I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to warrant one. I took Becky Bornstein's Monday 8:30 PM class last week expecting something more grounding and focused, especially for a late-night session. Instead, she talked excessively throughout... not in a way that supported the practice, but constant, unnecessary commentary. My friend and I's initial response after class is "she talks too much nonsense" and left a 2 star review for the very first time in class pass. However, the bigger issue came after I realized I had left two mats by the door. I couldn't reach the studio by phone, so I came back a week later and spoke with her directly. She said she remembered the mats, which made this situation even more frustrating. From there, the interaction felt like a lack of real effort. After explaining what I'm there for, her initial response was asking me if I checked the lockers already, I said no I haven't. I just got there. She had me check the lockers myself first, saying mats sometimes end up there. I opened the locker I last used, it wasn't there of course. After that, I apologized for coming back a week later and explained that I had tried contacting CorePower, but calls just get routed to a central office. Instead of offering a solution, she started agreeing and saying "unfortunately" multiple times, even commenting that she doesn't like that about the company and doesn't understand why there's no direct contact number. Despite that, there was no proactive effort to help. Only after I kept asking what else could be done did she start casually looking around the back office, cabinets, and behind the front desk.. and even then, it felt minimal and delayed. I asked multiple times if there was anyone I could contact. She said she would ask another instructor who was currently in class. I waited, and when that instructor came out, they said they hadn't seen the mats. After that, it was just "unfortunately" again... repeated over and over again. No real follow-up, no urgency, and no meaningful effort to help locate them. This was especially frustrating because she remembered the mats being there after her class, yet showed little accountability or initiative to actually resolve it. At that point, it felt like I was being indirectly told to just accept that they were gone. I even had to point out that mats are expensive, and the response was simply "I understand," without anything behind it. For someone who talks so much during class, it was surprising how little she could offer in a basic customer situation. Remembering that the mats were there but having nothing to say beyond repeating "unfortunately" felt dismissive and, honestly, really frustrating. Between the distracting class and the lack of support afterward, this was a really disappointing experience. read more

The girl next to me had so much perfume on that I had to leave mid class. It burned my nose. Huge bummer. 3 stars because the floors are kind of sticky and you can't contact the studio directly. I really like coming to this studio for the cleanliness and proximity to where I live! Great neighborhood spot to do sun salutations with a little bit more heat and occasionally, some light weights to your regular yoga sessions! It seems that the schedule has changed a bit since I last had a pack of 10 classes, but as far as I can recall, I loved how frequent the schedule for classes are which leaves much room for flexibility and diversity of classes you can take. read more

This CorePower Yoga location is awesome! I'm actually 7 min walking from their Fremont location, but I make it out here on the regular because of the better availability of C2 classes and the awesome instructors. C2 classes follow their same general flow of doing sun salutation A, then sun salutation B, followed by a core work out, then some assortment of balance and peak posture flows, then a cool down sequence. Overall I like the formula, try to come on the regular, and hit up any Core Power Yoga I find when traveling. The neighborhood here is bustling, and this location has a good variety of class times to fit your schedule. Teachers are nice and friendly. The rooms can get a bit hot and humid, so depending on the teacher, it can be on the harder side -- I hit an all time calorie high on my Apple watch in one class. As with other Core Power studios, or any yoga studio for that matter, come prepared, and bring a mat, towel, and water at the very least. Change of clothes is good as well if you have somewhere to be or want to be fresh post workout. They have showers and changing room, but I've never used them so I cant comment on it. If you forgot something, they got you covered, but for a fee. Theres ample amount of street parking, but may take some time to find an open spot. Ive always walked over, so TBA on how much lead time you need to find a spot. There might be some more expensive paid lots to park in too, but thats just more money. Pro tip if you are thinking of driving here, be very cautious of game days. This area can quickly fill up and parking can be crazy. Also, get their app, it'll help you keep up with the latest schedule, any class instructors. I usually check in to class on the walk over, so its a quick check in once i get to the studio. -- Oh yea, be careful of missing a class you sign up for, theres also a fee for that. read more

I love going to the corepower here, but it's impossible to get a hold of a front desk worker for lost items. I think I left my glasses at the corepower and wanted to see if a rep could check but everytime I call it just sends me to the call center in Denver. Now I have to drive across the city to go back because the worker immediately locked the front doors after class. Not a great experience! read more

