Our party of 8 came here for the Nuclear escape room and each paid about $16.70 each. Our Game Master was Sarah and from the beginning, she was very informative & helpful in explaining how the room works, what the rules are, and what your objective is for the room. The escape room itself is a very healthy challenge. You get to go through multiple rooms searching for clues and piecing everything together to ultimately save Texas!! I really enjoyed the puzzles as did the others in my party. You also get a radio to talk to your Game Master for clues in case you get stuck. Again, Sarah was great in giving us helpful hints that didn't give the entire puzzle away. We completed the puzzle with 5min left on the clock. Very fun, healthy challenge, and a cool experience with friends. Would highly recommend an experience here! :) PROS: - very helpful and informative Game Masters - clues are helpful but do not give the puzzles away - the rooms are multi-layered and have plenty of challenging and fun puzzles - lots of open parking out front. Pros Puzzle Difficulty Cleanliness Social Interaction Cons Customer Service Management Policy Enforcement I attempted to take on the last of four rooms at this location on 8/25/18 my birthday. However, we were unable to due to several circumstances. Both Samantha and Emily, two game masters working on this night at 8:40PM were confrontational, showed a lack of customer service, and the lowest form of professionalism, all while violating their own company policies. Due to traffic from the Sam Rayburn tollway, the group attending the escape room with me fell behind by 10 minutes. Upon entering we were told that the previous group had been waiting for nearly 15 minutes and had now entered the room. **Policy States** There is a 15 minute grace period before the game or booking is cancelled. However, from their explanations, the other patrons had already been allowed in the room for 10 minutes, verifying that no such grace period was given. It also meant that the group should have been informed of the 15 minute wait period and that at a minimum the game should have not started until 8:45. Our group also did not receive a courtesy call to check on our status. Instead we were told that we could only reschedule for a later date. The game masters were not only argumentative, but told us specifically "I have to go start a game," and left our group in the front in the least professional manner. I have attached a copy of the policy provided to us and will be escalating this incident to higher management for this location and any others associated with it. I am sorely disappointed in this particular room and I have completed several of these throughout the metroplex and outside of the state. I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS LOCATION. read more

I went to Escape Rooms HQ in January with my family. My daughter (14) had received a groupon for Christmas, and decided to bring along her brother (10) myself and a friend. All this to say that the experience was good for all ages; we did the Code\ Back Slash room. We interacted, laughed, and were even frightened together J  Ashley was our girl that day, and she gave us clues and helped us to win with 20 sec to spare.   Last week, when I was tasked with setting up a group/ Team building outing with my coworkers, Escape Rooms HQ came to mind.  I sent an email on a Monday (they are closed on Mondays) and I received an unexpected response within 15 minutes.  Albert was so kind and allowed me to ask all of my questions. He even informed me that they had an event room on site. My group decided to have lunch brought in and we just paid a small fee to have use of their event room.   Once we arrived the staff and owners of ERHQ were ready to go. We were instructed to sign our waivers.  T-shirts were handed out and then the instructions were given. We had two groups.. so half did the Code\ Back Slash room and the other half did the Nuclear Shuttle. Both groups had a great time. The facility is clean and nice.  We ate in the conference room... we forgot to bring in drinks, and the staff saved the day and took care of us (Thank You). We didn't even have to clean up.   The staff will go above and beyond, and we were thrilled with the experience. I will continue to use Escape Rooms HQ and I will recommend them to anyone who is looking to have a memorable bonding experience.   The folks here are still talking about what they could have done differently yesterday to have escaped ;) read more

We had So. Much. Fun. It was a very cute date night. Challenging but fun. We did the intermediate level. First time.

