I love Dr Marco. He was my grandpas doctor. My mother has taken me to see him my whole life. He was my Doctor and the nicest guy. I will miss him. Dr Marco is a wonderful Doctor and a genuinely good man. He's always patient and kind and never rushes your visit. He listens carefully to your concerns and thoroughly addresses your issues. Unlike many doctors he takes the time to educate you about your ailment and makes sure that you completely understand the cause, problem and the treatment. Oftentimes he will draw diagrams or show you a model. When brings out the X-rays he invites you to look at them with him so you can see what he sees. You will learn so much from him. He's so knowledgeable. He's also humble enough to tell you when to go to a specialist if it's more than he can handle. Speaking of specialists, he's been practicing medicine so long that he knows the best of the best to send you to. Everyone he refers you to is the head of this or chief of that......seriously. I also want to comment on his staff Jennifer, Christina, Maricella and his new nurse Danika. They all are so helpful and friendly. They will go the extra mile to help you. So if you are looking for a doctor you will be in great hands if you go to him. He truly is amazing. I am 100% sure that you will love him. read more

Came to town and wanted to make an appt with dr. Marco Was sad to find out he retired. Truly one of the best drs out there. Always took the time to listen and I always felt his compassion and true concern for any issues. Haven't found a doctor that even comes close to being as good, compassionate, or thorough.... read more

Dr. Marco is so kind and so caring. He makes you feel at ease, and he takes to time to explain things to you when he gives a diagnosis. For a while now, I've been experiencing various issues that we haven't been able get to the root cause of, but he continues to do tests and x-rays to at least rule some things out. In the meantime, he helps me to manage my symptoms and gives me good advice. Since becoming a patient of Dr. Marco's a few years ago, I've lost over 100 lbs and have been trying to improve other aspects of my health and appearance. Dr. Marco and his staff always comment on my positive changes, and they make suggestions for me when I ask for advice on other things such as dermatology or if I'm looking for a great dentist. Dr. Marco is also the primary care physician of my husband and my in-laws, and we all think very highly of him. I used to be the kind of person who avoided going to the doctor unless I was sure that my options were either go or keel over. Now, I finally don't feel so uncomfortable. I'm happy about that. read more

Dr. Marco is the best family doctor on the planet. Make that the entire universe! I moved from San Diego to New Jersey to Texas to London and to San Francisco, and still called him for advice in the fifteen years that I was away. Now that I'm back, he's the only one I will see. Dr. Marco has an excellent report with his patients. He is friendly, funny and gives them as much time as they need to understand their medical conditions. I have never once walked away from his office wishing I had asked him more questions because he always gave me the opportunity to ask them all. He is also great with kids. And his waiting room has some killer fish tanks! read more

Well Dr. Marco sold out! I have been going to see him for years and loved his care and old school methods. As a firefighter I see a lot of sick people and work with a bunch of guys who know health but when I needed a high level opinion I went to Dr. Marco. Not any more. The last time I went in I was given a mental health questionnaire. This was some quick-made form asking if I ever go depressed, sad, etc. You would have to live in a bubble to say you never got sad! I questioned the form and the assistant said its a new policy. I then spoke to the doctor whom assured me it was totally normal for a medical doctor to ask these questions and that a lot of people need to be on medication and don't know it. I work in the fire department and I see people on those "medications" a lot. Actually, about 33% of our calls our people experiencing side effects to those "medications" I would bet the doctor gets a kick-back from the pharmaceutical companies for everyone he hooks on an anti-depressant. The nerve of this man taking a short course on mental health and then having the right to diagnose someone and prescribe mind altering drugs. I will never go back there and my kids will never go there and i was excited about them getting to to know Dr. Marco when they were older. Not now and I only hope he changes his new policy. read more

I've been here once all year (good thing) and I can honestly say Dr. Marco is the best. So caring and so professional. Extremely informative with his answers. His nurse Maricela is amazing. It's always been difficult to get my blood drawn because my veins are so deep, but she's the first person to get me the first time. Office is very clean and everyone I've had an encounter with has been professional. Highly recommend this place. read more

I love Dr. Marco. He is the best doctor!. He is an elderly gentleman, but his bedside manner, his compassion toward his patients is remarkable. I consider myself so lucky that I found him. He takes all the precautionary tests and takes the time to explain thoroughly the health problem in question. His staff is very polite as well. I hope he doesnt retire soon, because he will be sorely missed. His knowledge is extensive and if he sends you to the ER, he will call the hospital to give them heads up. A remarkable professional and human being. read more