This is one of the best CorePower Yoga locations in the city because there's a lot of great coffee shops and restaurants nearby, as well as a wonderful grocery store called Guss's. That makes for a great post-workout treat, creating a great overall experience. I particularly enjoy bringing friends to the First Timer Friday classes which I have not seen offered at other locations. I have also usually found the showers at this location to be super clean! read more

Really really enjoyed their early morning yoga sculpt class! It was my first time at CorePower and the instructor was super friendly helping me get situated. She gave me some good pointers and tips for the class which was very helpful. The class itself is great for all levels and was surprisingly full considering it was an early class on a Saturday morning. They also had great amenities post workout. I do recommend bringing a towel and maybe a change of clothes since you sweat a lot throughout the class! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This place has very rude male staff. The person I encountered at the reception/help desk was unpleasant. When I asked to use my gift card against my membership, he was very rude in letting me know that I can't. When I was surprised since no one told us that while buying the gift card from the same studio, he shrugged and did not even want to have a conversation. I don't recommend this studio. read more

Where did 2017 go? between planning my wedding, my sister's, attending 3 other friends' weddings, the constant travels and balancing two jobs, I'm surprised that October is already here and I'm not ready for it. Our bodies have a funny way of saying you need to slow down and take care of yourself. It was telling me the whole year, "I'll let you have your fun and do everything you needed to do, but you're gonna run into some problems and then, you're going to be out of commission." BOOM. Now, I'm on a timeout. (who else hates being on a timeout?) I'm greatly missing the fun of working out. There, I said it. Before, I would go to my core40 classes, power yoga and attend spin class to get some mad cardio here and there, because the main reason was: I'm a FATTIE. It crushes me to come out in the open about that, but yelpers understand what I'm talking about. Corepower Yoga (CPY) offers a variety of classes to cater to type A people (Black Tag membership) , folks who occasionally dabble into the yogi life (5, 10, 20 pack classes without expiration) and those who are curious but need a gentle push or not sure if they want to commit to this studio (free week of trial with any classes!) I'm not a hard core yogini, but I do miss the hot yoga classes when I took Bikram years back then. At CPY, all the classes are heated. The temperatures range from a warm 75 degrees to a toasty 95, you'll feeI the sweat immediately and I love that. The heated classes are beneficial because it helps ease up your muscles, so you can move into the postures a lot easier. Also, when you sweat, you know your fat cells are crying. For absolute newbies, it's recommended to take CPY1 which is the foundation class. Get to know the basics to strengthen your knowledge and apply that to the more advanced CPY2 class. I also like YS or yoga sculpt which combines free weights and ramps up your metabolism with moves like lunges, planks and squats. CPY is new to the neighborhood, they've only hit their six months so the facility is still brand new! They have shower stalls, ample locker space, toiletries like lotion, deodorant and personal items so its convenient to hit up CPY before or after work. The weekends are also more peaceful around the area, but you'll occasionally run into some homeless folks. And if you are a bit conscious of passersby checking you out while you're on downward dog, just move up to the front of the class. I'm excited to be back at CPY as soon as I can, because yoga and Janice go hand in hand like French fries and garlic aioli. Fattie for life. read more