Our team did the Interrogation room and loved the puzzles involved! Lots of creativity and observational skills were required, but the best part: no logic puzzles- which almost everyone hates. The one issue we had though, was that mid-game our team did figure out the bonus puzzle for the free voucher, but there was nothing inside the Cryptex. I wish we had proof and took a picture of the open lock, but it's our fault for not resolving the issue before leaving. So if your team also opens the Cryptex, make sure you get your voucher before you depart! read more

This was such a fun family experience. We had the room all to ourself so we felt very safe playing during the pandemic. The workers Kai and Brianna were great hosts and gave hints that helped but didn't spoil the game. The rooms were well put together and had places to wash hands before and after. The clues were easy clue that you don't really think about when you get in the room! You kinda just overthink everything! My friend and I found a Groupon and went with our kid's. It was a lot of fun, and we're planning on going again. It's fun for all ages. I had never been and didn't know what to expect. You don't have to do each room in any order, you can choose which ones to enter first and you can go back as many times as the time you pay for allows it. I like that the employees were nice and helpful when we needed help, but they were not intrusive, they left us alone to enjoy the place. We love this place! read more

One of the better rooms we've done in DFW. Lots of fun props and technology that made things pop open, but I got frustrated a few times with puzzles there was no way we would ever figure out. Honestly the best escape room I have ever been to. Compared to others in the Dallas area this one takes the prize for originality, use of technology, and customer rapport. I've been to my fair share of escape rooms, even a few in India, and this is the first one I enjoyed enough to come back to again and again. We got a chance to talk to the owners while waiting and they are awesome! This is a project they've been working on for a while and you can tell it's been well thought out unlike other escape rooms. The few escape rooms I've been to in the Dallas area have had very shoddy construction and elements of their puzzles are things I've seen repeated over and over again. All of their rooms are also composed of more than one physical room and require you to open doors to complete the puzzles. Escape Room HQ has an arsenal of original puzzles with tech aspects I've never seen used before (one puzzle required the use of pressure sensors!). Can't wait to come back and looking forward to seeing the new rooms they open up. read more

[Open Challenge] Zero Dark 30 PRO (13 minutes remaining) - Escape Room HQ #1 Best Time Nuclear Shuttle PRO (12 minutes remaining) - Escape Room HQ #2 Best Time Beat it. For each room, you have the option of amateur (3 clues plus nudges when they see you get stuck) or pro (3 clues upon request). I was definitely impressed by the engineering of the rooms. There were a few lock mechanisms that I had never seen before which made the room that much more fun to play. We also geeked out on some, wondering how it was done - luckily, the owner was more than happy to explain the mechanism to us after the fact. He was also tickled pink that my analytical friends and I were asking for clues on things in front of our nose but completely destroyed the hard puzzles. We actually left the owner awestruck after Nuclear Shuttle...and he was curious to see how we would do in Zero Dark 30 which was one of the hardest rooms and usually requires at least 5 people...needless to say, he was dumbfounded when our group of 3 beat the previous best by 10 minutes and and we also cracked the cryptex (..."little miss san francisco said it") which won my resident friends a couple free games. Our experience with Escape Rooms HQ was definitely one of the best escape games so far. Customer satisfaction is a huge priority for the company and you can see it time and time again. We became an instant team. Our host gave us great directions and we previewed a video prior to entering the room. We were given a walkie talkie and were able to ask questions throughout the game. This was a great team building experience. Politicians should consider this type of activity. The facility's location was convenient and we were greeted as soon as we entered. 0-Dark 30: We took my brother and sister-in-law to their first real escape room (does the one under my stairs count?). It was a few way to spend the evening with them and everyone had something to contribute towards us getting out in the end. Sadly, we didn't solve their extra bonus puzzle to win a free game, but the challenge here was great and love how much things tied together to get the final solution. Theme:Overall, this was pretty neat, but there were a few things that we didn't know how they fit in (even though it made things more fun). Quality:This was put together very well, and we only had issues in one area where we didn't follow instructions well... Difficulty:This was pretty typical for difficulty, with enough challenge to keep up on our feet the whole time. My boyfriend and I had a lot of fun trying the Observation room. We were close, but unfortunately the time ran out before we solved the room. It was a different experience being able to go back into previous rooms to solve new puzzles. The last escape room I tried was structured so that once you cleared a room you were done with the room. I think having all the rooms in use made it more challenging which was fun. It is definitely one of the fastest hours you will spend. Sacha, our game master, was awesome. We chose normal mode, so we got unlimited hints if we needed them. You can choose normal (unlimited hints) or competitive (3 hints max), so you can choose how much outside help you and your group gets. She helped us along if we were on the right track but were still stuck. The room had a broken component, and she came in to make sure we had the correct configuration before opening it for us and to confirm that the component was in fact broken. Overall, we would do this again and bring a bigger group of our friends to see if we can complete whichever room we try next. read more

