way. When we walked in, we were greeted with some warm humid air, which was nice since it was 30 degrees outside. When they say it's kept at 82 degrees, they mean it. There were plenty of Adirondack chairs available to sit at and place our bags. There were also some empty tables on the other side as well. We were able to sit right in front and watch all of our kids. Only one way out of the building, so it was relaxing to sit back and know everyone was safe and having a good time. They have a GREAT deal with the local dominos. $25 for a large pizza, 4 drinks and 4 snacks. We ordered two of these deals and the pizza was delivered in 20 mins. We stayed for 3-4 hours and the kids (ages 2, 4, 6, and 15) had so much fun! The only downside is the smell of chlorine making me a little lightheaded towards the end but I understand they have to keep the water clean, so it was worth it. We will definitely be back! Friendly staff, plenty of private bathrooms and changing rooms. Such a great experience! read more

CHLORINE OVERKILL, the chlorine is so strong it burns your eyes even whenever you are outside of the water. My 5 year old enjoyed herself, I'm not too happy about a 12 month old ( non walker) being charged $22, whenever there's no designated area for them to play/ or sit because you can't bring a stroller or wagon inside. I tried to talk to management about pricing for smaller kids but it was very apparent my concerns didn't matter. One employee said 12 months and younger is free, the next said 12months and older is $22. Make it make sense! Either way you are charging for a 1 year old that is sleeping. Maybe I'll take my kids back when they are both old enough to play. Maybe not meh. Me personally, $22 is ridiculous for someone that is just napping at the facility. The pizza is from Dominoes and overpriced. They did have a decent snack bar and stage prices weren't too bad. UPDATE: Chlorine is so bad it's causing extreme eye irritation, congestion, and sneezing. This hidden gem in Cedar Park was the perfect end of summer escape for our kids. My 7 and 5 year olds had a blast. The whole park is indoors and heated year round. All the slides are built for kiddos to ride themselves so they had a ton of freedom and independence. There are showers and changing rooms for after. Snacks are very affordable and you can even have pizza delivered for parties or just a family meal! I also appreciated all the lifeguards around. We love this place for our 2 year old. We've gone all summer with no issue. She wears water shoes because she slipped when she didn't have them one. There's a lot of steps without grip that become slippery. They provide wristbands for height so they know which kids can go on the larger slides. The last time we visited the lifeguards told me that my toddler couldn't wear shoes down the slides. Even the small slides. It's impossible for me to tell my two year old this so it created an issue. When I spoke to the manager she said it was fine, on the smaller slides. They should have known by size (and wristband color) she couldn't go down larger slides. If the shoe thing is a new rule I wouldn't recommend it for littles. It's way too slippery without them adding more grippers. read more

Ventilation was poor so you can definitely feel the chlorine in your lungs and eyes--- maybe if they add a ventilated observation area for parents to sit, it'd make it awesome! They had no storage for stuff- maybe add a locker area? Food and drinks are not allowed to be brought in and their prices were super expensive! This new place has potential but just not the best for a couple of reasons: 1. They make kids lay down on all slides and for younger and shorter kids that is scary since the bottom of slide is a pool. My son went down at first sitting and was still freaked out by the amount of water at the end of the slide. Then they wanted him to lay down and he changed his mind about going down. 2. There isn't much for smaller kids. The slide my 3yo was interested in was closed probably because there isn't enough room for the kids to stop. So they probably flew off at the end. So hopefully they make safe adjustments to that slide. 3. The other slides for younger kids are like regular slides so once they go down they get scraped at the end where the slide meets the non-skid flooring. 4. The longer/higher slides need more water. All the adults I saw get on them got stuck. 5. And you can't ride with your kids on any of the slides to get the younger kids comfortable with them. My kids said Great wolf Lodge was cooler and those slides were scarier but they had low water at ends and had some slides that were open and not completely closed off and pitch dark. Which is probably due to the fact that most slides opened into water area. Since this place isn't huge, there are limitations and where the water can reach. I gave three stars because the staff was sweet, the place was clean and the concept is cool. But we didn't spend more than 45 minutes there because our 5yo was ready to go. Whereas at Great wolf Lodge we couldn't get kids to leave after 3 hours. And that wasn't because of the pools there. All they did at Great wolf were the slides. Looking forward to any adjustments they make and hope to be back soon. read more