I've been meaning to update this review for a long, long time - and by "update" I mean "downgrade." Hence dragging my feet on said update. I spent the first couple months of this CorePower's existence excusing it for being new and blaming everything on growing pains, but six months in, I could no longer keep making those excuses. Perhaps I was enlightened in a different way than they intended, but I saw the light. (Looks like I'm making terrible puns today, guys. Lo siento.) By that point, almost all of the teachers from when they had opened were gone, new ones were in, and there was just no consistency or stability. Inconsistency was the only constant, actually. Any other place, I'm fine with that, but I came in with that (maybe unfairly) high bar of having been a CPY member in Denver (their corporate savasana, or HQ). There, regardless of which studio I went to (and I frequented 4-5 per month, attending class daily) there was an incredibly strong sense of community between not only other yogis but the instructors. I gave CPY Mission Bay six months..then a year...nothing changed. It feels cold. If all you want to do is practice hot yoga, then by all means come here. But if you want to feel like you matter, and that someone (whether that's a person beside you or the one guiding you) is glad you came, that won't happen. Had I updated this sooner, it would have been a 3, but I'll give them a 4 as I've really enjoyed the outdoor classes at Spark. It made for an awkward start, and I felt very unwelcome. The "one big family" feeling in Denver was 404: not found here. I'm hoping it's just an initial boom, and then things will level off. I also hope CPY Mission Bay will balance class attendance a little better; we definitely had 3-4 more bodies than the studio could comfortably accommodate (people couldn't get into some of the poses). I came here to try out this location, with the free yoga sculpt class led by various yoga-teacher-in-trainings on a Saturday afternoon. I love CorePower yoga community and vibe, so this review is mostly for the studio itself. Pros: - friendly staff, greeted by manager at the door - instructors that come by to fix your holds should opt in at the beginning of class - mats and towels for rental - locker rooms + showers - check in was smooth and fast Cons: - small studio (thought they have 2 rooms) so you can imagine it can get quite full - metered parking, but it's actually not too terrible and affordable (something like 50 cents an hour or something??) - the heat function wasn't working correctly and the studio wasn't as heated as it normally is I don't live in the city, but if I were to choose a studio based in SF I would go to this one -- there are more amenities and space here in comparison to the one in the Marina. read more

They are always ready to charge you because they have your card in the system and they can - 1. they charged me late fee when the teacher didn't make it to the studio. I wouldn't notice if I didn't check my bank account. 2. they charged me towel and water fee when the student before me used it not me. And they only refund to my CorePower Yoga account not my card. 3. they charged me drop-in fee on the last day of my membership and saying that my last day was supposed to be one day before. For all of the above cases, I had to argue with them back and forth several times via email. Though the yoga classes were good, the billing mistakes can definitely be a wast of time. After attending 300+ classes I've decided to put a pause in my unlimited monthly pass at CPY to focus on a different program (distance running and weightlifting). I primarily took their sculpt class for strength and conditioning, and an occasional C2 class to work on my flexibility. I am still a huge fan of CP and highly recommend anyone who is considering taking their classes. I had a wonderful experience this past year at CP. I love the environment, the instructors and the positive feeling vibes I received there. Thank you CP family for your positivity and pushing me to be the best version of myself. Some of my favorite instructors were Emma, Ross, Aimee, and Katty. Minus 1 star because one of the studios never got warm. Also, depending on the instructor, the pace of the sculpt class was a bit too slow for my style. read more

However we were later surprised to see a random no show fee for no reason, even though she attended and interacted with a staff member to sign up for a membership. Worse yet, they make it extremely difficult to get a hold of a person to get the issue corrected. We had to email, chat and call, spending about an hour of effort to get an error corrected which is unacceptable. read more

A bit on the small side for CorePower Yoga in terms of space. I felt like the changing hallway rooms for storage was narrow and squished like sardines. Yoga instructors here are nice and friendly. Hot sculpting is bikram, yoga sculpt is like boot camp cardio, and so I like my CorePower yoga 2 the most because it's the vinyasa flows and more on the meditative side. One practices self-awareness more in that kind of a session if that is what you're looking more for. Namaste. read more

Decently good yoga classes, and I love the yoga studios (could use some extra sweeping though). Core Yoga 1 was good, and challenging just to enough to make me want to push myself a little more in Core Yoga 2 (really liked Brandon!). Core Sculpt was ok - I think I'm not suited for that type of class as I like the traditional yoga type classes, plus I like a lot of demonstration of the moves and not where the instructor calls out the moves and walks around. I was a little intimidated by the name of the Core Yoga Hot Power Fusion class, but it wasn't overly hot in the room and it was challenging for sure. Instructors are young and motivated. They have mats and towels (towels are rather tiny if you're using them for showering purposes) that they charge a nominal fee for, lockers (no lock needed, it opens with a key), showers, and toiletries. I can't afford CorePower Yoga at the moment, but I had a good time trying it out during a Yelp Elite week special and will keep it in mind for the future. Thank you! read more

