Wish I knew this in the first class email they sent! I did a core restore class which was a low intensity long duration hold stretching class! Perfect for beginners. The room was just had a very sweaty smell, more than most other hot yoga spots I've been to. You don't wipe the blocks after use, the staff supposedly does it but I am not sure how often they do it. As someone who's afraid of touching other's sweat... I was a little put off. They do wash the floor between each class though! read more

I was looking for yoga studios in the area and saw that CorePower was a block away from my hotel. I got to the studio a bit early. Rachel wasn't in yet, but another teacher assisted in checking me in. She also tried to hook me up with any perks if any and showed me around the studio. Typical CorePower studio, but this location was smaller compared to others. With some time to spare before the class, I perused through the merch and found some generously discounted Spiritual Gangster tops. I typically take C1 or C2 classes at CorePower, but the 7:30am Hot Power Fusion happened to work with my schedule the best on that day. I've taken Bikram and fixed hot sequences at other corporate branded studios. This was my first time taking CorePower's version of it, and admittedly I was not a fan of the sequence. Arrived late for a class that only had a few students and the lady at the front desk not only wouldn't let me in, spoke to me in such a condescending tone saying it would be "distracting" to the very few students. It would've been less distracting if she spent less time arguing with me and just let me quietly walk into the back of the class. It's no wonder this location has such low enrollment. I am so addicted! My friends invited me to join their script class, so I got my week pass. I've been going to yoga script class straight 4days now and I'm seeking to actually buy a membership. Their teachers are AMAZING, especially Ngoc, Krista and Katie. Their energy is super positive and they give you high motivations. They always pay attention to me and correct my horrible forms. I really love when they tell us their short story at the end of the class. I feel like I'm really close to them and make me feel like I'm part of their life. I finally found a yoga studio that perfectly fits my needs!! I'm obsessed with CorePower Yoga and I really look forward to all the classes! With a bit of yoga experience from school, I was still nervous about starting with a C2 class. It was the one that best fit my schedule so I went for it! It was amazing. For those who have never done yoga before, I would probably recommend taking a C1 first as they suggest. I took full advantage of the first week free and was hooked after that. Black tag member was the way to go for me! Need to go ~8x/month to make it more worth it than the class passes and I was making it there 4+ times a week (so worth it!) The class schedule is perfect for someone like me whose schedule varies week to week. I make it to whatever class I can regardless of who's teaching or what type of class it is cause they're all awesome =) I've taken C1 (great for practicing fundamentals), C2 (most consistent class I attend), C2 candlelight (so cool!!), hot power fusion (love!!), and most recently yoga sculpt (so fun!!) I've been taking a couple of classes through ClassPass for the past few months. So far, I've taken the sculpt, hot power fusion and yoga 2. They are all great classes, but yoga sculpt reminds me more of a Boot Camp style class instead of a yoga class. They are all hot classes, so bring your towel and an insulated water bottle. There is a great water bottle refill station in case you forgot to fill your bottle before leaving the house. The studio room is clean, locker rooms and bathrooms are always clean and well taken care of. Come early! There has been a lot of construction near this studio. Also, there is usually one person at the desk checking people in and that same person is the instructor for the class. They most likely won't be able to Che k you in if they're in the middle of a class. There is a parking garage to park in and it seems like the gym next door tickets those that park and go to Corepower yoga. read more

