GO TO COPY CATS West Salem!!! I will now only be going here after my first experience. I didn't have a typical experience, I went there desperate and not knowing what I was going to get or what to expect. I'm a transplant from SOCAL and usually do all my printing through Walgreens or Costco because we've had great experiences there. I had just gone to Walgreens to pick up a photo of my brother in law for his celebration of life and the quality was TERRIBLE! There were creases everywhere, the ink bled, and they enlarged it without asking, cutting off his head. I went to copycats in disbelief of the experience I had just had at Walgreens. I met the owner of copycats and she was so nice! She went out of her way to make the moment right! She explained why it might've bled, and why it was extremely fuzzy/pixelated, she reprinted it there at copycats and it looked a Thousand Times Better! I cried out of happiness and from her kindness. I've really tried to like this place because it is convenient to where I am located. But every time I come in I stand at the counter for so long. NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGES ME! I have to ask for help after 5 minutes of being ignored. And then they act like they're being put out. Today I stood for over 10 minutes and received no help. Even if no one else is there the employees just sit at their desks and ignore everyone who comes in. It's really frustrating. I feel like it's rule number one in any business. Customer Service. I can't say enough good things about this company! They have done business fliers for me, business cards, custom signs, custom engraved gifts (metal cups, cutting boards etc). Copy Cats is, hands down, the best place in the area for digital printing projects! Being a graphic designer and having worked in a print shop for years myself, I am very picky about how things are printed and the quality of the work. I have had to order several last minute rush jobs from Copy Cats and they have always delivered. Not only are they willing to work hard to get your project done in time, but the quality of the work is unmatched, AND the price is fair! DO NOT go to Fedex Kinkos, UPS, or any other mass corporation to get your projects printed. You will pay significantly more for an inferior product. Not to mention, Bruce, the owner/manager (?) is the kindest guy you'll ever meet. He will work hard and go the extra mile to make sure your project is perfect. My experience at copy cats was terrible to say the best about them. At the west Salem location I needed some assistance and a Julie The manager is just super impolite and rude. Not a proper greeting or warm welcome. Gave me less than mediocre service and even over heard some workers saying how mean Julie is to staff. Tried doing services one more time to give the benefit of the doubt and went to independence instead. A man named Ken assuming manager PROMISED me something would get done guaranteeing he could meet my time frame and needs and failed to do so. Didn't call or follow up or even an apology for missing something so important. Ken proceeds to get short and angry with the staff instead of owning the situation and apologizing. I don't know who is running this business but clearly the individual or individuals doing so have no competence of running a small business. Absolute joke of a company and whoever has done the hiring should be deeply ashamed of who they hired to represent their business. For those reading do not go here for any services for they won't get completed, terrible service from management and just a disaster of business ownership. Never again would I step foot there. I'll spend more money somewhere else. read more

Do not respond to emails or follow up on quotes. Second time I've attempted to get some pricing on large jobs with no response.

My wife went to West Salem store Monday October 21st. She wanted 3 photos enlarged in black and white. (Simple 3 photos made bigger). The Person helping was short and said it would take over one hour. When she returned the 3 copies were ready for $14+, she was rude and argumentative. My wife left and went to FEDEX on Commercial. They charge $.95 to print a black and white page. Better have cash too because if not, $.35 to use a card. Poor service, high prices. It's worth a short drive down the road to FedEx or UPS stores. read more

For the last 10 years, whenever I've needed a print job or project done, I've leaned on Copy Cats to complete it. The service was great, the project was done correctly and the price was the best around the area. I stopped in the other day and was really disappointed in the service and attitudes of the employees, one being a long time employee, I wish I could remember his name. A line was forming and there were multiple employees on computers. The one younger employee at the register asked for help a couple times and was brushed off. Because he was frustrated, this lead to him being a little brash to the people he was helping in line. When it became my turn I left my item to be completed and was told it wouldn't take long and I would be called. I stalled for over an hour in West Salem without a call and then returned home.The next day I still hadn't had a call so I called them. I was met with a response of "Oh, no one ever called you?". When I went to pickup my order, the long time gentleman employee was once again, having an attitude issue and this time to me. He accused me of placing my order under another name because he couldn't find it... I insisted I gave my "real" name and low and behold, he found it. Seriously not that big of deal because the project was done correctly, but I'm a huge customer service person and 2 days in a row of attitude from this guy was kind of ridiculousness. I'm a little embarrassed I referred people to print their Christmas Cards here, who knows what service they received. read more

I went to pick up my project the day after they said it would be ready, the guy working the counter couldn't find it and once he did, it hadn't even been started! He was talking to someone who I assume was the owner about it and nobody seemed the slightest concern that they completely ruined the event I had for the day. read more

I've gone to Copy Cats several times only because it is in my neighborhood. When I walked in, I've been met by unfriendly staff whose faces indicate I am imposing on their lives. When sending a package, the attitude is so terrible, again, as if I am a bother. When I phoned today to get a price on their copying, the person answered the phone with a grunt, no business name, no person's name, and I do not want to do business with them.
