Food and drinks are cheap here compared to most gaming facilities. Corkys' is clean and full of friendly/helpful staff. I love the old school arcade games. Mortal Kombat is one of my favorites to play here. I came in with a group of 4 and had a blast in the Jack the Ripper Escape room. It was very challenging but a lot of fun. After that we did axe throwing. I wasn't so good at first but in 75 minutes there was room for improvement. It's football season and they have all games playing on the various tvs they have hanging on the walls. I highly recommend this place for all ages. I found this place online for a spur-of-the-moment date. I was pretty excited when I saw the classic arcade games list so it gave me high hopes. My date and I just wanted to have some drinks and play games so this review is based on those two things. We were sent to the bar to get our game cards and drinks, the bartender clearly hated his job and wouldn't even speak when I asked him what drink specials they had that night. He just rudely tapped on a laminated list of wines sitting on the bar and asked "What else?". After paying we proceeded to the games to see what all they had, sadly most of the games were either out of order or defective in some way. Some games didn't have any sounds, others had blurry or darkened screens. House of the dead 4 only had one functioning gun, luckily Time Crisis 2 and The Simpsons were the saving grace of the night. For the most part, this place was pretty underwhelming, oh and if you list having Mortal Kombat on your website you should probably have it in your arcade as well. Axe throwing, escape room, classic arcade games and libations. Corkys provides enter for a fun evening. I didn't realize Axe throwing would be so much fun. At $30/pp an hr, the sport is expensive but definitely worth it. Arcade games are reasonably priced at $8 for 4 hrs. Good variety of booze. I did not try any food only reason I deducted one star. First time here and was excited to check the place out. Nobody was very welcoming coming in so if it's your first time coming in you don't really know what to do. We ordered food and for the price it was not good and way too salty. The guy who brought our food out didn't even know what Au Jus sauce was that we needed for our French dip. So if you're going just for the gaming with friends it's a cool place. I would not go for the food. read more

This place was so much fun! Axe throwing, Escape Rooms, vintage arcade games are just the start. The staff was extremely friendly and the selection of beers were on point! My wife and I ate a lot of good food too. I highly suggest the fried pickle spears and the Corky's burger. Ask for bacon on the burger... you won't be disappointed. This place is more for adults and we really enjoyed that aspect. We also did the Alcatraz escape room and it was really difficult, but not impossible. We are planning on doing all the escape rooms and will be back many more times. read more

This place has a lot of potential, but our visit today wasn't great, and given it was a Sunday afternoon and there weren't many folks there, I think that's a sign. First, there are 10-15 axe throwing lanes. There was a group on the farthest two lanes, and I came in with my brother, son, and two nieces. We were told we'd have to wait for an hour for a Lane "because a big party made a reservation and might be coming." We were shocked we had to wait since so many lanes were open and there was NO ONE there. We played in the arcade while we waited. Lots of fun older games that brought back memories for my brother and I. Your game card is by time, not by money. Once we finally got called to our axe throwing lane, we learned my 9 year old niece wasn't allowed to throw axes, you have to be 11. She's thrown axes before, at Bad Axe Throwing, so she was really disappointed she couldn't. Also, that big party that made a reservation and "might be coming" never showed. We ordered drinks from the bar and the bartenders were nice. We didn't order much food, just chips and queso and it was fine. All in all, we were disappointed and it's a bummer bc this place could be really great. read more

We went there for a day date. Was empty so we got a spot for axe throwing right away. It's was a lot of fun and our instructor was a blast. Unfortunately I forgot his name. But he was new and only been there for 2 days. But he had plenty of knowledge of showing us how to launch those things. When it's slow you kind of have all the instructors giving you their opinions and advice which was kind of a turn off for us. We just wanted to have fun not try out for to be a pro it felt like. Only reason for 3 stars. I'm sure when it's busier that won't happen. I would come back just not when it's slow to run into that problem. Good drinks as well. read more

We came here for our friend's birthday and it's a great place for olderish kids and adult birthdays/gatherings or if you have a group with mixed ages. The arcade is awesome and had old school games and pinball machines, all well maintained and properly functioning. My experience with old school arcades is usually several machines could be down but that's not the case here. Our smaller kids (ages4+) could still play games by pulling up a chair and liked the various racing games. Axe throwing (for 11 and older) - there's a 'coach' that guides your group through the various games and helps correct your throwing technique, it would be nice to have the option to not have the host if you've done axe throwing before but it's helpful if you have a big group to keep things moving along. We didn't get to try the food but the pizza seemed to be the most popular item. There's also an escape room we'll have to check out next time. Very attentive staff and friendly. The manager even gave the kids a free gaming card which they were very happy to have. There's also Ladies Nights on Weds w half priced wine and axe throwing which we'll be returning for. I was asked to organize a team building event for my company with just a bit of notice. I reached out to Charla at Corky's having worked with her in the past. She made arrangements for our private group event flawlessly simple. Food was filling and tastier than expected, old school arcade games were a huge hit with the entire team (we're not as good as we once were!) and we discovered a few axe-perts along the way! Drinks were a highlight for our long day, and the potency did not disappoint. We planned for 2-3 drink tickets per person and that was plenty! And perhaps most importantly, the staff was incredible! I noticed pretty readily that every staff member was careful to make eye contact and welcome us to Corky's. It was old school hospitality at it's finest. Both instructors assigned to us were extremely knowledgeable and took safety seriously. In a couple of throws, doubters were turned to believers! I hate to leave bad reviews but this one deserves it. We have been looking forward to going to Corkys for Axe throwing and playing arcade games with the kids so we decided to give it a try on New Years Eve with the family. Online it allowed us to book Axe throwing at 5:00 pm for 75 min play. So based on that we figured we would have 75 mins. From the minute we walked in all the employees made it extremely clear they closed at 6:00 pm making us feel uncomfortable for showing up at 4:30pm. Well we decided to stay and give it a try and when it was our turn for Ax throwing our group was split up into 2 bays mixed with other people which btw would never equal out to 75 min play time as advertised online and receipt. I asked my husband to find out more details since it was extremely confusing since it was our first time there and no one cares to explain how anything works. so my husband went to the help desk to ask why we couldn't have our own area and why we had to play with 6 other strangers and the lady rudely said thats why it says public area and if we want our own we have to buy the whole bay out despite 2 bays being completely empty. Also it does not state that anywhere online that we would have to share the same area with a bunch of strangers throwing axes (yikes). They reluctantly refunded our purchase. I have to say I am extremely disappointed with Corkys and would never recommend to anyone. The food was awful the service was horrible and they made us feel really uncomfortable from the moment we walked in. If I could rate this place a zero I would. Oh and to add more detail we tried calling before we went to get more details on time how it works etc and it was impossible getting a hold of a live person. Maybe if someone answered the phone we could avoid the bad review and horrible visit we had. read more

