Instead of the usual taco truck, this is a halal truck, and it shares a parking lot with a 7-Eleven. Funny enough, my buddy and I were on the way to a nearby taco truck, but this one caught our attention and we pivoted.The 7-Eleven wasn't busy, so parking was easy, but it is a small lot. I went up to the menu and saw a bunch of things I expected, like chicken and lamb rice bowls, samosa, and biryani. What I didn't expect to see was lamb quesadillas, tornado fries, and bread pudding. I didn't try any of those surprises, but best believe I will soon. My buddy and I both got a combo rice bowl and then took them to campus nearby to eat. Both bowls were loaded and we were only able to eat half -- shoot, we could've shared one haha. The bowl had a huge bed of rice and tasty chicken, lamb, onions, tomatoes, and plenty of colorful and flavorful sauces were on top. The lamb was my favorite of the meats -- but the chicken had a lovely marinade on it. The burst of flavors with the whole dish was just amazing, whew. Oh, we had samosas with a mint chutney too. They were majority potato -- I'm used to there being more of a balance between them and a couple veggies, but it was still delicious. Yummy flaky exterior. The interesting thing about this truck is that they open at 7:00pm every day except Sunday when they're closed. So it's strictly an evening venture, which I'm not used to seeing for many spots. Looks like they've been around for a couple of months, and I wonder what it was like before the school year was over? And I wonder what it'll be like when the next semester starts? Well I'll be here to find out, and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu.

It was FREEZING this day and they were so kind to bring my food to me in my car. The food smelled heavenly and I ate everything in my car and wow it was so so good. The wings were so good it didn't need any sauce or condiment and they were the perfect size. I generally order the most expensive thing on the menu (food-wise and proportional for 1-2 people). I love seafood, weird food, and more importantly, really good food. Back to the review at hand...So, I order the most expensive thing on the menu: Chicken and Gyro over rice. It was $10. It comes with chick peas (if you want) and a salad in a recyclable clamshell divided container. I asked for no napkins/plasticware seeing as I have those in my office. Let me say that all of the food (save the salad) was cooked very well. It was all very flavorful. The tzatziki sauce is wonderful as was the hot sauce. The meats were bigger than bite size, but not too big, and tender. Really everything about this meal was great including the chick peas and even the salad dressing. I'm even not one for salad dressing usually. The rice was also a good complement to the great flavors of the meat. I would recommend going to this food truck if you see it. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely return here if I see that yellow Royal Chicken & Gyro truck again.
