I had to go this morning for a passport photo,I open the door to wonderful smile from a nice young man behind the counter that was good start for me. I got my photo done and then I was off to the post office when a very lovely lady who work there mentione they could ship it for me. Saving me the drive to PO and it hard to go someplace eles when you are getting great service. So I stayed and got great service. With a warm thank you and lovely good buy. This will be my go to UPS should I stay in this area really nice people. I love good morning and thank you when doing business if you do this with a smile and not speaking in a loud tone I'm sold will return for sure. And both people did just that. I needed a document notarized and overnited to a title company in Washington. I found the closest UPS store in the Richmond Marina area and called. Voice mail. You know it's not going to get answered when they ask you to leave the date and time you called. Surprise, they never called me back. Instead, I headed over to see them in person. No notary there and they were not sure when she would be there. Great. From the parking lot, I called the UPS store off San Pablo. They answered and were ready to help. In about 10 minutes, I pulled up in front. Fantastic service. Very fun to talk to and would do business with them again in a heartbeat. read more

The first time I came in, I didn't realize I actually had a FedEx return. Monica still helped me figure out what to do, told me where to go, and even taped up my box for me. I've been here five times since then, and they've always done a bang up job. Recently, I had a package that I needed to ship urgently. I came in right before closing, and the staff were still happy to help me. They packed and shipped my package, gave me a discount, and had me out the door within 10 minutes. I had to ground-ship a box weighing 30 lbs to my daughter on the east coast. I did a quick check online and found UPS was cheaper than USPS in this case. This is the first time I've been to this UPS store and decided to give them a try since they've gotten good reviews for service. The employee (Bebeck) was very helpful as I've never shipped anything x-country before aside from Amazon and Zappos returns. He was very efficient and pleasant to deal with. I never thought I would be writing a review for a UPS store but this location deserves all the accolades it can get. The family that runs this store is so efficient and friendly. The store is never too crowded, very organized, and extremely clean. The service is top notch and so quick, even if there are customers before you. I honestly have not gone back to the other UPS locations since finding this hidden gem. They are located right across San Pablo from Safeway, which for some reason is easy to miss, but is so conveniently located to everything. Try them out! Thank you to Rajan and Monica for their super-friendly and thoughtful consideration in helping me pack and ship several large items (surfboards, a bicycle, other household goods) to Hawaii. They came up with inventive packing solutions in order for me to save money and patiently waited for me to return twice in order to fill one of my boxes to make it even more cost-efficient. There's definitely a reason why this UPS Store has five stars while others in the area barely average three. The trustworthy service here is reason alone to make this my go-to shipping place and I'll be happy to return to Rajan and Monica in the future. End to end had a great experience here. This will be my go to store moving forward. I especially like that they're open 7 days a week. As mentioned in other reviews, parking was very easy as there are always spots available right out in front of the store. The folks at the front desk are both knowledgeable and very friendly. I came in for passport photos and a notary. The notary was super quick and I really appreciated that the gentleman who took my passport photos didn't rush me and let me know that my shirt collar was out of place before taking the shot. They seem to take extra steps to make sure customers know they care. I really like this place. I'll come here again. read more

They saved a quarter, but lost a customer. I had to return a package to Amazon and this was the closest UPS location. In the past you could just bring the item unpackaged and UPS would send it back, but Amazon changed the process so now you have to package it yourself. I put it back in its original box but left it open in case they needed to scan the item inside. I figured it's UPS, they have tape, right? Wrong. The woman at the counter wouldn't accept it because the box was open, wouldn't tape it shut, and wanted to sell me a roll of tape for $5. Granted it was a big box (a guitar gig bag) but really, how much would a 5 ft piece of tape cost them? I had to drive back home, get my tape gun and hike back over there to put one piece of tape on a box. When I tried to explain to her that just letting me use their tape would have been a good way to gain customer loyalty, she said it "wasn't allowed," "no other store would do that either," and "the box was too big." So instead of singing their praises, I'm wasting more time writing this negative review. On the plus side, this place usually has short lines. On the downside, no parking lot -- street parking only on busy San Pablo. read more
