The yoga garden is pretty good considering it was close to where we live. Definitely pretty good pricing too at least for individual class/sessions. The instructor was super nice and definitely very knowledgeable with the poses they were showing us to do. The outside of the place though isn't the best because it's literally already outside and it's like you're on someone's backyard. But other than pretty good place to start yoga in general. read more

This place is a little slice of heaven in downtown Duvall. The yoga studio is beautiful and a really unique space with lots of natural lighting. The owners are super nice and make an effort to get to know everyone that comes in. It's a tight-knit community that is welcoming from the start. I suggest doing the two week discounted new student special and trying out different classes. The all levels classes are on the more gentle side. I have been attending classes at the Yoga Garden for 2 to 3 years. There is really a class for everyone. Love the intermediate yoga, probably my favorite. Sometimes the All Levels class fits my day more. The Bare class is awesome too if you want to work your legs and glutes. Vinyasa or Yinyasa sometimes fit my mood better. Lot's of options and the instructors are the best. Kind of like a "Cheers" for Yoga where everyone knows your name and new folks are welcome. read more

The Yoga Garden is a *gorgeous* studio that's a slice of Bali in the middle of Snoqualmie Valley. Its new location above the Grange in Duvall is a haven, and instantly inspired me to figure out how to bring so much inspiration and light into my home spaces. Blair's Prenatal Yoga class was *exactly* what I needed and more. Imagine lofted ceilings, beautiful wood bathed in natural light and evoking the barn cafe and area, extra tall wall of windows overlooking the mists, ridge, and trees of the valley, murals that make your heart sing... props, plants, rugs, mats that ground the spacious, luminous decor. The instructors and members at this studio are incredibly kind and welcoming! They made me feel very comfortable from the moment I entered the room. The studio is a bit small, but clean and welcoming. They have a restroom and an office, where they keep all of their yoga mats and props. They have mirrors on some walls, which are great for correcting posture and understanding positions. I need their new member short term pass and attended 2 weeks of beginner classes. I'd been doing the beginner classes at another studio previously, and definitely did not feel ready to move up yet. At Yoga Garden, however, the beginner classes were insanely easy. I typically felt like I only got a decent stretch when I went. That's fine - it's a good fit for some people, but just wasn't for me. Same with the teaching style - it was far too spiritual for me. We would chant at the beginning and more. I enjoy the mediative properties of yoga, but not to the point where it starts feeling religious. My only real complaint was that despite going to classes with multiple instructors, none of the instructors were good about doing and showing us poses. It was mostly talking. I'm a beginner - I don't understand what you're saying and I need a visual. This is a nice, clean, welcoming studio, but definitely not the right fit for me. read more

Only came once, didn't feel particularly comfortable. I arrived early for a beginner's class, the teacher saw me but made no effort to recognize me. She kept on having her personal conversation with another student about a yoga retreat they had just returned from. When class was about to begin, I paid but no information about me was taken in, which is odd for when you take a yoga class. Usually they make you sign a health waiver, or want to know things like your last name and where you live. It's an "OMMMMMMMM" place, be warned. I'm just not in to hippie chanting, and once the "OMMMMMMMMM" noises started coming out of the teacher and everyone's mouths, I felt an instant distaste. I tend to prefer a more visual teacher, I want the teacher to demonstrate the moves (it's a beginners class, I have no idea what I'm doing). This teacher did little of that, I spent a lot of time looking to my left at the girl next to me to see what the teacher was talking about. It would have been MUCH more helpful had the teacher stayed at the front of the class and showed all the moves instead of pacing around the room merely describing them. All in all, despite the central location it was just not a place I felt comfortable at. The class was supposed to be beginners but felt oddly cliche-y. Like I was an unwelcome outsider disturbing the place. Because of that, the non-visual teaching style, the non-welcoming teacher who ignored me when I entered and the hippie chanting, it's not a place I'd return to. read more

I gave Yoga Garden a Whoohoo AS GOOD AS IT GETS mark because it is! I started going in 2010 All the teachers are very special people and make me feel welcome and at home. I look forward to going every chance I get (I pay for an unlimited membership every month and go 4-5 times a week) I have made my practice part of my life, like food. Every class is different even if you go more than once a day you will never get tired of a routine. If you have ever been frustrated with finding a good yoga studio, look no further! Because I have had such a wonderful experience every day I go to class I recently took a yoga teacher training class to become certified. Thank you Yoga Garden for showing me the yoga I love! We took children's yoga with Michelle Gorman. We then hired her to do some personal 1:1 yoga with our daughter (our daughter has some health conditions). While working with our daughter, Michelle shared critical personal health information about my daughter with over ten of her close friends, some whom had children my daughter's age. Cringe. Further, Michelle Gorman then instructed her daughter to socially exclude my daughter at school. Further, the Qi Jong teacher, Kathryn Hamilton Cook, led my daughter (age seven) right into the employ of this woman (Michelle). Cringe. Plus the SRT treatment did not work, at all. The Yoga-Garden obviously does not care who they hire to teach, which is a shame because the journey itself should be about love, kindness, and better health. My experience to help my daughter within this company has been nothing short of horrid. read more

