Place is next to a river and right next to a dollar store so I bought the kids something's to entertain them. Many flavors of beers. The flight came in a holder in the shape of Tennessee. We went on a Sunday so it was a bit quiet but the staff was nice and knowledgeable. They have little snacks and a cream soda icee for kids that was really good. read more

Nice little brewery downtown. They do not serve food, but you can bring food inside. The state line divides this restaurant and uniquely they have tape running through the restaurant, indicating the Georgia/Tennessee border. This was my first visit, so I tried a flight of their beer. Service was prompt from the bartender. I like the glasses that the beer was served in. Overall, I'd give their beer an average to above average on flavor. What a great little spot to drop the men folk while the women went hiking! LOL When we rejoined them after a great hike in the Cherokee National Forest we had the porter, the IPA and a brown beer all were very well balanced and tasty! The state line runs right through the bar so you can drink in Tennessee and Georgia at the same time just by sliding your barstool over a few feet! Enjoyable small town! A hidden gem! It was a nice place in the center of the city. Staff and crowd were very friendly and beer was decent enough. That said, it is $9 plus 10% tax a pint. So you are looking at $23 with tip for two beers. Pretty rich for the middle of nowhere? Only game in town? Sure, but at $9 a pint it starts to border on arrogance. The food truck food was of good quality, but took an hour to come out, without from what we could see any other orders also being processed. We had the burger, chicken quesadilla, and the Brat. All $9 each. They were all good enough, even if the wait was excessive. Don't know if I'd make much of an effort to come back, though I likely wouldn't protest visiting again. You know the feeling when you're looking for something and come across something else equally amazing, well that's what happened when I came across The Copperhill Brewery. It's a brewery located in Copperhill Tennessee that has part of it in Tennessee and the other in McCaysville, Ga. From the outside there's a blue line you can straddle and have one foot in Tennessee and the other in Georgia. That same line continues straight through the brewery. The brewery has a full bar, ample toilets and a gaming area. There's plenty of seating and room to move around. When you visit the brewery, checkout the red and orange line on the floor, it hilarious. All I'm saying is you know where you can find me at the next 2023 Georgia/Tennessee game. Whoohoo! read more

That's right, you enter the brewery in Tennessee but after walking in a little you will notice a blue line on the floor. The blue line designates the GA/TN state line. I think the only time I leave a review I when I find a place that seems like a hidden treasure. We live on the other side of the mountain from Copperhill, and wanted to try something different in our area. We were all certainly pleased with this venue. The seating was a little odd, with our two tables pushed together, that were on castors & wanted to move every time someone got up. We were also in a tight spot close to the bathroom, so it felt like we were blocking it at times. There is an upstairs area, but it wasn't clear it was open to the public at first. Then a group came in that made themselves at home in the upstairs area. It appeared they were playing shuffleboard & a large Jenga game. Kids were also in the mix. Nice family friendly spot. They "close" at 8, but we were told when there is a band playing they will stay open till 9. The band was a nice addition to the night, as it wasn't expected. I checked the calendar of events, but nothing was listed for Saturday. The Ducktown Ocoee Food Truck was prompt, and delicious with options for the whole family, even on a limited menu. We were all supremely satisfied with our dishes. Which included, chicken fajita quesadillas, cheeseburgers, and bratwurst. The selection on tap was also impressive, as one would expect from a brewery. I can't say the prices were terrible, but it wasn't listed from what I recall. You gotta know your beer to decipher the beer menu. Our group was split, half knew what they wanted, the other half had no idea, and were happy when they winged it. I had asked if they have ciders, which unfortunately fall under wine, but they did offer a spin on seltzer. I guess the draft was Boogie Water brand, and they added sugar free syrups to it. I had 2, and could definitely feel the alcohol. The people working, as well as the crowd were all friendly folks. We will likely return! read more