I have to admit, I am probably the most inflexible person in the world....my 91 year old Asian grandma can touch her toes standing and I can't : ( So, Yoga for me has always been a bit of a challenge because I could never do the poses and have a super type A personality. Naturally, the only types of "relaxation" I like to do when working out tends to be cross-training related. When my girlfriend convinced that that the sculpt/hot yoga class was more intense I decided to give it a whirl. DAMN. I seriously have never sweat that much in my whole life. I guess when you combine the heat with the actual workout you are going to be losing like 3 lbs of water weight when you are done. I also loved the facility and the staff, will be back! read more

Negligent in hygiene After a happy year with the studio, attending 4-6 classes/week, in May'22 I got a severe skin infection... and subsequently discovered that CorePower Yoga does not use professional cleaners. All cleaning is apparently done by teachers and volunteers. My overall isolation combined with the facts that my spouse never got infected and that my infection started at my feet - the feet that are bare in the studio! - pointed to CorePower Yoga. However, learning that they do not see cleaning as their basic responsibility made me think that my horrific experience - I lost nearly a week of billable hours and 3 months later, still have scarring from the blisters that covered my whole body - was not an unfortunate accident but rather the product of willful negligence by a corporation. Like me, many may assume that hot-yoga studios, like gyms and other places where people sweat and shed lots of skin cells, engage commercial cleaning. Learning that CorePower Yoga does no such thing concerned me so deeply that I could barely focus. I suspended my membership and contacted Core Power's regional management for clarification. 3+ months and several follow-ups later, still nothing. I am very sad. I miss the teachers I love. I miss hot yoga. But I simply cannot expose myself and my family to who knows what risks. Neither can I make it okay for CorePower Yoga to rake in fees and pandemic stimulus money - let alone profess to care about our wellness -- while putting our health at risk. I absolutely love that CorePower opened up in my neighborhood. Though it might be a franchise, I do think it offers quality yoga with a good workout. Also, I'm a huge advocate of Sculpt -- you're in for a treat and a sore surprise. The studio is very nice - all with the core amentities -- nice locker rooms, showers, and studios. Everything is very clean and the instructors are very motivational and positive. I also like how the studio size is big. No one likes to be sweating over each other! I like to come in the early mornings when you can lay out your mat with a lot of space in between them. read more