If I were ever a king or president of a country, I would have Corey Marco as my own Royal First Class doctor! :-) I would give him ten stars! Dr. Marco is the best doctor I have ever had in my entire life. He is very patient with me and we always communicate by writing down on the patient's paper sheet because I am deaf. I sometimes bring my own interpreter with me to see him, however it is not necessary because we communicate well and exchange humors. He is the most throughout, honest and well-informative doctor. He cares about me as well as my whole family! His staff is also great and friendly. I feel that we all are very fortunate to have him! (P.S. I have waited to write this review but It is well deserved. My husband and I switched insurance carriers and so I took on the tedious task of finding someone close, that we would also be happy with. Dr. Marco had awesome reviews, so I gave his office a call and set up two appointments. My husband went first and brought our toddler. She was all over the office but his staff was so friendly and easy. They have a fish tank in the waiting room to somewhat occupy busy baby minds. I had my appointment the next week and had to bring my daughter as well. Again, same staff and they recognized her right away. Dr. Marco is friendly and actually takes the time to sit and ask questions as well as listen to your answers. He even checked to see which place could cover a prescription cheaper for me. Also, the wait was only 5 minutes which is a life saver when you have kids. We will definitely be continuing with him as our primary. read more

He is knowledgeable, has a great disposition, and takes time to make certain he understands your health problems and responds with the right diagnosis. I came in a bit early for my appointment (lots of free ample parking) and the person at the front desk was very cordial, friendly, professional, experienced, very helpful, and had me processed for the intake (filling out necessary forms, both on an iPad and paper), and then I provided a urine sample as required. The facilities are modern and up kept well. After payment (they accept insurance, credit card, cash), I went in for vital signs and then prepped to be seen by the doctor for my physical in a private exam room. The nurse or medical assistant that did my vital signs, eye exam, etc. and other preliminary tests was also highly cordial, friendly, professional, experienced, and very helpful. Soon, Dr. Carmen Carneiro came into the exam room and did my thorough and complete DOT physical, and she was super awesome and professional and experienced. She was able to answer any and all medical questions you had as well. After changing and going back to the lobby, I was given the required paperwork and checked out with the front desk. It's been a great and wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend East County Urgent Care for your DOT physicals, if needed, as well as other services. I would definitely be returning here every 2 years (as required for my CDL license). Thank you so much!

Obviously they don't keep records and are fraudulent and trying to double charge patients. I will be reporting them for this attempted theft! ORIGINAL REVIEW: wish I could give this place zero stars. I will be reporting all health care professionals here to the medical board - that's how awful they are. Please STAY AWAY!!! I had gone to a doctor's appointment for a checkup and the physician found 5 lumps in my left breast and 4 lumps in my right one. I ended up making a follow up appointment at this clinic in El Cajon to confirm the other provider's findings and to get imaging done ASAP given my family history of breast cancer. During the appointment, I was seen by a physician assistant (Taylor PA) who INSISTED on NOT doing a breast exam at the appointment despite that being the sole purpose of my going. She did not let me list out of all my symptoms and said that given that my mom's breast cancer diagnosis did not occur until she was 68 that I did not have to worry about cancer until my late 50s !!!! What an IGNORANT healthcare professional!! Then, despite doing a breast exam at my insistence, and confirming MULTIPLE LUMPS in both breasts - she only listed "one" lump for the mammogram and ultrasound. This is just where the nightmare begins. Post appointment, I was told almost daily by the office/clinic that the referral had been put on 7/22 (date of appointment) and had gone to my insurance same day. Given I have several symptoms, I was concerned how slow the process was going. So, I called my insurance on 7/29 only to learn that the clinic had NEVER SENT THE REFERRAL!!! I immediately called and told the clinic who then changed their story and said "oh the internal process takes 7 business days." I was NEVER told this, ever. I was assured it was processed and send since 7/22. I warned them that their delay could result in a later diagnosis for me. Conveniently, within 24 hours they "sent" the referral to my insurance but of course, sent it WRONG. I had to wait another 24 hours to have the referral corrected and then they sent me to a clinic with appointments 2 months away. This is wholly unacceptable. I decided I would not be returning to this clinic, so I tried to cancel the upcoming appointments and I had to call over 5 times to cancel and still the appointments showed up on the portal. The INCOMPETENCE and MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE at this center is no joke. Even if I was dying, I would never return here. To top it all off, when I sent several messages asking about the referral, I was told (in writing) that they had processed it 7/22 (which was a lie) and that no BRCA testing would be ordered for me by the PA. I was also told that if I was in such a "rush" to simply to go the ER. They are HEARTLESS and do not care about any patients. I will be reporting them to every appropriate body I can.
