He was knowledgeable, diagnosing the issue of a shattered LCD screen over the phone when I called. The shop is clean, organized and easy to find. In person, Martin was friendly & professional as well as helpful - answering all of my questions and showing me how to do things on the phone. My daughter's phone stopped charging and it was acting up, not sure what was going on. Went to Sprint (T-Mobile) and they said it could be the charging port so we went next door to Mr. Fix it. He said the same thing but didn't have the part, so he ordered it and the part arrived a couple of days later. I didn't have to pay anything up front, he said to pay once the part was replaced. When we dropped off the phone I was expecting to get a call a couple of hrs later, come and get it and pay.... that wasn't the case. Martin ran some diagnostics and fixed it without even replacing the part. Didn't pay anything and he was more than gracious to explain what was going on. Mr. Fix It of Mechanicsville, VA is a wonderful place. The prices are fair, the service is awesome and is very speedy. My phone was acting up, giving a "too cold to charge" error (in the summer in 90F weather . . .) and he was able to diagnose and completely fix the issue. I couldn't be more happy with the service I got. The person running the store was very kind and professional. I will definitely go back to him if I ever have any more phone issues. I have already recommended him to family and friends and even to a customer at my work who requested something we do not carry. Martin was very professional over the phone and in person. He told me that they did not have the black screens available to replace on my granddaughters iPhone but they did have a white one and that he could put the white one on so that she could use it over the weekend and they would have the black ones in on Tuesday and he would replace it free of charge. I opted for the white screen to get us through the weekend and was very impressed on the speediness of the service. Her phone was ready in 45 minutes! I took my laptop in that had a broken screen on Thursday 11/4 and Martin told me he would call me that evening to let me know when he could get a replacement. He called me and said that they could get one Wednesday no later than Thursday of next week. Friday 11/5 I told him ok and I went and paid him for the screen. I got a call today 11/6 and he said it was ready that the screen had come in sooner than expected! They are awesome and super fast. Really fantastic service1 I cracked the back glass on my iphone and was looking at a $300 repair according to other services in the Richmond area. Martin suggested an alternative process of removing the glass and preserving the metal frame - a process that cost $179 and saved me considerable money! The phone is beautiful and for just $10 more he replaced a chipped camera lens, and at no cost replaced the scxreen protector. Had an external hard drive that would not mount properly, so I couldn't get any contents off. Martin was able to recover all my data on that hard drive for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend going to him for data recovery before the expensive guys because if he can't recover any data, he won't charge you. So no loss on your part.
