Okay, after reading other reviews for this place AFTER I dropped off a project, I ran into the same "bait-n-switch" situation as other Yelpers. So I bitched them out and they completely and totally turned it around, honored the original price I had been quoted and made me happy. Here's the thing...these people are artists, thus not great with details, contracts, quotes, etc. I walked out of there with a verbal quote and what I should have required was a written one. People, that is what you MUST get from this place. If they are busy and you can't wait for it, then let them know you'll be following up and DO IT. Caveat Emptor! Ultimately, the quality of their work was outstanding. It's a locally owned business. It's a female owned business. I want to be their customer. Now I know, and hopefully a few others of you out there do too, that in order to have a successful business relationship with them you must do your part to keep yourself from getting screwed. Looked online and it was the closest print shop available. I'm on a budget and looked for the prices online which they DO NOT write down on their web page (sketchy!) but I thought- hey, how much could it be? Walked in to print ONE form out which consisted of ONE printed paper. Logged onto my e-mail to retrieve the document and had to be tossed back from one printer to another because the computer was having a hard time talking with one printer (which I understand, that's technology for you) but after 5 minutes of this I finally got the page printed out. I went up to the register and was promptly charged FOUR DOLLARS FOR ONE PAGE. Why? Because I'd used the internet for 30 seconds!!! The damn printers took longer then my internet use! No wonder they don't put the prices on their web page like all other normal print shops do, because they hope to find idiots like me that just walk in and print stuff off the internet so they can charge a crazy price! I was not expecting to pay any more then 50 cents at worst! I grabbed some of their free candy at the register and pouted as I coveted my 4 dollar paper and folded it safely into my bag, then chomped the candy and huffed off. I'm sure they have a lot of other great printing services but printing out single page documents is not one of them. read more

It all sounded so simple and easy. I gave a printing order of almost 200 dollars. Then I got called: it was not that easy, the file needed to be modified. 50 dollars more. I refused and asked for alternative. Was told I would get a call back from the boss. No call. I called, to be yelled at, and then she hung up on me. I went to the store, was handled like a customer again, as if the last phone call hadn't happened; at that point I thought all is good. I went back to pick up my order the next day, same time, as I was told. Nope, sorry, is not ready, come back tomorrow. What about a phone call to let me know instead of letting me come for nothing? uhhh nope. Went again, the next morning. Order was not what I asked for, and a third was missing. One thing is sure: Copy Net has lost a customer. Because they are not professional, and need to learn about customer service. read more

Copy Net is a little pricey, but I've always gotten solid customer service there. I've gone in with random projects - from needing to print iron-on sheets for t-shirts, to printing place cards for an event. The guy who works there helped make sure my iron-on sheets were oriented correctly, and stayed late to let me finish up my massive place cards printing job. It's not in-your-face friendly, but I've always felt well taken care of! It's certainly a nice change of pace from Kinkos, too. read more

$7.50 to scan an image? Complete rip off. I called before I went, asking if they could make a color copy onto a heat transfer paper and the employee said yes. I get there, they can't. But they can make a scan! I heard the girl say .75 cents for a scan, no biggie. I brought my own paper, so all I paid for was ink and a digital scan. Total? $28 for 3 pages. As a Academy Fashion student, I am going to firmly recommend not to go to this business. $7.50 for a scan, really? I could scan and print 20 pages for that much at Copy Central (way better place) or Chums (way way way better). Don't go there. read more

It is incredible expensive! I printed three paper with color today. It costed 95 dollars! And they weren't tell me any thing about the change before I know the price was that high. The owner said it was included service charge for 50 dollars in 20mins. Whatever, they should have told the fee. And then, all fees was not make any sense. Don't even bother getting there!! Worst experience ever with a copy place. At first, they priced the thing we wanted to do at $240 ... we said it was too much and started to walk out ... immediately the price was down to $185 and then $125... sounds fishy to you ??? It does to me, like you get robbed if you pay the "regular" price. Then, we started printing and the guy could not even figure out how to print our double-sided document (which we had printed without a problem on our home printer ... but when you need a lot of copies, you assume such a place will help) ... After a few minutes of ruining our own expensive quality paper, we asked them to stop and get their act together on their own regular paper before putting some more expensive paper sheets in ... they replied that 2 or 3 tries on your high quality paper is just normal!!! They did not bother trying with a regular paper. Bottom line, we left without the printouts but with the impression that a) they have no idea what they're doing and b) they over-charge if you pay regular prices. If I could give ZERO stars about Copy Net, I would. Never go to this place even if it is that last place to get things printed. It cost me $95 to have 12 tabloid size sheets printed on a laser jet printer. Plus they charge you for the test sheets! Plus the people who work there are complete tools. The guy who was "helping" me told me that I have the worst memory stick and told me that it would more than likely crash his computer, joking or not who says that to a customer? Then to work on their computers it is a minimum $18/ hour if you do yourself, but if you need them to do it, its $125/hour! Also the guy who was helping just up and left me to print out my stuff, when I had no idea what kind of printer system they have. Even as I was finishing paying for this ripoff, I asked for a copy of my receipt and the manager gave me attitude.If I were you, I would NEVER,EVER go to this place. Go to Eco Copy, Copy Central, or a few select Fed Ex Kinkos. You get the same product for a quarter of the price and much better customer service. Again, this place is horrendous go somewhere else!!!! P.S. The only reason I went to this place was because A) I usually go to Eco Copy or Copy Central, but Eco Copy's printers were down & B) It is a few blocks from where I live so I figured it would be cheap. My fiancé and I came to Copy Net for a quick 3-day turnaround on over 400 copies related to our wedding programs and a few other odd jobs. We received proofs/quotes from a few competitors and copy net was by far the most professional product. You'll pay a slight premium but it's 200% worth it for large jobs. They were extremely helpful and went so far as to assist in reformatting a few templates for us right on the spot! They clearly take pride in their work, glad we found them. read more

