I totally recommend this place you won't be disappointed ! .... Go and take a look and tour the facility the owner was gracious and walked me thru the entire place. Imressive ! ... So my big German shepherd has stayed here now twice ... She comes home happy both times ...not Like I can't wait to get outta here type of thing .... The one thing I will always regret - Is bringing my dog to Mellett Animal Hospital and trusting…read moreJoseph H. Keller III, to take care of my Xena. I can't call him a doctor - because of the way he treated her and abandoned her, when she needed help the most! First - Keller misdiagnosed my Xena, he let her live with cancer for 5+ years while she was in his care. He was explaining the growing lumps on her body as normal: fat tissue, build up tissue due to her aging (in his words).. etc. Second - when she started growing lumps in the breast area, a surgery needed to be performed. He recommended removing only one lump on her breast - because the rest of the lumps were "nothing to worry about" ,as he said. I insisted 3 biggest ones to be removed! The biopsy showed all 3 were cancerous tumors! After taking Xena to an oncologist, report showed that all the lumps on her body were cancerous tumors (at least 5 more). The report also showed that the surgery performed by Joseph Keller - was not done properly and needed to be redone!! All of these reports were sent to Mellett Animal Hospital. After that, when I tried to contact them - they were rude and were constantly lying to me that Keller will return my call. He never did call back! They just stop all communication, without a single word of explanation. They just dropped a cancer patient, because Joseph Keller couldn't face me - after all he did to Xena! My Xena would have died from cancer, if I didn't take her to a different Vet Clinic!! Stay away from this place!!!!!

We have done this previously without incident…read more When I picked my dogs up last night, one of them was dripping blood from her ear, and she also had gashes on the top of her head and front shoulder. When asked what happened, they said one of our dogs attacked her. The "attack dog in question" is the sweetest pup in the world and has had no issues living harmoniously with the others. She has no wounds or scratches either. You would think that if 2 dogs were fighting, there would be marks on both animals. When prompting for further information, I was given the same story. All attempts of trying to fully understand this situation have been met with deflection and a lack of accountability. On top of the almost $400 boarding bill, we know have a couple hundred dollar vet bill as well. We chose this place to keep our pups safe, and that's just something they couldn't handle. They will no longer be getting our business, and I hope you choose to board your precious pups somewhere else as well.

The dogs had large runs with outdoor access and a large outdoor area to play in. The kennel itself is exceptionally clean. They were excited to have him when the reservation was made. When we showed up, they immediately came and got him so I could fill out the necessary paperwork. He was so happy to go with them that I once again had no worries. My sign other hates kennels and was tearful at the thought of leaving him. When he saw our dog later playing in the run and how relaxed he was and tail up and wagging he was amazed and said he would never have a problem taking him there! When we picked in up after our two week vacation, he was in perfect health and no signs of stress. The staff was able to tell us that he refused to eat the first day yet then he would eat all his food that was given. They once again informed us on how much they loved our dog and how they would love to have him back. Whenever we go anywhere he will definitely stay here!
