Review: Corfinio in Easton Please bear with me ask this may be a bit lengthy. I live in town and have eaten at this restaurant on many occasion's. Tonight though, was a beyond exceptional experience beginning to end. I took my son's girlfriend out for a girls night dinner. We were greeted by our waitress Caitlyn and ordered a pre dinner cocktail. I had the elderberry martini but swapped the vodka for gin and it was great. She had an espresso martini which she loved. We were trying to decide between 2 apps and our waitress Caitlyn offered to do 1/2 and 1/2 split which I never knew was an option. We thoroughly enjoyed our split appetizers of the brussel sprouts and artichokes. Our entrees were absolutely out of this world. She went with the gnocchi with bolognese and I had the cavatelli di fungi and added scallops which is how this dish should be offered to begin with because it was so exceptional. All perfectly cooked and delicious. We were looking for a specific bottle of wine that they did not carry but our waitress made a recommendation of an inexpensive bottle ($30) but assured us that it was very good. She could have taken the opportunity to recommend a much more expensive bottle as I am used to spending closer to 45 or 50 but instead told us about this lesser expensive bottle that really was as good as the pricier counterparts. She also told us about another wine she thought we would enjoy and brought us free sample glasses without us asking. We loved the bottle she recommended and we're thrilled to save a few dollars. We decided that since we were already eating our weight in food tonight, we may as well go all out and order coffee and dessert at this point. I had the creme brulee and she ordered the cannolis. They have a pastry chef who makes everything from scratch each day and you can absolutely tell these desserts were fresh. If we were only looking for a dessert and not dinner, I would go back to this restaurant in a heart beat just for the fresh treats we enjoyed. Coffee and dessert were phenomenal. At this point we were at the end of our night and so happy with the entire experience that I asked to speak with the manager Matt who is new there (2 mos). I explained to him that I called him over to compliment not only the meal but the exceptional service we received tonight. We had a brief but lovely conversation with him and he went on his way. When the check arrived, we realized he comped our desserts! I never expected to have anything comped. We just wanted him to know that we really had a great experience at this restaurant that we frequently visit. I waved him over to thank him for the free desserts and he was so kind and told us that he just appreciated being able to give us something for free because we were so kind in giving such a lovely compliment to the restaurant as well as the staff. This is the type of management and service that all restaurants should provide (and we had an amazing meal as well). I would highly recommend you give them a try. If you have been there in the past and were disappointed, they are under new management and I saw a noticeable difference in our dining experience tonight. I personally have always enjoyed their food but the food and service are both greatly improved from before. read more

Fabulous wine selection! Great service! Food was ok. Didn't care for the marinara sauce, and was extremely disappointed about an $18. charge to slice & serve a birthday cake I brought in. Extremely slow at lunchtime. However, I didn't feel well later. Service was great though.

Had lunch at this beautiful restaurant yesterday. There are so few restaurants left in the Easton Brockton area for lunch in a pleasant atmosphere complimented by tasteful fare, for those of us who work in the Stonehill surround. This one has it all. The owners gutted the space which was previously occupied by a fish restaurant, with marginal food and tired decor. In its place is a gleaming space with wonderful food. I had a stuffed artichoke which was offered as an appetizer special but more than enough for lunch. The flavors were amazing. The bread which is always the thermometer of a good restaurant, was delicious and complimented by high quality olive oil and sides of red pepper, Parmesan and miscellaneous herbs. The atmosphere was conducive to conversation as the way the room was constructed, it was quiet. Service was as good as the food. The restaurant is a year old but has not been promoted so this was my first venture but certainly not my last. read more

Everything about our evening was 5 star. The four of us had short ribs, pasta with bolognese and salmon. Everyone really enjoyed their entrees and we had exceptional service from server Tabatha. We had one minor disappointment which we expressed to Tabatha and the manager quickly came to our table and very graciously solved the disappointment. This is now our favorite restaurant! read more

