My partner and I are regular customers at your San Leandro location and really appreciate having a local wine shop in the neighborhood. We love supporting your business and want to share some feedback that we hope will be helpful. We've had a few visits recently, typically when we stop by on Sunday afternoons around 1pm, where we didn't receive the level of service we've come to expect from a specialty wine shop. When we've asked for recommendations or information about specific wines, we've been told "I don't know" without any offer to help us find answers. When looking for particular varietals, we've been pointed toward general areas of the store rather than being shown specific options. Even when asking about the wine tasting day was responded with a lackluster disinterested response. As wine enthusiasts who genuinely want to learn and make purchases, we find ourselves leaving without buying as much as we'd intended, or sometimes leaving altogether to shop elsewhere. We know this isn't the experience you want for your customers, and we really want to continue supporting you. Offerings: wines organized by place of origin, large selection of hazy beers, small selection of artisan spirits behind counter. Buys: Caterina Imperial Stout (12 0z., 10%alc, 9.50) -living haus beer co. Really packs a punch. Buzz worthy! one drink = 6 buds.. Incredible Pale ale(henhouse. 6.9%alc, 4.80) -legit IPA, hoppy with a smooth finish. -mosaic hops key with cascade, hallertau, blanc, Velma & simcoe hops in a supporting role. Dauntless Double IPA (Oak. United, 8.8% alc, 5.40) -bolder IPA body, slight bitterness from Cenennial, Idaho7, HBC 586 hops. On draught: -not disappointed with any of these brews. -not a fan of hazy beers which are trending now. -quick, courteous service when I brought beers to counter. read more

I came in on a Monday afternoon and the lady was so helpful with helping me choose what beer and wine to choose for a family occasion. They had a great collection from craft beers to wine. I really loved the packaging of all the craft beers. They also have tequila, mixers and seltzers. Amazing craft beer store (not a wine person so I can't speak to that). The clerks have been helpful and kind every time I've stopped in. Such a great selection of everything I love and my favorite breweries: original pattern, ghost town, and laughing monk. With a good selection of IPA, hazy/NE style, pilsners, stouts, porters - recalling from memory but I think they also have more unique things like the reds/browns/gose/farmhouse/etc. I don't think I've walked out of here with anything less than 3 packs the half dozen times visiting. I've lived down the street from this store my whole life, and have seen it go through a few owners and transitions. I can say I've never seen it look so elegant, and chic! I've honestly haven't seen any liquor store look so fancy. They have a good selection of wine and beer. I like how they set up their wine displays by region. If you're getting into wine that makes it pretty helpful! If you are looking for something in particular I'm sure they'd be able to get it. They will also be doing tasting that I am excited for, and will definitely be attending. read more

Great little craft beer and wine shop! Always fresh dates!! ( I have bought too many craft beers from other shops only to realize they are old and out of date ew!) People who work there are very friendly and always ready to help or suggest. When I was pregnant I obviously wasn't drinking, and they carry delicious no alcohol beverages as well. read more

Great little shop. Have found a variety of spirits, RTDs, and beers I ended up purchasing and it has a small, but respectable selection of wines. Staff has been helpful without being pushy. Put in a special order with Michelle and received a call saying the product was ready to purchase in a shorter timeframe than expected. read more

I love going into this store. I always get good recommendations but above all they have a wonderful Pinotage. A wine from my misspent youth in South Africa from a stunning region known for Pinotage, Stellenbosch. This one conjures up the flavors from my memory and is a very good wine to go with the ubiquitous South African braai (BBQ). Lamb is also delicious with this hearty wine and I am delighted to have this store in my neighborhood with their knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great part of our community. That other chap who was such a downer can go to the Cooler place for his Pino. I'll go here. I also got a splendid Belguim beer. Another blast from my past! read more
