Bellini Pound Cake with a wine soaked peach and buttermilk whipped cream
    Shameka C.

I've been living in the area too long not to have visited Corbin before now. I follow them on Facebook and they do an excellent job with updates. Today, 07/10/2020, I saw a post about their Bellini pound cake and I had to have it. It's not too far from my home, so I arrived with minutes, walked right in and was greeted immediately. I placed my order for the pound cake but had been eyeing the "Just Peachy" wine which is also in the glaze on the pound cake. Yep, I ordered a bottle. This place is so inviting and very clean. I have to go back later and enjoy the other food items and some music. The young lady that took my order told me about an event this weekend and she gave me the food menu for the week and the wine list and prices. This was such a complete visit, I felt very informed. Oh and the cake is absolutely delicious!!! I can't wait to try the wine!!!

Gosh, I fell in love this place all over again today! My friend held a cookie decorating event here and it was absolutely the best time. I am NOT a wine-oh but OH MY!!! They're tuxedo wine is absolutely to die for. It is the craziest thing that I have ever tasted whine wise, the most amazing blend of cherry and chocolate! They also have great food options from finger foods to personal pizzas! I really enjoy the atmosphere and the staff are always great.

If you want a relaxing afternoon with great entertainment on a weekend, this is your place to go! We drove 45 minutes and came to visit on a Saturday shortly after opening. We had 2 wine tastings with glasses of 4-2 oz pours. We ordered the sampler that had chicken salad, hummus and pasta salad with crackers, it was a perfectly put together plate with different consistencies and flavors. There was a great band playing outside. We ended up leaving with a case of wine so that wasn't a bad end to the day at all.

Selection of some of the wines.

Really good wines overall. Very friendly staff, nice indoor and outdoor area. Very reasonably priced, we got the flight of 4 different wines, loved the selection. I would definitely go back...try the dessert tuxedo wine! Very delicious!!

We absolutely loved our visit to Corbin Farms today, and will be back! We came here on a rainy Saturday, but the staff was very welcoming, music was being played live, and the venue is beautiful with the cool trucks out front. Our server was very pleasant and made sure we always had what we needed! The Wine: I tried the white blend, peachy, blueberry, and the tux. I really loved the white blend which had hints of apricot and pear. The peachy and blueberry were both very good and tasted just like their names suggest. The tux definitely had notes of chocolate which although a little weird, I really enjoyed! The Food: We split a Margarita pizza and the spinach artichoke dip. We were just as impressed with the food as we were with the wine. The flatbread pizza was loaded with cheese, and Im normally not even a pizza fan. Overall, We loved this winery and cannot wait to come back!

I just love Corbin Farms! It's one of my favorite wineries in the Birmingham area. Formerly Vizzini Winery, it was purchased several years ago and you can still find vizzini favorites like Tuxedo Junction (a red chocolate dessert wine!!) plus new options. The building doesn't look much from the outside, but inside is warm and inviting. On one wall is a fireplace, kept going on cold and rainy days. Opposite this is a long bar, where you can choose to do tastings for a fee. You also have the option to tour the winery, and knowledgeable staff walk you through the steps to winemaking, from grapes to bottling and labeling. The wines are delicious. My favorites are the Viognier and the Merlot, but the strawberry white wine is delicious as well! I don't think I've tried a wine there yet I didn't enjoy. You can enjoy them on site by the glass or bottle, or purchase bottles to take home. They also offer a tasty lunch menu. My friend and I went recently. She had the house salad and a bowl of chicken tortilla soup, and I had the Sicilian flatbread, with Italian meats and different kinds of olives...delish! The facility frequently hosts events, from Murder Mystery dinners to Mardi Gras festivities. I haven't been to one yet, but I hope to in the future! They also host private events. If you're in Shelby County, definitely check out this gem!!

My new favorite place! Very generous wine pours and delicious chicken salad! I recommend ordering the Sampler which included Hummus, Pimento Cheese Dip, Chicken Salad and Pasta Salad. So good!

Super fun vibe, weather was perfect! We got the sampler flight and you can't beat the prices! I'm normally a fan of dry red but loved the blackberry red that was a little sweet. Service was great! We stayed all afternoon!

