Review Highlights - CorePower Yoga - Hinsdale

I recently moved to Oak Brook Area and started going to Hinsdale location, compared to 3 other locations I have been to, I think this one has the best schedule as far as classes.

I received assessment and "treatment" here for months. I'll address both…read more The assessment of my "nerve health" said I was actually in great shape. After feeling no improvement and turning to medical testing, I have since been diagnosed with nerve myotonia -- I literally have an incurable disease of the nervous system. Measurable nerve hyperexcitability. This was not even suspected in TWP's nerve assessment. As far as treatment, I'd recommend you do your homework on the use of an integrator before you behgin treatment here. they do not employ manual manipulation, none. Perhaps a dozen visits, the only thing touched by hand was my shoes, which I was instructed not to remove. They're also very stringent on multiple visits per week, which would've been fine had I felt any changes. I was told if I couldn't make up the number of visits per week because I could only make it two days a week because of work and childcare, I would have to be treated 3 days a week for more weeks if not months longer. The PT is unsupervised and uncoached. I did an excercise entirely wrong one day to see if anyone noticed. No one did. You monitor yourself. Really felt exploited in the end :(

Chiropractic care and office visits with Dr. Vic and Veronica have been an integral part of my path…read moreof improved wellness and health for about seven months. I decided to add Chiropractic care regularly into my life after a friend (Kristin) suggested that I go in for an initial assessment because of neck and back issues as well as an overall sense of stress, fatigue and low energy. Dr. Vic adjusts my spine using a gentler technique, teaches (based on experience and research) and motivates me to continue the path. Each visit reminds me to keep seeking wellness and health. I am less stressed over all. I am more motivated and focused. I do not doubt that if I put into action his other recommendations I would experience even more wellness. Old habits and behaviors can be changed, and mine are slowly transforming by continuing to stay the course with Dr. Vic and to not give up if I don't do it perfectly. My old habits included not paying attention to what my body needed (such as rest, adjustments, healthier food). I am encouraged by Dr. Vic and Veronica to be more attentive to self-care, to prioritize my health. Because of regular chiropractic care and encouragement, my daily behaviors are shifting (slowly, but shifting) to include better choices in food and self-care, which in turn enhance my chiropractic care. They work together. I want my wellness journey to prioritize holistic approaches to care, and chiropractic has proven to be an important component of the journey. I have also had ear pain (with fluid) and wrist pain come up. Dr. Vic did quick adjustments and recommended easy home care solutions for them. Both worked and are now part of my more holistic medicine cabinet (olive oil and garlic for the ear and exercise for the wrist and fingers). I love that we review my progress over time and discuss the changes occurring. I also like that Dr. Vic and Veronica research, read, write and live out what they teach and offer. I love watching them interact with young families and older clients too. As a registered nurse with a passion for compassionate patient care, I appreciate their authentic and genuine kindness and care of their clients of all ages. I consider them to be part of my wellness family!

I dont really do yoga coz it kinda messes up my knees which ia weird right i know! Anyway, being wifh the animals is such a stress relief and so good for my mental health. I did the Puppy Yoga alone and some friends joined me for Goat Yoga. Everyone was great and they even offer to take pictures for you! Ita 30 mins of yoga and 30 mins of playtime. I think if you havent tried this, you should at least once! I definitely wanna try the outdoor one and the Hiking with the goats next! Happy Exercising!

I didn't think it was fair that one couple seemed to have treats on their towels, so many of the puppies kept going over there. However, the staff and volunteers from Second City Canine Rescue did their best to distribute the puppies so everyone could get equal play. The class time was 30 minutes of yoga and 30 minutes of puppy play. The only suggestion I would have is that perhaps they discourage people from bringing their own treats so more people get to play with the puppies. Maybe it's just me, but I just thought that was a selfish move anyway, to try and get the puppies to stay by one area. If you are looking to relax and enjoy yoga and puppy time, this is definitely a unique experience.

I purchased a Groupon for a service I was genuinely excited about booking after reading many…read morepositive reviews about this spa, two Groupons actually, one intended as a gift. The number listed on Groupon was incorrect, so I had to hunt down the right contact number. I left a voicemail and received no response after waiting for days. I tried to book online, the website was faulty. I sent a detailed email, and again, no response. I finally messaged the spa through Facebook as my last attempt to open any line of communication. When someone called me back shortly after I sent the Facebook message, I was ecstatic, thinking I was about to book my reflexology appointment. As soon as I heard the person on the other end, I noticed that her tone was off. Soon after she began speaking I got the impression that she was annoyed as she was a short with me. The moment she confirmed I had the Groupon, she immediately informed me she was no longer accepting Groupon clients. I believe she said she was "at capacity and only works one day at the location, and she already told Groupon this," then, she dismissed me by directing me to contact Groupon for a refund. I was at a loss for words and disappointed that after all my efforts, I wasn't going to get the service I was looking forward to, and this woman could not care less. I didn't argue, I wasn't rude. Fifty eight seconds, that's how long the call was, not even a full minute of her time. One might speculate I was collateral damage for her annoyance with Groupon. This short interaction lacked professionalism, empathy, and kindness at the lowest level. She presented zero regard for the runaround and my time spent for trying to redeem a voucher I paid for. I was treated as though I was insignificant once she realized I was in the Groupon category of people. Here is what makes this experience especially frustrating: this is someone whose services focus on positivity, balance, and helping others. Yet the energy projected on that call was negative and unkind. Opposite of helpful and healing. The irony is hard to ignore. Every interaction should matter, especially when you are claiming to promote balance and well-being. Kindness, professionalism, and empathy should never be conditional. People rarely remember every word you say to them, but they always remember how you made them feel and how you treated them. It doesn't cost anything to be kind, especially if it's only for fifty eight seconds.