The Universe brought me here. No joking, it REALLY did bring me here. My husband and I had just returned our Turo to a nearby apartment building and had been hemming and hawing over what workout we should do. When you're on vacation it's really easy to skip your workout, especially when you're not completely sure about where a studio or gym is located near you, but I had been secretly wishing all morning for a yoga class. My hubby is not that into yoga, so we half gave up and decided to grab a coffee instead. As we walked towards the location of a coffee cart I spied a girl walking with a yoga matt about 100 feet ahead of us. I quickened my pace and unbeknownst to my husband, we followed her for two blocks. To my immense delight she walked us right to this Corepower Yoga studio! Am I great at manifesting or what?! I laughed and told my husband we'd have to take a class because the Universe could not have set it up more perfectly and the next one was starting in less than three minutes. We signed up, put our things away in a locker and took a challenging 60-minute yoga sculpt class. I practice at Corepower at home, so it was familiar yet different because of the location. It was perfect and just wanted I needed to start my Sunday. The studio is very new with two studios and locker rooms with showers. Our check in was very smooth and the staff is super friendly. Wow! Came here on opening day as soon as they sent out the "WE"RE OPEN! HURRY!" emails...I had signed up for 2 weeks free for the new studio back in December, so I had been anticipating the opening for MONTHS. literally. Really nice and clean studio. I usually go to the Fremont Street CorePower, but that one is always packed like sardines, especially the ones between 5-7pm. The studio we were in was smaller compared to the Fremont studios, but it definitely didn't feel as cramped. Perhaps it's because there were fewer people since it was a Saturday..? Guess I'll find out soon enough. Either way, THIS class was full, but not cramped.. and I LOVED having space to move around. I took the 2pm Corepower 1 class with Cecilia - and she was fantastic! The energy in the room was super positive and relaxing, and the instruction was very well paced. She had demos for the basics and made hands-on adjustments on the students, which I know was much appreciated. I definitely got a good sweat going even though I think it's supposed to be their "least heated" class. I didn't get to poke around the locker rooms and the waiting area as much, since I was a little late. They did have lockers though and locks for us, so that was convenient. Blocks and mats were available for free for the first timers, and available to rent. Would definitely recommend coming a bit early to stake out some space on the floor..and if you're late, they might not let you in because it'll disrupt the flow of the class. (My friend had to figure that one out the hard way..womp) Overall - GREAT class and instructor, clean studio, convenient location in Mission Bay (short 7 min walk from Caltrain).. If you would've asked me to do hot yoga years ago, I'd be like hell. no. I cannot stand hot weather, but surprisingly, I love how CPY makes me feel, even when I'm dripping with sweat. The temperature of the room is usually around 93-95 (it varies depending on the class). I think what makes this much more bearable for me is the time I've been attending classes. I usually go late in the evenings because I can never make it to any other time with my current work schedule. It's usually dark out, meaning no sunlight beaming into the room, but it's still pretty freakin' hot in the room. I can't imagine doing this in the daytime, especially with the huge open glass windows that are at the back of each yoga room. My sister invited me to a two-week free trial with CPY. I've only been 3x so far and have only attended their Yoga Sculpt classes. I love the mixture of yoga/strength which is why I chose that class in particular. On my very first visit, I came about 15 minutes early to fill out all my info and get settled in. Classes are usually on a first come, first serve basis. I didn't really have a problem with snagging a spot on my past few visits. I've never had an issue with the room being too crowded either. I've always had enough space to move around. I love that they provide complimentary locks to lock up your stuff in the locker room. They do provide a free mat/towel for your first visit, but after that they do charge for rentals. They also have showers available for use if you'd like. The bathroom stalls... there's two, but I'm still wondering why they don't have toilet seat covers at all? There's also a water fill station in the lobby. Once you get into the yoga room, you're advised to pick up a light/heavy set of weights and a block to incorporate in the workout. The instructors, or the ones I've had at least, have had good music! Music always keeps me motivated to work out! Anyhoo, the class is usually started off with breathing/stretching. Then comes the sculpting part where you incorporate weights to work out your legs/arms. And then there's core. And then a final cool down to end it all. It's recommended to try out one of the regular core power yoga classes to familiarize yourself with the poses, but I don't think you have to necessarily. I found that even though you don't know what some of the yoga poses are, it is so easy to just follow the people around you! There is metered parking around the area until 10pm. On my first visit, I was surprised to pay $7/hr, but I think it's because there was a special event going on. Read carefully before you park around there. Typically around 6-10pm, the meters are 50 cents/hr which is not bad at all for city parking. Really considering getting a membership after my free trial ends. I highly recommend yoga sculpt if you like incorporating weights into your workout! read more

So I'm torn... The option of class times is phenomenal, with classes running about every 30-45 minutes. I also mostly like the classes. They're challenging and I can feel and see myself getting stronger. But for what you're paying, you're getting horribly ripped off. 1. $28/ drop in class. Too much and not worth it. You could do unlimited black tag membership (unlimited) for $180/ ha also not worth it. Also, black tag members don't get free mat and towel rentals. You have to pay $2 for each item. They have 10 and 20 class passes but I don't know those prices either but I feel they'd also be overpriced but that's just a guess... 2. Their mats are DISGUSTING. DO NOT USE THEM. I made this mistake my first trial week and it was literally falling apart and smelled so badly of BO. I've seen them 'clean' them down... Basically they run the machine over them once and then throw them in a pile. I'm disgusted just writing about them. 3. Towels are small if you rent one. Those are threadbare too. I'm a waist size 26 and it just fits me. 4. But they offer a one week trial on any class you wanna take. No reservations or anything just drop in. That's pretty awesome. 5. But get ready they pack everyone in... They've gotta be breaking a safety violation or fire hazard cuz they pack us in so tight. You can't do a full stretch without hitting someone else, and because everyone's so close, sometimes where mats are butted up right next to each other, it's harder to focus and concentrate on you. 6. Not every instructor is created equal. I'm making a list of instructors at every location to know which ones are worth going back to and which ones to avoid in the future. Best ones here: Grace (she's my fave by just transferred away!! Come back!!!), Harrison, Melinda, and Janine. As for the facilities: A. Locker room is small. Like, you're gonna trip over people trying to find your locker or even an open one. Bring a lock or ask for a lock at the front desk. B. Bring a water for class. You'll need one. I believe you can buy one from the front desk for a $1-2. C. The rooms are heated... Although one of the rooms heaters have been broken for 3 months but they don't drop the price or anything.. what's up with that CPY???? D. Bring shower sandals if you plan to shower here. They have 4 showers and they aren't cleaned regularly. Hair and crap always in the drain and on the walls. Yuck. Girls shed. E. Shower products aren't nice ones like you'd find at Equinox. They're no name brands that strip your hair of their natural oils, so make sure to bring your own stuff. Or shower at home. F. They have two rooms for classes. They 'clean' then between classes but that just means they run a towel over the floor so it's gross when you step in a sweat puddle that wasn't cleaned up. G. Two toilets. No seat covers. read more

