    Whitefish we're good for snacking

Cora Pearl is an excellent, high-end "new British" restaurant serving up delicious cuisine in a cozy environment. We came as a group after work and enjoyed most of the menu. For starters, the ham and cheese toastie was surprisingly good (lots of ham!), and the beets and burrata were also well-liked. For mains, the veal was fantastic -- tender with a big portion. The hipsi cabbage balanced it well as a crispy and substantial veggie side (whereas the mixed leaf salad was a bit flimsy). The chips are also massive and very crispy if you're a fan of thick chips. For dessert, you have to get the milk and cookies! The name severely undersells the dish, which is an overloaded concoction of chocolate mousse, topped with a large, warm, chewy salted chocolate chip cookie, accompanied with milk ice cream and whipped cream. It was amazing. Our server really upselled us on a lot of sides, so we had more than enough food. Maybe keep that in mind when you visit that you can say no! But overall had a nice time. Check it out if you're looking for a fancy meal out for date night or a work event.

Henrietta Street continues it streak of success stories with @corapearlcg seriously raising the bar. The dishes balance comfort with edge. The chips have got to be one of a kind. And the veal with the most sublime bordelaise will transport you to the most magical of worlds. - Smoked Eel, Beetroot, Horseradish - Just right - Cow curd agnolotti, Jerusalem artichoke, truffle - Devilled eggs - Glazed Pig Cheeks, Cauliflower, Piccalilli - Veal fillet, celeriac, bordelaise - a beautiful shiny reduction of meat stock is a transformational ingredient. Always. - Lamb chuck - Bouillabaisse, croutons - Bubble and squeak risotto - Chips

    Outstanding for kids..

It's located in an old wine cellar (the oldest in London) and dimly lit by candles. If you are looking for a spot that matches the dark and moody London aesthetic and offers plenty of history, this place is perfect for you. I was very surprised by the quick wait time. We travelled in August which is their busiest time of year and the most we had to wait for a table was maybe 10 minutes. This place seems to be a true hidden gem and more popular among locals than tourists. The cheese boards are delicious and just as unique as the place itself. They have plenty of flavors to choose from and have several different options depending on your budget. We went with the two cheese board and everything included paired perfectly with the wine. The staff was great at giving us recommendations and even let us sample several flavors before committing. We loved this place so much we decided to come back our last day for round two. If you are travelling to London, I highly recommend adding this wine bar to your list of places to eat or drink in the city.

Really cool atmosphere with a low cave ceiling, comprehensive wine list and lots of cheese, charcuterie and some other British favorites. We began with wine, rose bubbles and a glass of champagne- unfortunately my champagne was room temperature which is a per peeve of mine but the rose bubbles were served ice cold in a cold glass?! My husband did enjoy his wine! We were asked about food but they never came back so we decided to enjoy our drinks and the unique atmosphere before heading out
