This place is the best. Its worth the drive here and is the only place i go to for copies. I am a collage artist and need top quality prints to work with. wouldn't go anywhere else. Horrible service, Terrible attitude by the one employee there 5pm Monday. Angry, combative and dismissive. I've used them in the past with satisfactory results, if this woman is there I would turn around and drive to Berkeley. Awful place. Absentee owners, just downright terrible. read more

BUYER BEWARE. Different people working there charge different rates. I called to check on prices and was told 10 cents per page. Went there and got great service. Went back two days later and was charged 12 cents per page for the same type of job. I suggest calling before you go to lock in an acceptable price. read more

This review is based on my experience with Richard, the store manager. I needed a logo done and knew exactly what I wanted, but didn't know how to put it together myself. Richard let me sit with him while he designed it, and that way I could make comments, ask him to try out different looks, and ask questions about what could be done on the computer. It took less than an hour to do the work, the price was reasonable, and it all got done the same day! Richard was knowledgeable, friendly and so helpful! His letting me be there while he did the work made it so much more efficient and easy, and the result is a beautiful logo that I'm proud to show people! read more

had an old flash drive with a few fun things waiting to be printed out - Copy Central guy was very helpful in paper options and waiting for my to choose which one(s) I'd prefer for each print project. not the biggest selection of paper types but there have enough options to get the job done. wanted a big poster sized print but wasn't able to make that happen - ended up piecing a couple sheets together to get by. had a good time here, nostalgic even. felt like I was in the 90's in a good way. will return for future prints. read more

Richard - thank you!!! I was in the middle of a minor panic attack because Kinko's said they couldn't do my lamination job. I called Richard (manager?) freaking out and he immediately and quickly jumped in for the win. He even went as far as calling their other local store to secure the laminating stuff and promised to have it done for me asap. I would have absolutely completed the order but Kinko's ended up calling me back saying they could actually do the order. This place is over priced!!! I just came in to print out an email so I can sign and just to print from email was $3 normally there is no charge if you email it directly to them. I usually come here because it's convenient but never again!!! I was also there for almost 30 min for something so simple and the guy that works there told me to wait while he helps someone who just walked into in!! I walked out and left! It's Friday and about 15 minutes before closing time. I had a very last minute need for a one-page scanning job. There was one employee behind the counter handling a copy job, another paying customer, someone finishing on the internet and a consultation for a print job while another even last minute print job was coming in by phone. This employee... I didn't ask his name but I'd seen him before, a young red-haired lad,... he was mega-multitasking. To this young man alone I give 5-stars for his professionalism and customer service. I minus the one star for the managers who seem to always only have one staff person at the store at a time. Very unfair to ask one person to manage all this alone. This one did manage and like I said, did an incredible job, but I say you do put the store at risk for less-then-stellar service. I hope managers are reading. If so, please consider staffing the shop better, especially at the busiest times, and please give that guy a bonus or better yet, a raise! read more

Very convenient!!! I had to get the prints of my pics, they are really helpful but one thing I did not like they didn't help me for the cut outs of the pics infact they charge a lot if u want help in cutting. They have cutter over there if u have experience, it's awesome for u. read more

Arrived at AGU conference in New Orleans with last minute changes for my poster presentation. Copy Central staff on site helped with logistics and last minute printing, and produced a fantastic looking poster on high quality cloth, which helped me get my science going. With all the racketing of tens of presentors around, Ivy found time to quietly and efficiently help me complete my poster and print it. Slow service and then they charge you for using the internet for a quick second to retrieve the files you want printed, which was not pointed out by the staff as i was guided to the computers. I have used plenty of copy shops where there is no additional charge. I doubt this would negatively impact the business, but rather leave you with a satisfied customer. I went to Copy Central at El Cerrito last Saturday. Danny is the only staff on Saturday. It was a very busy afternoon. Danny is extremely helpful. He greeted every customers warmly and offer help and his service. Since I have to make a binder for around 300 pages for three copies, Danny helped me to find the best price and way to do my project. He copied everything in black and white first, then go manually to help me to copy pages with colours. In this way, I saved money for no printing everything in colour. Off course, it will take much longer time. I do appreciate Danny's help so much, and he is efficient, multi tasking, and can deal with several customers at the same time. I highly recommended this branch at El Cerrito plaza! read more

I had been patronizing this store for about two years. On Sat., Dec. 1, 2012, I walked into the store 10 minutes before 5pm to begin a quick print-out project and took a seat at a work station. The door to the store was unlocked and open and the "Open" sign on the window was lit. I was one of about three other customers inside. At 5pm sharp, just as my project was nearly ready to print, the clerk rushed up to me, as if in a panic, and brusquely informed me that the store was closed and that I would have to leave immediately. When I told him my project was just about ready to print he told me to leave and yanked my thumb drive out of the USB port without closing the file and ejecting the drive. I told him that treating customers this way is bad for business but he wasn't listening and locked the door behind me. If he had to wrap up so punctually at 5pm he should not have admitted any customers close to 5pm and should have locked the door and turned off his "Open" sign a little early. This is common sense. I was treated with extreme and totally unnecessary rudeness and will never again patronize Copy Central, in El Cerrito or anyplace else. read more

Staff was really nice and helpfully answered questions about their printing process. They had three computers with all the programs you would need to print from (word, Adobe reader, ppt, excel...) I brought a flash drive with my printing materials, but it looks like their pcs were connected to the Internet. 60 pages front and back came out to about $9. The whole process took less than 3 minutes. read more