We've been going to the brewery for some time and have always enjoyed the food so we were disappointed when we went back and learned that they had changed the food provider. There were several of us and we all ordered something different. Two people ordered a sandwich. The food truck was out of lettuce and out of hoagie rolls and this was at 6 o'clock! The sandwiches came on white bread, not toasted or anything and the fried baloney sandwich had 1 thin slice of baloney. The other sandwich was no better. We got no napkins or utensils even though we asked for them. For the price of the food we expected more. The two young guys were very nice but it seemed that they were not very experienced. The best thing on the menu were the hand made chips, just ask them to go easy on the salt. We hope things improve over time. read more

The owner's reply made me review my photos to see what I got wrong. Turns out, they are correct, I wasnt there in July, rather September. I know we go up there Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. I wrote I was there in July, when it was actually September. That is my fault and I apologise. Still, the beers were not true to style, according to my BJCP training from AHA. The off-flavors of metal were concerning. It's one of the few times I've ever left a half a pint on the table at a brewery. I have also posted my photo from the visit in case someone seriously believes I didn't actually visit. That said, I look forward to trying them again this summer and seeing how things have progressed. It's a beautiful space in an adorable town. I will be sure to update my review accordingly. read more

We *loved* this brewery! We took a very short drive from Blue Ridge, GA, to find this brewery smack dab in the cut in Copperhill, TN. The tasting room is large and new, very clean with a long bar and a chalkboard listing what's on tap. Between me and my husband we had the Rozanne, Scorched Earth, State Line, Lucius, Rusty Harp, Triple O's, and the McCayhill Session IPA. I may have forgotten one or two in that list. I really enjoyed all of them, especially Lucius - a very flavorful lager, with a nice deep color. The key word for the beers at Copperhill: FLAVOR. FLAVOR. FLAVOR. We had a great talk with on of the owners, and went very in depth about each of the beers we tried when talking with Harrison. He sincerely wanted to know what we thought of each beer and took our input seriously, even if we didn't love a particular brew. We even considered driving over the state line again the next day to get a growler of Lucius to bring home, but couldn't fit the trip into our schedule. We intend to return to this brewery as much as we can. It's a gem in Copperhill,100% worth the drive from Blue Ridge, and we think that our next vacation will be there, so that we can see even more of what the town has to offer. read more

Copperhill Brewing is producing some of the best beer in the area right now and just keeps getting better! I'm partial to IPA's and they've really stepped up their game with that lately! I think that they had 4 different ones on tap the last time that I was there! I especially loved their new Phoenix Double IPA and their Bestial IPA! In addition to IPA's, they have a full range of other style brews. They also make a particularly good porter and very tasty Imperial Stout. Both Alan & Harrison(the owner) are friendly, very passionate about their beers, and love to talk about them! I do wish that they'd open up the front of their building to the outside street somehow. Don't get me wrong, the place is worth the visit just for the beer & the inside is very nice. However, on these nice spring afternoons it would sure be nice to enjoy their great beer with some fresh outside air. Maybe have some garage doors that roll up and some high top seating facing the street? I think that if they did that, people would stay longer and would also encourage more people to come in from the street. REGARDLESS, if you are a beer connoisseur and in the area, this is a MUST VISIT Brewery! read more

Beautiful interior! Stopped in cause it was the only open place after we'd finished dinner. Very cool set up. Lots of games and area for friends to gather. The owner was there. So polite and interesting! He showed us that the state line ran right through the venue and the sign and line outside that stated so. He even took a photo of us. Great location, great interior, great service, and great beer equals five stars! We stopped in here on MLK day and had a terrific time. We spent a lot of time speaking with one of the owners, Pam, and learned all about the history of Copperhill Brewery and the owners' passion for beer and the local area. There's plenty of room at the spacious bars and they are working on expanding their beer selection from the 8 beers they have on tap today to fill up the 19 available taps. This is a really gorgeous tap room with lots of woodwork and large windows that provide great natural lighting. There's even window seating where you can sit and enjoy the people watching along the main street that runs through town. If you're in the area you should definitely stop in, say hello, and enjoy a tasty beverage with the fine folks who run this establishment. read more

This brewery feels like a coffee shop. But, it has darts and a foosball table. And, there are also board games to play and tvs with the football games on the wall. The beer is really good too. They had a bourbon barrell aged beer that is as good as anything I have drank. If this place were in Atlanta, I'd go there all the time. read more