Too bad for the negative reviews of this place. We really enjoyed our night last night. Food was awesome, atmosphere was great and we didn't feel rushed out. We actually didn't have one bad meal here and the beer selection is great. The service was so nice as well! It was an overall pleasant experience and we encourage everyone to try it in the neighborhood. Just a tip, if there isn't any seats available on open table, give them a call and they might be able to accommodate you. That's what we did and it worked ! Earlier this evening we ordered take-out, which we frequently do from either Corfinio's or it's sister restaurant Cibo Matto in Mansfield. My order was placed thru Toast for $145, including a 20% gratuity, with a pickup time of 5:22 PM. I arrived precisely at 5:22 even though I had not received the text from Toast that my order was ready. The Hostess checked and told me "it will just be ONE MORE MINUTE". I paid particular attention as to what orders were already sitting out on the shelf for pickup because this is the 3rd time that my order was not ready when it should have been according to Toast. After waiting another 10 minutes, I returned to the Desk and told the Hostess that the ONE MORE MINUTE was now 10 minutes. She went to check on it and came back and said, they are just waiting for the pizza. Five minutes later she went back to the take-out orders grabbed a bag that had been sitting there since 5:22 when I walked in, grabbed the pizza box and headed my way. She apologized for the delay, which was very nice of her yet I told her "can you imagine what the rest of the food is going to taste like after sitting on the counter for more than 15 minutes? I left and as I was friving home my cell had a call from Corfinios. I didn't answer because I was very upset and then when I got home it rang again with a voice mail this time. The VM informed tme that they forgot to include the salad in the bag so please come back to pick it up. Seriously??? Needless to say the food was as I suspected it would be, cold to the touch. The noodles that come with the $31 Veal Milanese was coagulated as it had lost all of its heat as was the veal. The kid's meatball and spaghetti, while not coagulated, was cold as was the salmon for the Kale Salad. The pizza, however was warm. The missing salad was intended for the Veal Milanese was of course back at Corfinio's sitting on the counter. I guess this is one of those three strikes and you're out. Too many great options in Easton and and the west side of Brockton to risk another horrible experience at Corfinio's. read more

Great place for vegetarian Italian food. The Olive oil ricotta Pizza was the best dish I have had in a while. The place is cosy and has great decor for fine dining. Nice family joint and has a wide choice in menu. Service was prompt and courteous. Loved it. read more

Ok! So the food was pretty decent, and the appetizers were good; the price is pretty outrageous. My wife warned me the atmosphere was loud - meaning people talking loud before we dined, and she was right. I think the acoustics of the place just make it really loud inside. Wanted to check out this place for a while now so stopped in for an early dinner. The restaurant itself has a very nice atmosphere. Casual and stylish but with a bit of an upscale vibe. A nice open kitchen where you can watch the cooks do their thing. Staff was friendly and approachable. My waitress was very pleasant but never introduced herself, which is a pet peeve of mine. Unfortunately, the promise that the space hints at is somewhat let down by the food. I started off with 6 oysters on the half shell with a prosecco and pomegranate granita. The oysters were unpleasantly large and was only able to force down two of the six before giving up. I then had the mushroom soup with creme fraiche. The soup had very little visual appeal but was okay in flavor. Finally I ordered the Agnolotti with wild boar. The pasta itself was quite good, unfortunately it was overpowered by an incredibly salty sauce! Couldn't even get halfway through this before giving up. Can't really recommend. There are better options out there. read more

Made a reservation (which doesn't allow to choose outdoor seating which is fine). Asked to sit outside when we arrived. Then they sat us in front of the insurance business next door on the sidewalk for some reason (there were 2 open tables in their patio which are actually designed for outdoor seating at Corfinios). The sidewalk was so crooked that my drink would spill if I set it down on the table. There were spiderwebs everywhere and a sizable amount of ants feasting on the ground below. We were disgusted and decided to take our food to go. The server asked if I wanted to speak to the manager and I politely declined. The server had him come over anyway and the manager wanted me to show him what was wrong with the table. This was not going to go well. If he didn't know this was a bad place to sit I'm not going to change his mind. Pics speak for themselves. I chose to point out the ants and he said "ants live outside". I walked away embarrassed for him. If you want a $63 for a steak with a view of parking barriers and insects Corfinios is the place for you. read more

Was visiting the area to entertain a group of 7 people for a pre Christmas dinner and Corfino was recommended by a local associate. It was a fantastic experience. We ordered several appetizers such as the Arancini - rice balls, fried artichokes and an Amalia Pizza and several salads. Main courses such as the the cod, Cavatelli Tartufo e Fungi and Gnocchi with Crabmeat where incredible. The service was near perfect and even with a large party the wait staff where very attentive without being intrusive. My guests were impressed. I believe the quality and value are great and won't hesitate to come back when I'm in the area next time. read more

I have been to Corfinio several times and have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food is outstanding. So I was delighted when I saw short ribs on the menu. Short ribs are my favorite. However, recently restaurants have been pulling the dirty trick of claiming they serve short ribs and actually serving Chuck roast. I asked the server if the short ribs had a bone in them, because short ribs have bones. She assure me they did, but they didn't. It was the stringy Chuck roast, albeit well prepared and very tasty. I don't mind paying $32 for short ribs. I do mind paying $32 for pot roast. Especially since I specifically asked. read more

I really wanted to like this place especially since my Mr. did research and asked around to find this place! He got raving reviews and was super excited to take me! I was super excited to try this place out! Unfortunately, it was not good. Pasta was bland.. literally as if no seasoning has been added. I enjoy my pasta al dente.. but this was a la ROCK hard and cold! I had the feeling they didn't run the pasta through hot water before serving. Overall, it was a sad experience. I got engaged here the beginning of July, so I couldn't fairly write a review bc I wasn't really paying attention to the food. So we gave it another try with friends last weekend. The food was excellent! As well as the service. The Brussel sprouts are delicious. I had the seared tuna which was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. My fiancé had steak which was also cooked perfectly and very tender. We shared the tiramisu. I am not a big fan of it in general but it was so good I kept eating more. Drinks were just as good as the food. Definitely a south shore gem! read more