Try all the teachers and then find the schedule of the ones you like and attend their class only. Also I recommend you bring your own matt water and towel as those will rack up the cost. Hot power fusion is my favorite course and is essentially a shorter bikram. I've gone to many yoga studios around the area and this is one I settled on. It is clean and comfortable. Tempure is warm but not unbearable. Staff members and teachers are friendly and nice. Your body doesn't get used to the same workouts every time coz of the variety of classes from beginners to people who want to explore on their practice to challenging ones. 4) location - it's in the heart of dt bellevue, which is a stone throw away from where we live so my hubby and I have no excuse not to go and have a good workout. 5) parking- they validate parking for 90 minutes. Ever since I've moved to the area, this has been my go to studio. I like the combination of friendly staff, class variety, clean facility, and amenities. Other studios in the area, I find lacking in one or more of these aspects. For recent transplants their 1 week free deal is a great way to test the waters. You can even find discounted package deals on Groupon occasionally. Since I've never had a bad experience here and I practice 4-5 times a week, I committed to a Black Tag membership ($140/mo). Pro tips: Arrive early, doors are promptly locked at the scheduled start time. Also stay hydrated and bring a water bottle.The room can get VERY hot. Lastly, bring a towel/Yogitoes. You'll be sweaty like teen trying to get to first base. It'll help keep you dry and your mat from becoming a Slip 'n Slide. read more

This is my FAVE hot yoga place to date - the teachers are for the most part great (although my fave Shannon is leaving!). When I first tried them out, the front staff wasn't very friendly - he sat at the front the whole time and just gestured towards the locker rooms and studio. But otherwise than that it's been pretty good. The retail space is stocked full of goodies that are always so tempting! The locker rooms are clean and well stocked - the studio is hot but not crazy hot where you feel like you can't get through the workout. The class times are pretty close to one another so you really can't savasana as long as you want. Literally there are times when as I'm leaving another group is lining up on their way in. read more

I was in search of a new yoga studio after moving from the East Coast and I finally found my spot! They have a 1 week free promo for new students, which I took advantage of. After my first week, I've tried the CorePower yoga 1, Corepower yoga 2 and yoga sculpt classes. The corepower classes are slower paced (with the level 2 being hotter), while the yoga sculpt class is high energy, fast paced and uses free weights. I had a lot of fun during the yoga sculpt class and it's a lot harder given it's a mix of cardio and yoga. Usually classes seem to be around 20 students (or less), which is a great size for me. The locker rooms are really nice and never packed. There are 3 or 4 showers and they look well maintained and well stocked with shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Think there are 2 toilets (one of which is handicap accessible). Would highly recommend for anyone of any level! read more

If you are looking to get strong AND flexible, this is the studio to go to! The structure of every class includes core/ab work & of course stretching - what you'd expect from a modern day yoga class. I find classes energizing, strengthening, even relaxing, depending on my state of mind and how I approach the class. I find the teachers encouraging and helpful, of course, some more than others. Super bad experience on lost and found!!! My wife had been a member there for more than half a year. She took a course as usual yesterday afternoon, but unfortunately she forgot to take her pants and underwear with her when she left. She went to this yoga gym in Bellevue and tried to find the lost items today. However, the staffs at the gym first told her that her clothes might have been donated. What? She lost them yesterday and you donate today! Then the staff said they might not be donated but might be picked up by some other people. What? There is some underwear and sweaty yoga clothes. Do you think anyone just happened to have the same underwear and yoga clothes with exactly the same sizes and colors? The staff said they can do nothing about this. OMG! We called the customer service and reported what had happened. The service staff and her manager both behave like an electronic repeater, saying that they are apologize but they can do nothing about it, and they do not feel there is any problem about their lost and found policy. Well. We cancelled the membership and will NEVER go there and we WILL tell any friend and colleague who wants to go there what had happened to us. We know that we cannot make much negative effects on their business. But from their arrogant tone and attitude as well as their frequent repeating sentences, we know that we are not alone. I am very impressed with the cleanliness of the studio and friendliness of the staff! There are many classes and 3 different styles. Many students stay for a "double" or two classes on a row. The 9am sculpt class does get crowded but it has a party feel and I have never gotten my heart rate up that much from a yoga class! Also, even when I can tell it is a new teacher, the clarity of instruction is the better than any other studio I have tried in Washington. I also like that there are over a hundred studios nationwide as I travel a good deal. read more

