Living out in the country (aka Mexico Beach) I have to drive into the big city (Panama City) weekly to go to a grocery store; and I usually do that early on Saturday mornings. I was very happy to find Coram's on my weekly trip to grab a great breakfast a decent price. This past weekend we stopped in to Coram's Steak & Eggs to grab breakfast. I tried the country fried steak with gravy; which came with eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. It was a lot of food, but very delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. We were so happy to have Corams back. We missed their fluffy omelettes with Spanish sauce, perfect pancakes and grits. The restaurant was packed so we waited a little while to be seated, but not very long. Food and service was excellent as always. Delicious coffee!!! We LOVE Corams! It was a seat yourself arrangement and we saw a few people getting feisty over who was next. Some were hovering over tables when patrons stopped eating and put their forks down. I felt sorry for the waitress who was cleaning up after a large table finished. People were standing around the dirty table waiting for her, which made it difficult for her to work. Owners may want to consider "Wait to be Seated" in order to resolve this. read more

Coram's Steak and Egg has it all! Looking for a local old timey diner with great food, Coram's is it! The 2x2x2 was what I ordered with chocolate chip pancakes and they were very generous with the chocolate chips!! Sooo good! I devoured it so no food pics. My family stayed in Mexico beach we saw this place headed to Panama City and honestly looking at it I was not expecting much. This place is SO GOOD!!! I can not say enough about the food it was amazing. I had the country fried steak and I could have eaten 10 more it was delicious. I do not eat steak it's just not my thing but my husband got the steak and eggs and I tried his steak and wow the flavor was amazing. My husband said the hash browns were really good as well. This place is a must try as someone who plans their whole day and life around food just trust me. The service was really great as well our waitress Erica was so kind and found ways for us to save money on some of our meals since I ordered Al a cart on some things. An average breakfast and appears to be in an old Waffle House building; one of the larger restaurants but same layout and menu. Affordable, yes for today's prices. Three eggs, hash green, sausage patties and toast plus coffee was $12.50 plus tip. If you want a basic breakfast meal and need it fast, then this is the place. read more

The service is very good. It's really not much to look at on the outside or inside, as far as atmosphere, but decent. The food is nothing to write home about, but decent and not horrible. It's a run of mill diner type place. Probably won't return unless there is no other place to eat. read more

Not the type of place, I'd usually dine, but while driving through at breakfast time, Coram's was one of the only options, so I decided to give it a try. The service was good. Zero ambiance, as you'd probably expect, but it was clean enough and the breakfast of omelettes and biscuits, were actually pretty solid. If you're looking for upscale and/or gourmet, this isn't your place, but if you're ok with Denny's or Waffle House, you'll love Coram's... and it's local, which always moves it up a notch, IMO. read more

This is the spot for good ole country style breakfast. The decor is hole in the wall family owned business that needs updating but the food and service make up for it. I spouse lived the heavenly hash and it's just that...heavenly! I tend to order the 2-2-2 , which is 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, and 2 slices of bacon. Pair this with a great cup of coffee and some juice. Highly recommend , and we drive all the way from Lynn Haven just to have a bite. read more

My husband grew up in the area and raved about this place so when traveled out here of course we had to stop. it was very busy (saturday morning) but they were quick and worked well as a team. Friendly staff and great omelette but the coffee was very weak and sorta gray(?). I guess I have good taste in booths because my seat cushion was duct tapped together, must be a popular spot. Every time I go ( I go there a lot) I usually get a great burger and fries. The past couple of times I have been here the burger has had no taste at all and the fries have either been cold or not salted even after asking for them to be salted. Tried it again tonight and burger had no taste fry's look like they were cooked in old grease and there wasn't any lettuce tomato etc. disappointed and don't know if I will be back. I was at the new corams on 15th. 2 weeks after it opened. My hope were that it would be an upgrade from the one on Tyndall parkway That was not the case. Every time I ate at the one on Tyndall the food was slow. And I mean slow coming to you even when there were few patrons Always got the same excuse " our chef just quit last week". So at the new one , after waiting 1 hour after putting our order in ( duly note " after ") out mean finally arrived. Ordered SOS. Got 2 pieces of toast with a little cold gravy dabbed on it. Then I got the " our chef just quit last week" ? And then I thought REALLY? Do you train you people to say that???? Understanding they had only been opened 2 weeks an glitches in the system will arise, but you guys need to hire some good cooks and PAY them, waitress were Hard working at covering up issues. What a wonderful little gem! We stopped in here on Thanksgiving Day while traveling. We were served a really tasty Thanksgiving dinner. The usual turkey, stuffing, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce, wonderful pumpkin pie. It was a really tasty meal and the service was lightening fast, which is great while traveling. DH & I are big fans of breakfast places. I am pretty picky about my eggs. While staying here for a mini vacation I spotted Coram's and noticed the parking lot stayed pretty full, which is why we decided to go there. Sign on the door said that they only take cash so everyone could see it & not be surprised. Had to wait for a seat, no big deal. We both ordered the Combo omelette fluffy not flat. Came with grits and toast. Took a while to get it and the grits were cold. Waitress was nice and RE -plated our omelette and toast so we could eat while they got the grits heated. Hand's down one of the best omelette s ever! Cooked perfectly! Served hot and the ingredients tasted fresh. Waitress was attentive and kept the coffee flowing. Was more than worth the wait. Prices are reasonable. Roughly $22.00 for us both. Would highly recommend you t rying it out if you are in the area. read more

This place was BUSY for breakfast on Christmas Eve but we were seated almost immediately. Service was great and very friendly. Lots of locals dining. Food selections were good (similar to a Waffle House or IHOP) but the taste was wonderful. Support this local restaurant before you visit one of the average chains in the area. Atmosphere: Small restaurant that has the old school diner feel to it. Customer Service: Great customer service, BUT go there with patience because all food is cooked to order so you will have to wait 15-20 minutes to get your food. SO the 5 stars is for what I truly believe about this place, I'm OBSESSED. But you need to know that this is not your typical "5 star restaurant" It is essentially a diner. Pretty dive-y. But the food is freaking amazing. My husband and I recently moved here from Arkansas and after a 10 hour drive to our new home we were STARVING and stopped at the first open place we saw, Corams. Breakfast and diner type foods. Hubby & I are huge breakfast fans so I went with the "Lumberjack Omelet"-- 2 Eggs, hashbrowns, jalapenos, bell pepper, ham, tomato, & cheese. Awesomeness. Hubby got the name-sake "Steak & Eggs" and loved every second. Since that first meal at Corams weve been back twice and I've craved a Lumberjack omelet pretty much every single day. Go here for breakfast. Or breakfast for dinner. Or breakfast for lunch. Whatever, just go. :) PS: They only take cash. They have an ATM but it'll charge you like $3. So come prepared..