I needed to print 3 black and white pages when my printer ran out of ink - red, so it should have been able to print, but printers are annoying that way. Remembering walking by this place a bunch of times I put my file on a flashdrive and head down. The employee gives me a computer station, I print, but for some reason the printer next to me isn't working. Guy tells me to choose a different printer, so I do, and I collect my pages. So far so good. Then I go to pay. $2.95, he says in a cheery voice. $2.95 for 3 black and white copies?!?! Well, he says, you used the computer for 3 minutes but the minimum is 5, so I charged you for 5, and you used the special printer (for a regular 8 x 11.5 page mind you) so that's extra as well. I know this place is off Fillmore street and the prices are expected to be a little higher, but come on. Almost $3 for a few black and white pages? Thanks but no thanks. read more

This place is absolutely ridiculous! I used the computer for less than a minute to print four color copies and it cost me $12.50- excuse me!!!! Biggest rip off ever. The staff here is amazing! We came in 20 minutes before they were closing trying to print envelopes for our wedding invitations. We had been to three other print stores that were unable or unwilling to let us print on our own envelopes. I had some custom stationery made here last year. They made a mistake the first time, but re-did it right away with no hassle and no charge. It was a little more expensive than I would have gotten online, but it was very good quality and they spent a far amount of time helping me choose what I wanted. I came back in again recently to re-order, after an entire year, and the woman totally remembered me and knew what I'd gotten last year! Seriously amazing customer service. read more

I guess this place is for gullible old rich people that don't know they're being exploited. I thought Kinkos was a rip off. $1 per page to print black and white both sides! I was charged $50 to design a simple flyer that took them 20 minutes ,while she answered a couple personal emails. I used the internet for 5 minutes and was charged $9 !The other 10 minutes wasted was because their computer couldn't down load my file but i was charged anyway.No wifi so your forced to use their computers. The owner came is the staff almost seemed frightened.They had to clarify to her how much they ripped me off and why I didn't want to spend a dollar per page.The owner was very rude too. Cheap woman. So $60 to design a simple flyer for 20 minutes.about a $25 value at most. Go to Kinkos. Even if your rich just on principle.Don't let them take advantage of you! read more

I went to COPYNET with a sketch that I wanted to make into a Valentine,it was a simple sketch in pen. I left with a professional grade Card that I could not believe or possibly expect. After checking the Internet, my husband phoned around to find a printer for the funeral program that we'd designed for his mother's funeral. We had two days. He called the Paper Source regarding stock and they highly recommended Copy Net for the printing job. Mona at Copy Net on Sutter was very kind when he called on a Friday evening. They were closed at the time, but she agreed to come in on a Saturday to help. Mona had four card stock options there to choose from, and she waited for him while he brought the stock options home for my opinion. Once we chose the stock Mona printed them beautifully, even unexpectedly folding them for us when thought we'd do that ourselves. It was a relief to have Mona treat him so well at a time of sadness and grief, to get a very competitive price for same-day printing, and to provide the lovely programs, on which we got many compliments. The skin tones of the photos were perfect! We plan to return on happier occasions to have Copy Net handle any of our printing needs. read more

We needed to make myriad changes to SF Fire-required signage for our multi-unit apartment building, which required Daniel to make sense of a garbled AutoDesk document. My fiance and I just printed our wedding invitations, rsvp cards, envelopes and map cards at Copy Net (he had done all the design on photoshop and we just needed someone to produce it on the Paper Source paper I had bought). It turned out to be a way more complicated project than I had anticipated with all the sizing, etc., but Daniel and Feona who are the production team at Copy Net were over the top helpful and were very, very patient with us! They turned them around so quickly. The invitations look so beautiful!! I'm starting to tear up thinking about it! I love love love the way everything turned out! Thank you Copy Net for helping me make my dream invitations for a fraction of the price we would have paid by a stationery store!!! Alright, so I came in to print a few copies of a document from my email account.. First, I waited for the employee to come walking around the corner a bit after 8AM (they open at 8). That was no problem.... I asked if I could print a few copies of something from my email account.. The man behind the counter said "sure, mac or PC.. it costs $3 to use the internet for 1-15 mins." I asked if he could just pull it up for me and print it; it would just take 30 seconds? He told me no and I said that he had no idea what customer service was and that I would just go to the UPS store around the corner... they happily did what he would not... I know it was just a few copies, but he was unwilling to help a customer in need.. for that reason they are getting ONE STAR. read more

I have gone to Copy Net for a year now and they have always been very helpful with my photo prints. Today, the owner/manager was incredibly irritable and rude to me. As a loyal customer, I was surprised that he was so nasty and put zero effort to help me figure out why my black and white prints were coming out with a lavendar hue in his printer. The service and the quality of the prints could not have been better - the manager who helped me even "Photoshopped" the imperfections in the original that showed up in the scans and he discussed the process and options with me clearly and generously. Then through them I found out by using their paper you can get a 10% discount for printing through Copy Net. I went to the store and everyone that works there could not have been a nicer group of people to work with. They helped me format exactly what I wanted and even gave me tips on how to use different parts of Adobe InDesign.