I came here with friends this past weekend, and it was a great time. We sat outside on their patio since it was dog friendly and brought a pup. My friends got flights which is a super good deal and probably what I would do next time. You get four 2 oz. portions of wine for only $10. I tried some of theirs all of which I liked, and I usually hate wine! These were all much sweeter like fruit juices almost. I tried two reds, their watermelon flavored one, and another one that I can't remember. I ordered The Sampler to eat which consisted of crackers, pita chips, chicken salad, hummus, pasta salad, and pimento cheese. The pita chips and hummus were my favorite, but it was nice to try it all! To drink I had a Tropical slushie. It was alright. It had riesling and some other fruity flavors. Very refreshing to have on a hot day. They had a luau event here so my friends and I did the pineapple bowling. Harder than it looks!

Corbin is my favorite winery in Alabama that I have been to so far. It is the perfect place to spend a weekend luncheon. The flights are a great deal, and you get 2 oz pours no matter which wine you choose. They also offer great deals on bottle and case purchases. Don't knock the food options either - the buffalo chicken flatbread is one of the best things on the menu!

Margherita pizza and spinach & artichoke dip. Yum!

When you look up peace, Webster should have a picture of this place. The personal tour was great. We learned a lot about wine making in the South. There's nothing like Southern hospitality. And for a non-sweet wine connoisseur, this wine is exceptionally aromatic and balanced. Seemingly, from the time we entered this place they had lots of visitors. Another of the North Alabama wineries, this place is impressive. After chatting with the owner, Keith, a gregarious and informative historian you can see that he has turned this winery into a competitor one that others in Alabama and surrounding areas, best take notice. Since they don't sell outside of Alabama or in restaurants at this point, they are known by simple marketing which is by, Word of Mouth. Darn, that speaks volumes on how good their wines are. From the outside, the winery appears modest and unassuming with a homemade cat sanctuary off to the side as you enter as well as comfortable seating if you want to sit awhile and drink a few glasses of wine. However, once inside you see a display of wines in a modern showcase, signage revealing free wine tasting, wall art and decor throughout. The focal point, an American flag with wines and champagne glasses adorning it, as though they were selected to display a vestige of the modern south which is now a true competitor in the wine game. Keith, personable, engaging and endearing. He served as the wine pourer, provided the archive of the winery and even gave my party of 4 a tour. He showed us the vats used for making the wines, bottling techniques to include corking and labeling as well as gave us insight into how the infamous Skeeter P came into existence. The wines ranging from sweet to dry and each having its own unique flavor of bright, aromatic, bold, bountiful, crispy and fruity to name a few descriptors of the full bodied taste. As a true dry wine lover, I was pleasantly surprised at the enjoyment of the sweet taste of Skeeter P (SP), made of peach, pear and apple. Keith speaks of its uncanning existence with pride and serendipity. Although I enjoyed the blueberry and pomegranate dry wines, SP sold it for me. Can't wait till my next visit to 'Bama to come back and see the new wines as well as the old favs.

We had a total of five stops to taste food, dessert and drinks. First stop was The Seafood King located in Lakeshore. We had a sample of the seafood basket which included shrimp, sausage, corn cob and a potato. Nice taste. Not over seasoned or under. Just right. It was a nice sample of some of the food they offer. Second stop was Jake's Soulfood in Hoover. We took a quick picture by Comedian Joys cutout then proceeded to sit for our food tasting. We had fried chicken, mac n cheese, cornbread and rice with beans. The chicken was cooked fresh and I personally would have liked a little more seasoning on the chicken but that's my preference. It was still good and so was the mac n cheese. This is when I started getting full. I did take the food I couldn't finish from Jake's home. Third stop was The Whole Scoop also located in Hoover. We were treated with a cone or bowl of ice cream (one scoop) of any flavor they had. The options were plenty. Our guide did advise us not to get vanilla, chocolate or strawberry because we can get those anytime. We needed to explore new flavors. I did... I got the dark chocolate raspberry truffle (I think that was the name). It was delicious and was a nice break from eating food. Yummy Then we traveled to Trussville and stopped at La Calle. We had tacos there. Nice spot and the tacos are authentic. They have a taco bar where you can additional toppings or get sauces. Our last stop was Corbeau Wine Bar. I have wanted to visit them for a while and now was my chance. We had a wine sample then had a quick tour of the wine bar concept. It's pretty amazing because you can sample as many wines as possible (for a fee and depending on the ounces). A great way to try before you commit to buying a full bottle of wine. The price points were reasonable. Overall a great fun experience with friends with cool music playing while we traveled. We danced some and sang along to a few songs.