Got to try a 2 week trial, which was awesome. Too bad I didn't get to use it to my full advantage! They delayed on opening so I was on vacation the first half of the week. ah well. never tried CPY! location was perfect and super close to work so I just walk right on over. the layout as some mentioned, is a bit small...and rectangular. There's two workout rooms, but they fit....probably 15 ppl..MAX...it's a tight fit guys....its silly too when ppl DON'T scoot forward and hog the middle row... I tried C1- a good sweat and stretch, perfect for a beginner, they go over each position and you can confidently follow along. C2- i brought my male coworkers...it was a funny class...we sweated like no other...much warmer than C1. a little faster in stretches and core work. yoga sculpt- this is the class to take!!! hot yoga with cardio and weights! holy smokes i was dying! it felt so good! no shame i dropped my puny 2-3 lb weights. i couldn't hold them. I was dripping sweat and my eyes burned. AHHHH but it was great. overall the classes were good, but not quite what i was looking for as a monthly gym membership. Especially if i can only attend the noon classes which are only C1 or C2. CPY is great for stretching and eventually doing hand/head stands. some chicks were going all out! I'd be down to do a yoga sculpt class randomly though! everyone is also really friendly! read more

As a Denver native, I was so excited to see CorePower Yoga just a block away from where I ended up living in San Francisco! I've been coming here for about a year and I absolutely love it here. The classes are always great and the teachers are always nice. If I could change anything, it would be to change up the schedule a little bit day to day. Sometimes you just want to go to a C1 class and unfortunately they are always right in the middle of the work day. I also think they would benefit from expanding into the empty space next door if possible. this location is the newest bay area location. the 2 studios are smaller than the other bay area/south bay locations, but have more lockers and 5 womens showers. we visited after a CPY+SparkSocial Yoga X Mimosa event so we were looking for a simple C1 class to cool down before heading home. The evening C1 instructor modified/messed up the usual C1 sequence at the beginning because she had trouble getting the speakers in the studio to connect with her phone. she left us in a couple poses for an unusually long time while she tried to troubleshoot the music and queues were delayed. we ended up having to cut out some cool-down poses because we ran out of time and the close of C1 usually circles back to intention and a thank you to the class, but she forgot to queue us out of savasana and just namaste'd and said thanks quickly and walked out. im used to a very standard cookie cutter C1 class that is taught flawlessly. this one was not flawless by any means. the instructor was presented with challenges along the way, but she swiftly improvised while still trying- as gracefully as possible- to lead the class' C1 practice. she closed abruptly without circling back to intention (maybe she was flustered about the speakers, having to cut out some cool-down stretches, and leaving out some queues?). it was very refreshing to see that things don't always work so smoothly, but her adaptive positive attitude really made me appreciate the beauty of being human. we sometimes hold high expectations for people (especially our leaders and teachers), but forget that they are equally as human as ourselves. she was a great example of grace and adaptability. though class might not have gone as smoothly as she wanted, it was perfect. read more

