Then she and Jacob asked a lot of questions and listened intently at the consultation appointment. Gunther had issues with aggressiveness when he was scared or unsure, he was very hyper and spastic, and we could tell he just didn't know how to behave as a dog in a loving home. We opted to send Gunther away with Anya for the 4 weeks border/training program. He came back to us a completely different dog! Gunther learned so much with Anya! He is a super obedient dog and overall has really calmed down. No more jumping on people, no more aggression, no more spastic behavior, no more scarfing his food...he is visibly a much happier dog! He now understands what is expected of him and he really wants to please. We are so thankful for Anya and her team. We met Jennifer while she was helping foster a cat we wanted to adopt. Several months later when we…read moreadopted our dog and discovered his nearly debilitating separation anxiety, we asked her for help. She came to our home and helped train him in some basic commands (turns out you *can* teach an old dog new tricks), as well as training us to recognize signs of stress in him and helping us cope with his anxiety. My fiancée had never had a dog before, and even when it looked like we would have to return Tank to the rescue, Jennifer reassured us that things just take time. Finally, through a combination of training with Jennifer and some puppy Prozac (also at Jennifer's suggestion), Tank is a happy, healthy, well-adjusted dog. Also, when we adopted a second cat who did NOT get along with the first cat, Jennifer taught us how to give both cats enough reassurance and sense of safety to make them comfortable with each other. As I write this they're playing together and chasing each other up and down the hall (for such small cats they make a LOT of noise). All of this is to say that without Jennifer we would not be the family that we are. She brought us our first cat, helped us rescue and rehabilitate our dog, and made sure our second cat was safe in our home. They give you updates throughout your dogs stay, spend lots of quality time with the dogs, and my dog always comes home tired from all the fun he has had. We have had two poodle mixes, one a senior dog named Ruffie who passed a little over a year ago, and the other a schnoodle named Jarvis. You can always tell a good groomer by the reaction of your dogs to arriving, especially our late senior dog, who would shake and whine even passing some prior groomers shops on the road. But both dogs couldn't wait to see Katie. Even in the final days of our precious Ruffie's time with us, when I'm sure his difficulty standing and sensitivity from his cancer made him difficult to groom, he came home looking wonderful as always and had an extra spring in his step. It was one of his last "good" days, and I'll forever be grateful for the care she showed him. It's tough to find a good groomer, and even tougher to find one with whom your pets are comfortable and enjoy the experience. Her pricing is in line with other groomers in the area, and she has always been flexible with us on appointments, even when my wife's unpredictable health or my crazy work schedule make things more difficult. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else.
