I know I can depend on Nancy to cut it exactly as I ask, and now, after so many years, I usually just say "the usual" and she cuts it perfectly. (My hair is short and "no fuss".) Recently, I let it get too long and was in dire need of a haircut. Nancy was on vacation and I couldn't wait another week, so I went to a fancy (expensive) salon in Willow Glen. They gave me one of the worst haircuts I've ever had. I lived with it for a week and then asked Nancy to fix it. She did a great job and it was a relief to be back with someone I trust. Tiffany is great! And reasonably priced. I followed her from the previous salon she worked at. I usually come here for haircuts and she does a great job but be aware it's no frills. She doesn't shampoo or really style your hair after, but I don't mind since I take a shower after anyways to get rid of any hair that got stuck on my skin. I've gone to her for a few hair dyes as well and plan to go in the future or when I am excited for but haven't had time. She's always honest about what she thinks will be best for my face shape (brows) as well as the color and cut of my hair. I really hate to post negative reviews. However, I am extremely tired of spending my hard earned money for sub par service. I went in for a simple trim - no bangs and layer the sides. So! I got bangs and the sides were butchered. One side much shorter than the other. I tried to live with it for three days. However, there was nothing I could do to make it look acceptable. I went back on the fourth day and told them I was unhappy with the cut. With absolutely no regards to customer service, she told me to sit down and she would fix it. I sat there for 15 mins as she kept clipping away. I questioned her many times as to what she was doing and she said she would make it better. Why didn't she do this the first time???? She just kept clipping away. Finally, I got up and walked out. It is better than when I went in (for the second time!!) but still uneven and looking hacked at. My problem is that I went there for a simple trim. I paid $30 + $10 tip for a horrible, horrible job! And when I went back, there was no acknowledgement or apology of a job poorly done. It seemed like no big deal to them that I not only paid for a horrible job but also had to come back to have but another horrible job done. I am in customer service also and would be totally ashamed if I treated my customers like this. So now I have to spend another $30 to have this chop job fixed! What makes this ok? read more
