The management doesnt really understand what it's like to order bottles to be delivered. I was told 2xs it was on the way. Only to find out. Nothing came. Gave them the benefit for a 1x mistake. Just this FRIDAY I wanted a bottle delivered as a gift. Embarrassed that my birthday friend got nothing on his special day. Now calling 24 hours later. I've been a customer at Cork and Bottle for several years - and it is one of the best liquor stores in the city. The staff is super knowledgable about wines & spirits and very friendly - they have a big selection of wine organized by country and region (French, Italian, California, organic, etc) as well as a good selection of liquor for any budget (I'm a bourbon fan and they have a great variety). Also hands down the BEST prices in the area (I've shopped around). They offer delivery which is convenient and very fast. This place is an absolute gem. read more

This is not a good wine store - I don't think any thought is put into their offerings. I would much prefer a store with fewer offerings that have been chosen and tasted by the owners (try First and Vine at 60th and 1st, or In Vino Veritas at 74th and 1st). i like this booze shop on 1st ave between 63rd and 64th st upper east side. whenever i call to ask about a wine or other type of booze these guy's steer me in the right direction and at a fair price. it's a nice size place with wall to wall with assorted booze with front to back stands with many types of spirits. prices are fair and the back area has the section with the discounted wines and spirits, plenty of 2 for 10 bucks of a variety of ok wines ,maybe not the greatest but for the price you really can't bitch and moan. friendly helpful staff with a clean organized set up. they do deliver to the area but i prefer walking over to pick up and get suggestions .i do prefer places that you can walk around and see all the different selections without be rushed or bothered and cork n bottle is the right place to visit. read more

This is a good local store. There is a pretty large selection and they offer a whole back section of deals like 2 for $10 or 2 for $20 bottles of wine. If you're looking for someone to give you advice on what to buy for a special occasion this may not be the spot to go to. They have friendly staff but they don't seem to be experts. That being said this is my go to store because they have a large selection and decent prices you just have to be a do-it-yourself kind of person :) read more

Tasters schmasters! If a wine store carries the wines you know and love, why do the store owners need to be tasters? They have what I like and at good prices for the neighborhood and are very polite. I visit at least once a week and I am glad they are closeby! If they don't offer what you are looking for, ask them to carry it, could it hurt? read more

I would give this place no stars if that were an option. I placed a delivery order and they messed up my address and I waited over 1 hour. I called to complain and the manager did not want to help me at all. Not only did he not want to help me but he canceled the order. Their are a ton of liquor stores that care about customer service but this is not one of them. Avoid at all cost!!!! read more