Well, from the moment I saw a short video on FB about Corky's Gaming Bistro with axe throwing, I wanted to give it a try. My family went today (Sunday). The place is very nice, but there were very few people around lunchtime. Seemed strange that this place wasn't just buzzing with weekend family fun seekers. We ordered our food at the bar (reasonable prices), then I asked about axe throwing. The price was $29.00 PER PERSON for 75 min (or 1 hr 15 min)!! Wow! I told the lady that seemed pretty expensive and she nicely said "We are cheaper than the other place that offers axe throwing". Well, axe throwing was now off the table. It seems to me that Corky's needs varied pricing & time limits. Not many people want to throw an axe for 75 straight minutes. Maybe $15 for 35 min or $45 a lane for 4 players for 45 min. Ultimately we only saw two people throwing axes in the two hours we were there with multiple lanes empty. What a waste! There were two plaid shirt employees throwing axes more than customers.....another waste of company money. It also seemed like safety could be an issue. There are tables set very close to the throwing area. Any accidental backward toss could result in injury or worse. I actually overheard one of the employees telling a customer a story about an axe coming out of his hand and going straight up. Probably shouldn't be saying that. Needless to say, my group of 5 didn't spend $150 to throw an axe, which was the whole reason we came to Corky's. I'll throw my own in my backyard for free. The food was pretty good other than my wife's chicken tacos being cold. It was slightly unprofessional to have the bartender/order taker/cashier person eating her pizza at the register. We did do an Escape Room with our group. It was fun, but our room master was almost too helpful at times. We seemed to get clues that we didn't ask for that almost felt like we were being helped just to get us out quicker. Whether it takes an hour or 30 minutes to complete, our money has already been paid, so the quicker we are out....the faster the room master can do something else. My family likes the challenge of Escape Rooms and we kinda pride ourselves on NOT using the clues. We still had nearly 15 min left with 2 clues remaining, yet the room master really just GAVE us the last clue without us asking. I was a bit disappointed. Probably the most disturbing thing was when we were leaving, my wife and my son's fiancé saw a tall bearded male employee wearing a T-shirt that said "Save A Horse, Ride A Beard". While we are not the Puritans of early America, that shirt is kinda offensive and sexually suggestive in its own way. Definitely NOT a T-shirt to wear in a family environment on Sunday afternoon. My son and his fiancé had actually checked into having a combined Bachelor/Bachelorette party at Corky's, but after today, I think they have changed their mind. I'm really bummed, because we truly wanted to love this place, but it fell short. By the very sparse amount of people there today, I think others may feel the same. This place should be hopping all day, everyday, but it wasn't. We won't be back......sorry Corky's. read more

First time visit on Saturday after Corky's was recommended to us. Had reservations for 6 of us for axe throwing. We had a great adventure. Just was a little awkward when we got there. Got there about noon. Three of us got there first. We walked around the place. Several employees milling around, prepping for the day but NOT A SINGLE ONE spoke to us. A guy in a purple shirt cane from the back about 10 minute and finally spoke to us, checked us in. Then we waited our turn. No one really explained the process, the place or anything. Like you need to order food at the bar. Or that the $10 arcade card is good for "one hour of play". Literally, once you buy it, play for an hour, don't buy of you are waiting for your other event to start, you will lose most of its value. Lastly, our "ax-pert" was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. But with 8 of us throwing (we were paired with a couple we didn't know), and our time limit being only 75 minutes, the length of instructions and such I think we only got about 45 minutes of throwing. Corky's sucks! They close at 1am on Friday's but you can't even eat, throw axes or do the escape room. If you don't come before 11pm, you're basically out of luck and can only play arcade games. I don't think I'll be back to this place. You really can't even do anything. What's the point in being open up 1am & no one can do anything. The liquor also sucks too. read more

Really cant find any reason to rate less than 5 stars. The food was not bad at all. We had the Gameday Platter consisting of Sliders, Hot dogs and fries... tasted as expected. We only did the Arcade side. All pinball machines are new, fast and exciting. All arcade games are classics. A joy to play the older classics. Clean well maintained facility. Friendly staff. We called ahead with 10 people ordered food and drinks and then were told we couldn't throw axes because they didn't have someone to supervise use while there were 2 employees and 2 managers just standing around. We were told we should come back on the weekend even though the place was completely empty. Been to Corkey's twice. The first time my boyfriend, roommate and I went to just see how we liked it and ended up doing everything there is to do there. The second time was for my boyfriends birthday and we threw axes. Everyone who went loved it and all would love to go back.