I've been coming to CorePower Yoga off and on for a few years now because I have chronic neck and shoulder pain. These classes definitely help warm and stretch those muscles out! The instructors are very welcoming and very nice, calm, and patient during the classes. I've only had a chance to take classes from Eric, Jill, and Somaly, but I've enjoyed each of their variations and styles and you'll definitely burn calories while stretching out your body! read more

I'm addicted! I have to be honest, I am not really here for the meditation or the true practice of yoga, I came here mostly for the Yoga Sculpt classes! My favourite thing about this Bellevue location is the quality of the instructors. Really high energy, with you the whole way, and very positive and helping you achieve your best during class. The first time I ever did sculpt...I almost passed out! It does get really hot, but if you know when to just take it slow, your body adapts and its awesome! I think this is the only "sport" that makes me sweat in the way where you are drenched! Don't get me wrong you can also get drenched in C2, C1...you are also sweating, just not as much. I love that the instructors give hand on adjustments so you improve on posture, form, etc. The Bellevue location is never really too packed, but its packed enough where it is good to arrive early for a good spot in the studio. Lockers are really clean, with the occasional wet floors due to people who come out of the showers. I also love that you can borrow a lock from them in case you need to lock your stuff up, but don't really have a full duffel. CorePower is somewhat retail oriented as it is a chain, but still it doesn't discount their quality of instructors here. The bad part is walking back to your car during the cold winter days as it isn't directly connected to the garage and another would be the price. $20/class is a little steep. If you practice enough, defo go for their membership! Again, totally a great studio at a convenient location! read more

The Good: - FREE week of unlimited yoga classes for newbies. - A variety of classes from C1 (level 1 introduction to power yoga) to C3 and even a yoga with weights class (if that's your jam...) - The C1 flow is set so each C1 class will have the same sequence, wonderful for those new to yoga so they can learn foundational poses and see improvement. - Beautiful changing rooms with ample space, clean showers, all the amenities. - I love that CP has mid-day classes. So many studios only offer morning and evening class times and here you can get a 2pm or 4pm class which works really well for my schedule. The Not-So-Good: - Pricing is quite high. I'm not saying the cost isn't worth what you get, but it will be prohibitive for some. - Parking at the downtown location can be rough during peak class times. You're left to fend for yourself on the downtown streets. I also love their entrance space - cozy with couches, retail from some of my favorite yoga brands. If I had more money and more parking resources and if they offered package discounts I'd probably start practicing here full-time. read more

This studio seems to always be packed! Very popular location so be sure to go early to claim your spot. I would say this studio definitely keeps their temperature a bit hotter than the average CPY studio (for level 2 class). The studio itself is kind of a weird shape. It's very long and has a couple of awkwardly positioned pillars (well, I know architecturally, it's not awkwardly positioned...) There is a parking structure that you can get validation from. Some of the spots can be tight and the bottom floor is confusing how to get out of/get back into. I saw in another person's review that the teachers here are all so fit that they motivate you and it's so true! This one instructor had the most killer abs and toned arms that it made me hold chaturanga for a couple seconds extra. As a general review of all CPY that I have gone to (in San Diego and in Seattle): I find most of the CPY teachers competent to the very basic level. Some are more advance than others and have better sequences or can teach a more difficult variation of a pose. However, I can't say this is the norm. It's very cookie cutter at most CPY locations that I have gone to. Sequencing, poses, and teachings often lack innovation. In these classes, I find myself sweating because of the heat (I took level 2 classes), not because of the difficulty of the pose. In my one month unlimited with CPY, I maintained my practice, rather than advanced my practice. Very seldom were my poses adjusted. At the same time, because CPY is a large company, they have many classes/class types to offer for people with busy schedules. read more

Of all the hot yoga studios I've gone to, this is by far my fav! Each instructor I've had has been super nice and helpful. I've gone to their Candlelight class, Power 1, and Power Sculpt with weights class. Each class starts out with the basic yoga positions and gradually works your way up depending on the level of difficulty. It helps when the class size is small and more spread out compared to other hot yoga studios where we're all crammed in like sardines. And they validate parking in the garage! read more