CorePower Yoga - Mission Bay - Yoga Near Me - San Francisco, California

I have always been a fan of the CPY workout and have visited the Fremont location and the one in Bethesda, MD pretty frequently via Classpass. I am so glad they decided to open up a location in my new developing neighborhood of Mission Bay! Compared to it's sister (older one, this is the newer one) location on Fremont street, this one gives more neighborhood and small community vibes. The studios are smaller, but I also feel like they get less crowded. This one always has tons of safe street parking on the weekends, so it's really easy to get in a chill mood very sculpting it out in their notoriously intense Yoga Sculpt class. I also appreciate that they offer complimentary locks to lock up your stuff in the locker room. I remember the Fremont location locker room being completely chaotic with all the electronic keypad locks being broken. No bueno. In terms of instructors, I have tried Emily's and Grace's and I love both their classes. I like that the workout varies across the instructors so you never get bored and anticipate the next moves (kinda what happened to me and bikram yoga). I definitely recommend trying a CPY workout at this location, you won't regret it. read more

I must say I now have a greater appreciation for hot yoga...at CorePower at least. I'm usually more of a power yoga and vinyasa kind of gal and the warmest yoga I've done prior to this was at Yoga to the People. I tend to push myself deeper, so hot yoga just seemed dangerous for me. That being said, the instructors were good, offering a lot of modifications and depending on the heat level of the class, knew just how much to push us. For the record, sculpt kicked my butt! But it was a good whooping. I definitely recommend hydrating up before classes and take advantage of the week pass before committing. The facility was very clean with stocked bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and laid back. No judgemental vibes here. The one thing that I wasn't a huge fan of were the people walking by watching your asana! The rooms face the street so it can be a slight distraction as people are peering in. read more

I love this studio, it's spacious, clean, and staff are super friendly. I really like the area it is in. My only downfall is that the parking is very hit or miss. In the mornings, it's pretty difficult to get parking, and on certain nights where there are games close by, it is also difficult to find parking. Another thing is that their Sculpt class is never super hot, I think sometimes they can afford to turn it up a bit. But other than that, I love t that it's spacious and clean, that's all I'm looking for when it comes to a hot yoga studio! read more

Here goes my long overdue review for this studio. I was a black tag member for 2 years in Orange County. Was so depressed to cancel my membership last august when I moved here. I also lost my cheap membership rate bc rates vary depending on the cities. But I had to cancel because Fremont was too far for my commute in the city. Anyway, for 6 months I tried class pass, hoping I'd find a studio or a yoga practice I'd like. I went to different studios, different classes and instructors but nothing was comparable to core power. I ended my membership with them and started going to yoga to the people since it was free and classes are similar to what core power offers so I settled for it. Tried going to Fremont location once and parking was so horrible, didn't make it to class and ended up ruining my zen After months of waiting, this location finally opened!!!! But before that's I was stalking their schedule on fb, decided to enter their grand opening contest for 1 free month of yoga + discounted black tag membership rate for life. And the yoga gods answered my prayers and everything in the universe aligned and I won my first contest ever!!! Anyway, I've been a member at this location since then. It's a 5mins drive from my work and I come straight from work. Metered parking is super easy and cheap even on game days. Instructors are great! Staff is friendly! Studio is super clean. Most importantly, it reminded me of my yoga days back in the oc! I tried sculpt here for the first time because it's the only class available after work that fits with my schedule. And it's an amazing workout. Can't believe it took me 2 years to try this class. It's super intense. It's heated and with weights but you'll feel so good afterwards. I do sculpt 3x a week and then 1 class of hot power fusion or c2 on the weekend. Love this place! Namaste, friends! read more