It's a nice spacious setting with great ambiance and Sarah has a calming demeanor. It's also simple enough for almost anyone to follow along. I am always glad I came! read more

The yoga garden is a beautiful space for new comers and experienced yogis alike! My teacher Sara was so helpful and kind and gently guided me through my first session. While they're not open right now because of the covid restrictions they're still offering classes through zoom calls. I have been a student of Sara's for about seven years. I highly recommend her classes. You will gain strength, confidence & awareness. You will also earn tone & definition in places the gym can not touch. Sara is one of a kind - a sincere, incredibly gifted teacher. She has an innate ability to instruct without intimidation. Sara's Vinyasa classes are a mix of ever changing Vinyasa Flow, Back Bends, Core/Ab Work, Inversions at the Wall, Balancing and Strength Building poses. She does a great job of mixing it up & asks each student at the beginning of class what pose(s) or body part they would like to work on that day. Sara's classes are high energy, 'flowy' and be guaranteed that silliness will play a part in some portion of the class (she owns a hula hoop). :) Sara's nurturing ability allows her to challenge each individual with modifications that suit them for that day. You will never be forced to do anything you are uncomfortable with. You will sweat...Your breath will grow longer & deeper with each class...Every session ends in Savasana with a soothing & fragrant lavender eye pillow treat! I enjoy the Yoga Garden and it is really conveniently located with class times that work for my schedule. I will agree with one of the previous reviewers that the beginner classes can be a little intimidating. It's clear there are regulars there and a standard flow to the class, but when you first attend you have no way of knowing what is going on. I had a hard time determining who the instructor was. Having done yoga at other studios in the past I wasn't thrown off by the lack of introduction to the movements. I'm not a fan of them 'Omm' either, but I just choose to ignore that part. All that said. I do really like the studio, and come back regularly. It's great to have an option in Duvall and I always leave feeling relaxed and grounded. read more

Today was my fourth visit to the Yoga Garden. Each time has been a treat. My friend and I especially loved our teacher today, Beth. She made us feel welcome, listened to, and cared for. The atmosphere is lovely, but the instructors(all three I have learned from) are very knowlegeable about anatomy and take each class to a place of peace and acceptance. I appreciate the variety of class levels. And what better to end each class with then an eye pillow filled with lavender, ahhhh. This is definately a place worth checking out. read more

The Yoga Garden is truly a gift to the valley. This is yoga for the mind, body and spirit. The classes range from beginner to intermediate-advanced. I have taken classes from all of the instructors, and each one brings something different and wonderful to their classes. The studio is warm and welcoming and looks out over the valley from the front windows. There is a wonderful sense of community at this yoga studio, I am always greeted with warm smiles and friendly check ins as to what I might need out of the class. The vinyasa classes will heat you up from the inside out, you will leave all sweaty and feeling renewed! The gentle classes give you a great long stretch and are very relaxing and they are also a great way to begin learning about yoga. I have been to all kinds of yoga studios and The Yoga Garden has such a special spot in my heart, Sara has managed to create a lovely caring safe space for her students and I would recommend this space to all levels of students. I have been yogafied by Sara at the Yoga Garden. I have studied yoga on and off for many years and was lucky enough to take classes with Trea in Ballard at the Living Space when Old Ballard was still Old Ballard. I feel blessed that I received such a wonderful foundation. BTW....I am not your typical thin yogi, I am curvy and fiery....zen is not my best feature. I don't wear all the trendy yoga wear. WTF?.....Why is that shit so expensive? I can sweat just as well in a five dollar tank top.I am not there to be seen, I am there to work on my shit! With that said...SARA gets it! Her intermediate class is so amazing! After one month my arms are getting fabulously toned. My attitude is, flat out better.....now I am not going to lie and say the urge to punch someone every now and again has gone away totally....I do own a restaurant, but honeslty, I am happier. I am not sure if I was just ready to meet and work with her, but her program stretches my body in a way that works. I love her. To the woman, Sarah S. that said she was ignored...I can't imagine Sara was the instructor, and if she was.....she was probably just so excited after her yoga retreat. I am always so disappointed in people that feel a need to write a review that could hurt a business. My guess is you have no idea what owning a business means, especially in a small town where negative gossip seems to be a pasttime!
