I've been going to Corey for at least 4 years so this review is long overdue. I found Corey by googling "Asian men's hair" and he appeared on the bottom of the first page. At the time, he was close to where I lived. Since that time, he is now far from where I live and his availability and my work hours on occasion make it difficult to schedule...but he is worth it. Three things make him stand out better to me than any other person that has cut my hair: 1. I usually try to get a haircut every 5 weeks. I can give myself a fade on the sides (or at least, he is kind enough to not give me his real opinion!) But due to life and work, getting a regularly scheduled haircut isn't always the case. However, I feel like I can go a few weeks longer without my hair going native on me. It just keeps its shape. 2. Having straight, black, Asian hair, I've always had to use product to get it to lay down especially on certain mornings. As my hair got longer and more unruly, I would feel like I would have to use more product. Corey's haircuts almost require no need for product in my hair. Sometimes, I just use a leave-in conditioner to hold things in place or I've even just left the house with nothing in my hair on occasion. For me, this is unheard of since 7th grade. 3. I've always characterized the time after a haircut as occurring in 3 phases. The immediate phase when the hair is shortest, the "sweet spot" phase when the haircut looks sharp, and the end when the hair is too long and you need a hair cut. The "sweet spot" is the period where you enjoy the haircut. Where you look in the mirror and gleam at the high and tight fade. Where your hair is manageable and you don't have to think about your hair amongst the myriad of other things you have to worry about in your life. Corey's haircuts have the longest "sweet spot" period out of all the haircuts I've ever had. By far. Other than that, Corey is just a really good dude. He is easy to talk to and time just easily passes between us. read more

Corey Santi Salon is amazing! He's friendly, has an incredible eye for detail, give I have an eye for details. Noticed the small details of him rounding out the hair with my facial features. Tho I asked him to experiment because I enjoy evolving. The new haircut cut will take a bit of time to get used to, yet the style will assist in being confident and adjusting to the style. Over all love the hairstyle. Corey made our conversation enjoyable. I felt completely at ease building a professional relationship with him. While the location is a bit tricky to find and parking can be tight, the overall experience was fantastic. I had a great experience with Corey, I needed a haircut, but was nervous because of my earlier experiences with other hair cutters. I showed him pictures of how I wanted my hair to look, And then I further explained what I wanted. And he did exactly what I asked for! All of my friends tell me that my hair looks great. I agree. I got my haircut previously by a barber in San Francisco for the past 2-3 years (I was commuting from Fremont to SF just to get my haircut as my wife is very selective on who styles my hair and I still want to sweep her off her feet with my good looks) but unfortunately I have stopped using that service because I took a chance on trying something new and came across Corey who leveled up my hairstyle in many ways more than one! Not only did the session exceed my expectations on the finished product, but it served as a therapy session as well haha. I was so caught up in the great conversation that my hair was finished before I knew it & both my head and chest seemed to feel lighter. I booked an appointment online and began texting him about my appointment. I texted him letting him know that I had curly hair, and his response was amazing. Man I could write a book on Corey's heart and passion for what he does and who he is, but I'll focus more on the pure skill this man has.