I've been attending CorePower for the last 2.5 years and found myself a CorePower addict. I've never been so fit until I discovered this yoga studio in San Jose. I recently moved here to SF and was really excited that CorePower was only a 5 min walk from our apartment! I mainly attend yoga sculpt classes because it gets you pumped up and works every muscle in your body and intense cardio, or what feels like intense cardio. You are are in a hot room and constantly moving around, doing jumping jacks, mountain climbers, push ups, bicep curls, etc. it's like hot yoga pilates with crossfit. So why the three stars? I'm so use to attending classes in San Jose where every instructor had their own workout routines and they were always mixing things up making the class unpredictable. Each instructor in San Jose kept it fun and exciting. Unfortunately, at this studio, I find a lot of the instructors doing the same routines and workouts. There is no variety in class and it has made my works outs boring and not as enjoyable. I'd rather walk up and down the Embarcadero to get my workout since it's more exciting. Due to this experience, I will be cancelling my membership with CorePower. Time to find more exiting workouts in SF! UPDATE: decided to give Corepower another try since it's so conveniently located near my apartment. There are a few new instructors and new times for yoga sculpt so that's a plus. The yoga sculpt classes I've been taking have been more challenging than boring and all the instructors are incorporating their own routine vs the same old boring routine when I first visited this studio. Thanks to this CorePower's grand opening, I am currently enjoying a two week free unlimited membership. The good thing is that I can use this membership at all CorePower locations and trust me, I've been using it mainly at other locations. But tonight I wanted to do yoga late in the evening and it was too late to make Fremont Street's last class. I figured, what the heck, let's check out this new studio. The instructor for my C2 class, Camille, was excellent. She has a strong yet calming voice and guided us through the practice very clearly. That said, I was underwhelmed by the space itself. Let's start with the locker rooms. It's long and narrow and you have to walk through a row of lockers in order to get to the toilets and showers. I can see it getting crowded right there. There was a good number of lockers but none of them had numbers (what if I can't remember which one I put my stuff in) and you have to bring your own lock. The Fremont Street location has built in locks and I really appreciate not having to purchase and carry another item. Without provided locks, most people left their lockers unlocked, which resulted in others accidentally opening those lockers often. There are only 2 studios (while most other locations have 3). One of the studios seemed normal sized but the one I was in was tiny. It was at least 1/3 smaller than other CorePower locations. Instead of being able to lay out 3 rows of mats, we could only put out 2. Even at 8:45pm, the class was packed and the teacher eventually had to remove her mat to make space for a couple of late arrivals. Even though the Fremont Street location is very popular and crowded, there's also more space overall. The great thing is that there is ample street parking in this area. I parked right in front and the meter ran until 10pm. Luckily, it was only $0.50/hr late in the evening. read more

Very nice Yoga studio! Ample parking nearby on the street and friendly service when coming in. The studio is clean and well lit. Mat and towel rentals are $2 each. Classes are great, I have tried the C1, C2, and Sculpt classes and was satisfied with all of them. Instructors are experienced and upbeat. Of note, the rooms are warm to hot, and you may end up sweating A LOT (especially in the Sculpt class) so bring water and towels. Afterwards, the bathrooms have nice showers to clean up in. So happy this CPY studio has finally opened! Love that it's near my office and was surprised to see that there is ample parking around the area (although metered and may not stay this way once Giants games start). Anyway, I've been waiting for this location to open since December. Meanwhile, I've tried 2 other CPY locations in Seattle during my work trips and this is by far the best one I've been to! The studio is super clean and the rooms are beautiful with floor to ceiling windows that lets in natural light and makes the rooms seem much more spacious. I've tried C2 and Yoga Sculpt and I loved them both! Lacey and Taylor are great. Another thing that really sets CPY aside from other yoga studios is the amazing music. The changing rooms are also clean with lockers, showers, and amenities. Only gripe about the lockers is that they aren't numbered so it's a little difficult sometimes to remember which is yours. Nbd though. I also do wish they would offer a Sculpt class without the heat! It distracts me from my form at times when it's too hot. I signed up for a black tag membership for only $124 per month plus the 2 free weeks - such a good deal. Highly recommend this studio! read more

There are so many good yoga places in the city, and I was really hoping the classes here were up to par. Unfortunately, the classes are expensive yet super crowded. I'm fine paying a little extra for a great yoga studio, but I literally had someone's feet in my face in the class. They over book the classes, I had to be super careful not to be in the way of others, and always had someone in my space. The facilities and teaches are okay, nothing special. read more

I usually go to the Santa Clara one, but I visited this studio with one of my friends. People were extremely friendly, and I love the overall feel of the studio. I like their retail section, which has Lululemon clothes! The yoga studio has windows in the back where you can see San Francisco streets. It has a zen locker room that has everything you need from mouthwash, deodorant, to conditioner. I took the HPF class and it was amazing, as is the Santa Clara studio one as well. I love that all classes have music, and that it has hardwood floors. There is good street meter parking in the area as well. They have various classes: HPF is a fusion of flow and bikram but with music at about 104 degrees. C1- 85 degrees vinyasa flow - set sequence C2- 95 degrees vinyasa flow Sculpt - yoga with weights at 95 degrees read more