Out of the ten escape rooms I've done so far, this was one of the best experiences I've had so far. The staff was the friendliest and more knowledgeable I've ever met. Not just the knowledge about their rooms, but about a lot of escape rooms in the DFW area. They legitimately loved what they do and had a great passion about it. Something that small makes a huge difference for the customers' experience. They provide a regular game mode (infinite clues for the hour) or leaderboard mode (3 clues for the hour) where you can win a free game if you have the fastest time. We did leaderboard mode and only needed one clue to escape, but we were not fast enough to claim the top spot. It was just two of us that booked the Code Back Slash room. When we arrived, the game master recommended we do the O-Dark 30 based on our escape room experience. We made the change, and I'm glad we did. It was very creative, none of the puzzles were impossible to solve, and the theme was done very well. Overall, this was a fantastic escape room experience. It won't be too long before I book another room here and at their other location. read more

I would have given 5 stars, however, YOU MUST COOL OFF THE ROOMS!!! 10 people in a 12X12 room under pressure is already heat inducing! But, there is ZERO air flow!!! I had a really terrible experience booking this room and wasn't actually able to go to the room to try it out because of that. The "owner" of the business that answered the phone was completely unhelpful and almost ruined our night out. We were offered no help, but instead put off onto groupon to deal with the booking problem which wasn't their fault. Groupon was very helpful but Escape Rooms HQ was not. The owner would have rather had us lose out on our money spent instead of offering any viable solution to our problem. We were looking forward to playing a couple of the rooms based off of their descriptions and the other reviews but unfortunately we were forced to take our business elsewhere. read more

This was a last minute activity for my friends and I after brunch. I was so glad they are flexible enough to fit us in and they have a Groupon (yesss!). The staff here are very welcoming and pumped us up for a great time. They gave us the Zero Dark 30 room. I've only done one other Escape Room and this room was way harder. My family came her for my niece's birthday party with 4 adults and 4 teenage girls. We did the Nuclear Shuttle which was pretty cool. Bryce was super helpful with all the clues, he even showed us how to finish the puzzles we didn't get to in the end. The one that really stumped us was the chess puzzle but I think the table was a little wonky. Still had a great time. This is one of the coolest Escape Rooms I have ever done! We did the Nuclear one and it was so cool! I can't give specifics on our challenge so as not to ruin it, but I will say that it was very well done and there were lots of cool elements. I did an escape room with my family, 8 of us total, and there was plenty for everyone to do. Everyone got to participate and it was full of different types of clues and obstacles, which was awesome because then every person had a different point of view to bring and it wasn't just super easy for only one type of person. There was one clue that was "off" and the game master contacted us to help us out so we wouldn't suffer from "their" small flaw. Skylar was our game master and we liked her a lot. It was also cool to have an extra challenge within the room for someone to solve, which gave us the opportunity to win a free game in the future! We did not solve that, but we had fun trying. The staff was cool and funny, and the location was easy to find. We will be back to try out a different room! PRO TIP: Use a groupon for this to make it more affordable! read more

My escapist friends and I have done many escape rooms and this one is near the top. We tackled the Nuclear shuttle and escaped! The room was a lot of fun. It had great flow and laid out well. We really enjoyed the cool electronic gadgets used throughout the game. We also stayed long enough to have a friendly competition between the boys and girls. We went head to head in the crime scene. Eli is the "evil" mind behind these totally tricky rooms, and he was very friendly, professional and helpful. We did the nuclear escape room as a group of 8 for an hour. The flashlight and black lights provided were very low on batteries. We entered all the rooms and asked for a few hints. We would never have figured out how to deactivate the nuclear Needless to say we did not succeed and died. It was definitely challenging. read more
