Walking into this location feels less like a gym and more like a guided tour…read more Exhibit A -- Cardio Hall. Here we observe machines at least three generations behind what's running at other Equinox clubs. Remarkably well preserved. Please do not touch. Exhibit B -- The Palette. Yellowed satin white with pale blue painted accents. The palette follows conventions of the historical period; artisans remain unidentified. Reads Bay Club, not Equinox. Exhibit C -- Storage. This is how early humans secured their belongings: you brought a lock from home. Those who arrived without one -- as I did -- left the door open and trusted in God. Other Equinox locations have at least advanced to the rotating dial. Fifteen years ago my hometown gym opened lockers with a fingertip. Three years ago, with a face. Now, seriously -- none of this is hard to fix, and all of it is below the standard the brand charges for: 1. Cardio. A refresh is one request to headquarters away. Ask. 2. Paint. Reset to a clean pure white. Swap the blue accent for acoustic wood slat panels -- vertical battens on a black backing. Low cost, immediate lift, and it's the current Equinox language. 3. Lockers. Change the locks. Bring-your-own-padlock isn't acceptable at this price point. Keypad or RFID at minimum. Credit where it's due: the staff were friendly and respectful throughout, and I was here only as a visitor. But as it stands, this isn't a club I'd want as my home gym. Hopefully they've made some changes by the next time I'm in the area.

I am a 20+ yr pilates practitioner and I enjoy a challenging but safe class and had been searching…read morefor a long time to find a studio that delivered on this. Joseph Pilates was all about discipline and I really prefer instructors who are kind but will teach with this mindset because as a postmenopausal female, I am taking the class for my health and to maintain balance, strength and bone density so Ang and Cat are my favorite go tos. This is also one of the few studios that holds to their class levels so if you are experienced and strong you can bet that the 1.5 class will give you a run for your money. If you are starting out or still working on your strength, then the 1.0 class is best for you. My goal is to work my way up to 2.0. Aside from the highly skilled and capable instructors (you can tell that Ang and Cat have been teaching effectively for decades) , they are kind and super sweet and each has their own personality I love. So if you are interested in coming to a class where people chit chat to fulfill a social need, please don't come here but if you want to feel healthier and stronger and be in the company of others like minded people, run don't walk here. An funny antedote: I only took Cat's classes at another studio 15 yrs ago and when she left, I left the studio and low and behold, I take a class to see what to expect here and guess who the instructor was- Cat!!! Needless to say between Ang and Cat, I signed up real quick. Also the studio has packages and different memberships that suit everyone's needs. Pilates IS EXPENSIVE but it is also ( done correctly) one of the best all body workouts you can find. Lastly, every person I have interacted with who works at the studio is sooooo nice. No snobby people here. That's a plus too.

Highly Recommend Club Pilates Rolling Hills!…read more I absolutely love Club Pilates Rolling Hills! The instructors here are top-tier and make every session worth it: - Cat explains everything clearly at a perfect, steady pace, making her classes wonderfully easy to follow for non-native English speakers. - Angie's classes focus beautifully on improving circulation--every time I take her class, I get a deeply restful night's sleep. - Katie introduces creative new glute exercises every single time--always challenging but so much fun! - Linda's cardio class is intense and high-energy, with great music that keeps the vibe exciting. It's a professional, welcoming, and high-quality environment. Anyone looking for a fantastic Pilates experience should definitely join!

The manager and staff run the facility with professionalism, consistency, and genuine care for members. The gym is extremely clean -- there are always three staff members on the floor actively sanitizing machines, wiping surfaces, and keeping the bathrooms and showers spotless. My wife and I were members at Equinox for several years, paying nearly $400 a month, and the difference is night and day. At Equinox, the staff were often rude, and the machines and locker rooms were cleaned only every few days. Here, cleanliness is continuous and visible. Of course, like any gym, there are members of all ages and backgrounds, and not everyone is equally neat -- especially in the locker rooms. But the staff here address issues immediately. They take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. For the level of service we receive, the membership price is extremely reasonable. I also use the spa regularly and have been very happy with it, even though some members occasionally ignore posted rules. The staff still handle these situations professionally. My wife and I come five times a week, and we truly enjoy it. I highly recommend this gym and want to thank the manager, staff, and floor team for keeping this place clean, welcoming, and enjoyable.