Came here when it just opened and it was good. We decided to try it again after few years and it's still as busy as it was in the beginning! Very impressive! Loved every dish and apps we've ordered. Everything was fresh and tasted really good. We got the Calamari and Burrata to start and both were excellent. I've had their blood orange mule(I think that's what it was called) and it was delish! We were honestly full by the time our entrees came but everything looked appetizing. We ordered the bolognese, risotto, and the herbed dusted cod. No complains on any of those. Best part was having left overs for the next day! If you're wondering, I do not work for them or affiliated of some sort. I just loved this place from the first time we tried it. Oh geeez. Been here in the past and it was great but it has been awhile. This last time was disgusting. So disgusting. I got the monk fish and it was covered in so much hot sauce that you couldn't taste anything else and my whole face was on fire, even though the waitress said the dish had a slight heat. And my friend got the special stuffed lobster. They didn't even have the first two items on the menu that we wanted so the waitress pushed my friend to get the lobster. And it was around $75 and soooo not worth it. I tried it and it was absolutely gross. The lobster was a jello consistency (major yuck!) and the stuffing was super salty and inedible. (No joke. My friend couldn't even eat it.) Not to mention it was a LOT of stuffing to make it look bigger than it should. I guess that's why they charged so much for it. Why the extra star? Hey, at least our cocktail drinks were great. Not coming here again for awhile. Hopefully when I go back down the line, they figure out how to cook. read more

Alas, my love affair with Corfinio is over. I have been to Corfinio many times, but on the last occasion, it was shoddy to say the least. Initially I had headed out to have Sunday brunch elsewhere, but they were too busy and were not accepting any one else on that day. So, we went to Corfinio, and much to my chagrin, it was a complete disaster. It was 2 P.M. and the restaurant was mostly empty, it wasn't busy at all. The hostess seated us at a table and never gave us any napkins nor silverware. We sat for a while without menus either. The server finally came by, and brought us stale, dry cheese for the olive oil cheese dip. When I put the grated, parmigiano reggiano cheese in the olive oil it just sat there like bits of pebbles. When our server came back, I told her our cheese was stale. She took it away, and brought us grated cheese that one would put on a hot pasta dish. I could clearly see that she was flustered and I didn't want to make her uncomfortable. I followed our server with my eyes as she approached the manager, who then headed to our table. She asked me if everything was "all right". I told her how the cheese was too hard, and how our server brought us grated cheese and not cheese for the olive oil dip. She apologized and began to take our orders for lunch. Before she left, I said to her would it be possible to have some hot tea. To which she responded, "I can only do one thing at a time"! Now, I didn't expect her to hop over and bring my lunch and tea at that instant: I just simply wanted some tea when she had a chance. We had been sitting there for a while with just water, and our server never bothered to ask if we wanted anything other than water to drink. I made sure that my tone of voice was not demanding. I was quite pleasant considering that they did everything wrong from beginning to end: No napkins, no silverware, no menus, and a server that was very discombobulated. Once the manager said that to me, I lost my appetite and couldn't stay there anymore. I got up from my table and headed to the hostess podium, and I informed the manager that my party would be leaving. I will not be returning to Corfinio. It saddens me a lot because I truly enjoyed it there all the other times. A note to the management: If you are insolent to the customers, they're not going to patronize your establishment. Would you want someone to say to you- "I can only do one thing at a time", when you know full well that any one of us can only do one thing at a time. read more

Great pizza - amazing staff Just a note of joy and compliments for the Corfinio kitchen and staff. My husband and I are ADDICTED to the pizzas this summer - and I highly recommend adding Corfinio's sausage and mushrooms to both the Pepperoni pizza and the Amalia pizza. AMAZING! read more

The atmosphere is great and the waitstaff is super friendly. The bread with the oil is fantastic. Now to the not so good. My son got chicken fingers and fries from the kids menu. It's not really a kid friendly menu. The chicken fingers were lightly breaded and had too much seasoning for a child to enjoy. Same with the French fries. In fact everything I ordered had too much black pepper. Which I love but there was way too much. My cabonara was overwhelmed with black pepper and the sauce was extremely bland. The chicken they added had a great grilled flavor but not really suiting for the dish. Overall I was disappointed at 42 dollars for chicken tenders and a carbonara that was ok at best. Too bad because the space looks great and shows some real potential. read more

We just finished our New Years Eve dinner at Corfinios. Our waitress Patricia was AWESOME!!! Per usual the food was hot, delicious and all we expected and more.