So today was my first time doing hot yoga at this location and ever in my life. I read some reviews on yelp about the great instructors, cleanliness, etc so I decided to give it a shot. I'm recovering from a back accident so I spoke to the instructor before hand and made sure she wasn't going to think I was cheating or being weak in class. She was extremely friendly and understanding of my situation. She showed me where the locker rooms were and even gave me a towel to start the day! Class was amazing. Her name was Sophie L. I could tell she knew a lot about Yoga and she challenged everyone in the room. She provided harder alternatives to poses as well as easier ones to modify to your liking. I never felt like I was being judged and it was a completely positive environment. After the hour session she ended by talking about the change of season and embracing it as well as the people in your life. I feel too stressed out in life personally than someone my age should be, but after this class it was like a breath of fresh air and life. The showers are spotless - although I did take the 6AM class. And they had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It was warm, fun, invigorating, and I cannot wait to go back tomorrow! I am not a huge fan of yoga. In fact, the last time I took a yoga class was well over 2 years. I don't like how slow paced and calm the workout is. I got dragged here by my sister. She told me, she would only do my workout with me, if I did her workout with her. I agreed, but on one condition, if I did yoga, I would have to do it in a HIGH END studio. Which CPY fit my expectations. It was a brand new studio, the fixtures and lighting were so warm and inviting. Everything from the lobby to the front desk staff to the bathrooms were just immaculate! The class, I took a level two class with Kai, and he made the class run so smoothly, there was a good balance of energy, calm and speed to his class it just flowed so well. Great workout, lots of free parking, clean studio. Expensive - but it's market value for group workout classes. The best thing about core power yoga is their inclusive philosophy. Unfortunately, tonight I was greatly disappointed by the behavior of one of your yoga teachers, Alyssa (she teaches on Tuesdays at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.) I got to the studio at around 7:04 p.m., after rushing through the rain and traffic from Kirkland, so I could make it to the 7 p.m. class. When I got to the door, I saw it was locked, so I knocked, smiled, and waved to the teacher that was at the reception (Alyssa). In the past, other teachers have come to open the door when it's locked, smiled at me, and warmly welcomed me to the studio, as some of them know I'm a regular practitioner, and a yoga teacher myself. This time, Alyssa - I had to find her name on your website because she wouldn't give it to me -- looked at me in the eyes disdainfully through the glass door, turned around, and went about her business. She saw that I was waving at her, but instead of coming to the door, she ignored me and proceeded to the bathroom. Alyssa returned after 10 minutes, fully changed with a "Welcome the Sun!" sweater, looked at me again, got her purse, and then went to fill up her water bottle. I kept waiving at her in the cold.... surprised. It was now 7:15 p.m. and I knew I had missed the class. (I'm sure you know this is a deeply disappointing experience when you are a regular practitioner.) Alyssa then proceeded to check her belongings (again!), knowing that I was waiting for her, and finally (!) came to open the door. Instead of apologizing, or explaining the studio policies, she asked with a dismissive tone: "Are you waiting for a parking validation?" Not only did she show that I was unworthy of her consideration, but she was dishonest, as she knew I was waving at her since 7:04 p.m., so I could make it to my regular class. I gave her the benefit of the doubt: I asked Alyssa if she had seen me waving at her earlier. Alyssa proceeded to say: "Yes, but if you are five minutes late, you are not allowed in." I was aghast... This would have been a perfectly acceptable response, if these two statements were true: 1) I had been there late for the class (I was not); 2) she had come to the door earlier to explain her rationale. She knew I was there, could have made the class, but intentionally ignored me. I have been practicing yoga for over 5 years, and this is a first. Being a yoga teacher myself, I'm incredibly disappointed by this experience. read more
