The rehab for the knee replacements is hard but Mackenzie was so encouraging and helpful. I feel like I wouldn't have had such good outcomes without her. Then they never called me to tell me that they cancelled the appointment after they confirmed it with me numerous times, and sent me paperwork to fill out. Then they got indignant with me because I told them they weren't respectful of my time. I found another PT office which is probably a Godsend because this place looked run down and not very clean anyway.

I've had the "privilege " of experiencing many physical therapists over the years. They often would get you started on an exercise and then go work with someone else. Multi-tasking doesn't seem right when it's your health involved. And, surprisingly, results were mixed. If I got better it was because I did more than was asked. I often got impatient with therapists who wanted me to do the same exercises in front of them that I had been doing at home. No thanks. When I read that Cornerstone dedicated their scheduled time to you, I had to see. So post surgery, I went and met my therapist Andrew. Wow. What a concept-a dedicated therapist who took time to evaluate, plan, push and support. Incredibly knowledgeable and insightful. He knew I did my exercises every day and each visit was an addition and extension. He worked with me directly and didn't have me do bogus time killers like 10 minutes of spinning a wheel while he tended to other things. He gave me new things to do at home every visit. As a result, I made great progress. In fact, he even told me that after 5 visits he thought i had progressed enough to stop coming in! Even though I had medical authorization for more! He loaded me up with a home program and my recovery has been better than expected. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. They aren't all created equal.

Batson's assistant met with me first; he was kind, respectful and asked all of the necessary questions. Prior to coming in, the assistant shared the info with Dr. Batson so I did not have to repeat all of the answers again (love that). Dr. Batson examined me, took x-rays and scheduled an appt to have my knee aspirated and a steroid shot. The morning after the aspiration and shot, Dr. Batson personally called me to find out how I was feeling. I was happy to report the swelling was already down and the pain was gone. Dr. Batson also sent the fluid to the lab. When I went to the follow-up appointment, the lab results indicated I had gout. So thankful Dr. Batson was so thorough. However, Friday came and went with no phone call, so I reached out again, as my open wound was urgent. My questions were not answered, and I was told others were ahead of me and they didn't "know when we will get to you." Today is over a week later, and I still haven't heard back directly. I decided to write this review after I just learned they contacted MUSC, not me, to deny me because I'm out of network. This took them A WEEK, wasting valuable time. Clearly, my life seems to have no value to them. This is unacceptable patient care and unprofessional. I can afford to pay out of pocket, but I will absolutely not give them money if this is how they treat people who need immediate care. I would advise others to avoid them as well. Cost doesn't matter when a doctor and staff show compassion and professionalism, and truly value your health and life.

Wow, my experience was awesome! I was diagnosed with Sudden sensorineural ("inner ear") hearing…read moreloss (SSHL), commonly known as sudden deafness. My prognosis was dim from my ENT Doctor, a 30% chance of getting full hearing back with steroid treatment. I had a friend recommend HBOT, which I was able to get my doctor to write a referral for. After two weeks of treatments, my hearing has returned 100%! My ENT doctor was amazed, and my insurance covered it!
