Cons: Street parking in very sketchy neighborhood. 50% or more of the vendor don't open on "too hot" days. Pros: Plenty of seating. Indoor dining area is warm on cold days and cool on hot days. Variety of affordable choices.

More people need to get ON this cute food cart hub. There is so much indoor and outdoor seating--very clean and well kept. Great place to go to watch any sports game of interest, board game night with friends and family, even a good study spot if you don't mind the ambience--overall great neighborhood addition and clutch community gathering space! The food selection is super unique and reflective of the neighborhood it resides in: Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican, Hawaiian, and BBQ!

Publican Beet Room

Amazing selection of food options. The service is phenomenal. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable with two massive flatscreen televisions to watch your favorite game. They have an amazing Publican Beer Room with a unique variety of beers and spirits. Extremely clean restrooms.

How great is the CORE?! I first happened upon them when I'd been out doing errands and needed to get my son a burrito. I ordered from Habanero burrito, then was wandering and passed Los Tamales Locas. I got one for lunch and two for later. When I tried mine, I was so glad I'd bought more to freeze - I know my tamales and these were exceptional! This time I went to get the boys chicken gyros from Noah's Halal Gyros, and myself a bowl from Fresh Fish Poke. It was raining on this visit to Core, so I followed some strangers inside the main building, which I hadn't even noted the first time (it's huge - what's wrong with me?!). Inside is really nice!! They have so many good areas to sit in and plenty of good light from outside, even in the rain. I'd had a long day at the DMV, and decided I deserved a pint from the bar inside. They have a huge selection of beers, which the server, Henry helped me pick through and decide. We ended up striking up a conversation - he was one of the owners! He couldn't have been nicer. They even have a notebook of all the food cart menus inside - if it is a wet day, I suggest going in to grab a seat and a pint, look at all your options, and enjoy!

We used to come here all the time, but then they shut the place down. This is The Reincarnation of the old Core Food Station. I tell you it is so much better. A lot of thoughts went into making the inside nice. I believe there are 14 food trucks here. The chances are you will find whatever your heart desires. Everyone we dealt with here was nice and friendly especially the bartender at that Pelican Beer Room. They have cider, wine, and of course beer. There is plenty of private parking, so your car is safe. Come here support them, so they don't shut down again. It would be a shame...

It's a neat concept and convenience location. I wish they have more business because the place looks dead instead of bursting with people. There were only 5 places (3 counters inside and 2 trucks outside) opened during Friday's afternoon when I dropped in. My broken rice was generous in portion and tasted okay. I wasn't fond with the caramelized plain fish sauce came with it. I wish she would've the traditional fish sauce instead. I wanted to order drink but there was many trucks opened. Overall, it was a disappointment first visit. I'm rooting for this place though and wanting to see it thrive. I hope the management and marketing for CORE step up their game!

Great environment with plenty of food options and even a bar inside the new building. Overall, it was a great experience! I tried the spicy chicken from the Hawaiian food court and was very happy with it.

Island Grill has the best spicy chicken plate. They are super nice and accommodating as well. This place is also such a big vibe & hangout spot. The food trucks are all so good plus theres a bar The inside area is also such a good spot to hang & eat your food. Love this place, 10/10

The interior, while spacious, doesn't have much character. Could definitely use more decoration or something, otherwise, happy it exists!

Chris the bartender is amazing! He is helpful, friendly, and is great at helping you pick a great beverage.

Nothing was open as listed per website. Space was large and clean but would have been good be able to get food.

We were able to try a wide variety of dishes, and every single one was exceptional. I have dietary restrictions (no onions or garlic), and the kitchen and staff were incredibly accommodating. They prepared separate versions of several dishes for me without hesitation, and I never felt like I was getting a lesser experience. It's rare to find a restaurant that can accommodate food sensitivities so thoughtfully while still delivering incredible flavor. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish, and the service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and made our birthday celebration feel special without ever being overbearing. Everyone in our group left talking about how amazing the food was. We couldn't have asked for a better meal or a better overall experience. Mediterranean Exploration Company has definitely earned a spot on our list of favorite Portland restaurants, and we can't wait to come back.

This place is only a few blocks from my home…read more I randomly came here on a date and didn't have a reservation, so we were told we could sit at the bar, so we grabbed the back corner. It ended up being a great spot. The ambiance is great and the bartender was pleasant. They have a seasonal menu, which assures me that we're going to get the freshest produce possible. We started with the Labneh & Confit Butternut Squash. It was fine, but not my favorite dish of the night. The labneh was more like Greek yogurt than cheese, which isn't a bad thing, but I would have liked a little more saltiness. The Harissa Spice Shrimp, on the other hand, was fantastic. Definitely the standout item we actually ordered. The Baked Eggplant was good too, although it didn't quite wow me. I think there was some mix up, as we were first served the Roasted Eggplant Dip. We flagged the server down to say it wasn't what we ordered, but they let us keep it. Boy were we happy about this! It was the best dish of the night (and a must reorder). The pita to go with the Labneh and the Dip was excellent too. Piping hot and just right.

Nicholas Restaurant has a really cute, welcoming vibe, with outdoor tables and plenty of seating inside. They have a great selection of drinks, and I decided to try the house Arnold Palmer--made with fresh lemonade and cinnamon mint iced tea. It was unique and really refreshing. We started with a few appetizers for the table: hummus, tzatziki, and falafel balls. Everything came out quickly and was a hit. The hummus tasted incredibly fresh, the tzatziki had a nice tangy kick, and the falafel balls were perfectly crispy and flavorful. For my main, I ordered the chicken breast kabob plate, which came with two skewers, rice, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. The chicken was incredibly tender and cooked just right. Overall, a great meal with fresh, flavorful food and a relaxed atmosphere. I can definitely see why my family keeps coming back--this spot is well worth a visit.

The young lady at the counter gave possibly the worst service I have experienced in a long time. She gave no acknowledgment, no recommendation, seemed bothered that we were there, no response when we said thank you multiple times. ZERO ENGAGEMENT! The place is also dirty and appears unkept. The outside seating area has trash and debris from the previous day...we were there right after open... needs to be swept. Doesn't appear like it has been pressure washed in a while either. Planters are smeared with dirt, concrete stained with food buildup and tables need a bath. The inside is just as bad, which starts at the front door. Front glass looks awful...smears, dirt, grime, and streaks galore. There are also signs peeling and tape residue left from signage that used to be present. Soda machine and bathrooms were also beneath expectations. You can't have a "thank you for supporting small business" sign if you aren't doing your part. I would love to support you in the future, BUT service and cleanliness must improve.

Superb! I also loved the fresh baked focaccia with its fluffy texture and crackling crust and stuffed with savory rosemary and soft roasted garlic (so good I ended up getting a second order of it). The short rib arancini were crispy with a nice sauce and are ordered by the each. I forgot to mention that the menu is designed for sharing so plan on 2-3 dishes per person. The spicy pork pasta had fun thin ribbons of noodles with a curly edge (like skinny lasagne noodles) and wasn't too spicy. My wife really like the seasonal sweet corn ravioli with its beautiful lite preparation. All this food was more than enough and very reasonably priced. The Dolly Focaccia with roasted garlic and olive oil, the Roasted Carrot & Farro Salad and the Grilled Heirloom Carrots are all simple and delicious. On the pasta side, the Tagliatelle al Burro is perfect, and the Black Kale Pesto Mafaldine with roasted mushroom and the Braised Short Rib Arancini with pecorino aioli and honey are equally good choices if you're after something a little more complex.