I have been a Fitness 19 member and had previously used the Rolling Hills Estates location around…read moreten times without a problem. Then on June 10, 2026, I walked in and suddenly found out employees were apparently "supposed to stop" me. Stop me from what? Apparently entering the gym I had been using. I asked why I wasn't being allowed inside. Getting a straightforward explanation turned out to be a much harder workout than anything I planned on doing at the gym that day. Instead of someone calmly explaining what was going on, the situation escalated. A manager and a person identified to me as the owner became involved, and I was eventually ordered to leave. The interaction with the person identified as the owner became confrontational enough that I was concerned it might become physical. The strangest part was being questioned about why I was "smiling" or appeared to be laughing. Here's the problem: I have facial paralysis. I also have a documented traumatic brain injury and cognitive disability, and I explained that I have disabilities. My facial expressions do not always communicate what someone might assume they communicate. So imagine going to the gym and discovering that apparently your face needs to pass an attitude test before the rest of your body gets to exercise. I wasn't there to cause trouble. I was there to work out. If there was some legitimate restriction on my membership, somebody could have simply told me what it was. Instead, I was told employees were "supposed to stop" me without receiving a meaningful explanation for why. That is what bothered me most. I felt singled out, humiliated, and treated differently. Once I disclosed my disabilities, I expected the situation to become calmer and more understanding--not to have someone continue interpreting my facial expression as though it proved I was being disrespectful. People with facial paralysis, neurological disabilities, brain injuries, autism, hearing impairments, and other disabilities don't necessarily communicate or display emotions in ways strangers expect. A facial expression isn't permission to assume someone's intentions. Gyms should be places where people with disabilities feel comfortable trying to improve their health, not places where they have to explain why their face looks a certain way. If Fitness 19 believed there was a legitimate reason I could not use this location, I would have listened to an explanation. What I object to is being stopped, given no meaningful explanation, having my facial expression questioned despite explaining my disability, and having the interaction escalate to the point that I was concerned about a physical confrontation. I left without getting the workout I came for, but apparently I did get an unexpected exercise in patience. Based on my experience, I felt that I was treated unfairly because of manifestations of my disabilities. Fitness 19 should seriously review how this location handles members with neurological, cognitive, communication, and facial disabilities. And for future reference: sometimes a smile is a smile, sometimes it's facial paralysis, and neither one should get somebody kicked out of a gym.

The lessons they learn on the mat carry over into everyday life, which is priceless. This is more than just a martial arts school. The masters know every student by name, making each class feel personal and welcoming. The school offers elite-level competition training as well as regular classes for all students. They host school-wide events like holiday potlucks and "parents night out," and are active in the community with annual tournaments and student demos at local schools. The students seemed amazing as the teachers seemed to know how to work with the youth (young kids / children to older teens) effectively. That is always an important characteristic. If investigating martial arts schools, I'd definitely say check this place out for consideration. We visited KS Choi and the place was hard to find because for some odd reason, the outdoor complex it's located at does not have them listed on the directory or map. Maybe because they have their entry on the side road not internal main corridor they might not technically be a part of the complex... but if they are, they should definitely talk to the shopping center management to get better signage and support on the directory and map for customers to find them.

They're always nearby to make sure my form is correct, and they never lose patience when I ask them to remind me how to do certain moves. Speaking of supervision, I went to Lift today for the first time in about a week and a half, and I told Chenell that I've been experiencing some pain in my left shoulder. She sent Dirk outside to talk to me about it, and after I described my symptoms, he re-wrote part of my workout and continued to check in to make sure I wasn't in any pain. It has been years since I've stepped foot in a gym, and I'm not young, so I had misgivings about how the training would go, but those misgivings have disappeared. I have always been active in one form or another, first as a (modest) school athlete, then in the military, and finally just interested in general fitness, but my time with Chenell, Dirk, and Emilie has yielded results (already?!) I've never felt or seen before. Going into this, I submitted information about my background and goals, and I feel it's clear that the team really listened and that I am on a tailored program directly addressing my goals. I am by no means an expert in weightlifting, and thus far have needed many reminders about which exercise is which, what the movements are, etc. but I always feel comfortable asking for those reminders. Dirk and/or Chenell, and/or Emilie are consistently close by for those reminders, or to help with adjustments to form, and pointing out if it might be time to increase resistance (weights) because of increased strength over time. I told myself I was "only" going to do two workouts per week when I started, and almost immediately (and eagerly) bumped it up to three workouts per weeks since I could feel and see positive results almost from the very beginning. I've since discovered that some close friends have also had great experiences at Lift Silverlake, and I've already found myself recommending it to friends based on my experience there.
