LOVE this place!!! The food is good, the margaritas are pretty good and reasonably priced. Not to mention, they are pretty strong! You're able to load your card for either an hour or four hours, the difference is only about two bucks so I recommend you purchasing four hours because time flies!! They have a lot of 90's arcade games such as pac man, mortal kombat, pinball, Area 51, & mba jam. On the other side of the room they have axe throwing which looks fun, however that side was busy and I did not get to that. You are able to reserve a time for that online though. I highly recommend doing that if you're going to go for axe throwing. They have various escape rooms that usually start every 30-1hr so getting into one shouldn't be a problem. Totally kid friendly, however they do have a curfew depending on the ages. Check online! This place is a lot of fun & totally worth the $$. Came here for a team building activity and thought the place was really cool with tasty drinks especially the mocktails. I could not get the folks in my group to leave until the place was being closed. I would definitely have more events here. The only reason why they didn't get 5 stars is because they did not have many options for none meat eaters. But everything look really good food wise. About our fourth time here and service has only gotten worse since last time. Definitely don't come here for the food or dining service. We needed to clean off our own table and am currently sitting next to two tables piled high with dishes waiting for bus service. I ordered the brisket tacos with chips. Tacos were dry and tiny. Chips were stale. Server nonchalantly handed off the food without a word or question of how we were or could use anything else. Normally this is fine since your really coming here for the games and some drinks. The mixed drinks aren't that well made, so far... and as far as the games go; it was amazing to start but you can see now and experience the wear and tear. Buttons not working, joysticks slow to respond, ect. Wonder if maintenance is being regularly done. My interest in this place was extremely high in the beginning but it is starting to degrade with each visit. I hope things get better, I don't plan on waisting much more time or money here. This is such a neat idea! So I wanted to throw my husband a 30th birthday party and wanted to do something other than the typical outing. I discovered Corkys through Yelp and brought the hubby here. We did 75 minutes of Axe throwing. Our " Axe pert" was very personable and was able to teach us very quickly techniques and best practices for how to throw an axe. Soooooo.... overall its a fun place but needs to be bigger. Pros: good food, something different Cons: over priced, the spot reservation is misleading. We did the 75 min axe throwing. Dont get me wrong it was fun but their main goal is to fill as many spots as possible and just have everyone take rurns throwing. In a big group in 75 mins your not going to get alot of throws and they charge $29 PER PERSON!!!!? for as few times i was able to throw, that ecperience was maybe worth $15. Now had it just been me and my fiance then sure that price seems fair. The escape rooms are all booked in advance so theres usually no luck of jumping in on one while you are there. The arcade was cool lots of classic games from 90's and 2000's. It would be a much better time if the axe throwing was more personal and affordable, a bigger arcade with some updated games, cheaper food and beer, more escape rooms that are fast oaced for those that are there waiting for their reservation. read more

A little underwhelmed with Corky's Gaming Bistro. I came here for an Axe Throwing birthday party for one of my friends. The prices were a little steep, $29 for 75 minutes, so we just decided to hang out and watch everyone enjoy themselves. It worked for the best, because you can only have 10 people throwing and she invited 20 people. She definitely should have checked that out beforehand so that was not on Corky's at all. We thought about doing the arcade area, but it was $10 pp for 4 hours. They had a handful of arcades, but I didn't see anything that was worth spending the money on since the arcade was basically full. It takes up about 1/4 of the space inside and had a pretty full crowd. The food that everyone ordered looked pretty greasy so we stayed away from it. However, they had food that probably wouldn't have been greasy, but that is what our friends ordered. They also have a full bar and beers on tap which I thought was really great. I also was thankful they have a lot of TV's cause we were able to watch football all afternoon. Knowing that this place is so far away, I am not sure I would make the trip. It definitely fits the price point of the people that live in this area, but I was just not impressed with how little of each thing there is to do. There was probably only 4 lanes of the Axe throwing. I think it would definitely be somewhere you would have to call and make sure you have reservations since the space does not seem to alter for large groups that did not plan. read more

We just used Corky's for our Christmas party to celebrate our staff. They were absolutely fantastic! Very polite, professional, and everyone had a great time. Charla coordinated all the details beforehand seamlessly, and Brad helped us at the event explaining the order of events for the evening. Our food buffet was kept hot and replenished for us. Just wanted to start off by saying my husband and I had an AMAZING time! Our Axepert was Jazmin, she was amazing and so nice! We ordered the Rhino Spears, funnel cake fries, sliders, and the Babe the Ox burger. EVERYTHING TASTED SO GOOD! I literally did a happy dance with how amazing the funnel cake fries were! Dustin was awesome, explaining the concept and how everything worked. Unfortunately not all of the arcade games were available to play, but totally understandable because they were abiding by the health and safety standards for covid-19. The entire building was SO clean, everyone was following the standards and social distancing as well. I HIGHLY recommend coming by! We are from out of town and hosted a casual meetup with 40 people at Corky's earlier this month. We had about 20 people do axe-throwing and the rest of us hung out to get food, drinks, and mingle. The staff were amazing and super easy to work with. I made reservations for the axe-throwing from out of state and their booking system made it super easy for my friends to pay for their own share. The food and drinks were also fantastic! We will definitely be stopping by again the next time we visit Dallas! My only suggestion is that we wish you could stay open for longer! If you enjoy doing your own thing do not go here. I've visited other axe throwing and entertainment areas and this one is unfortunately my least favorite. We asked for a lane to ourselves to get the full time and not be crowded, but they could not accommodate due to the need of a babysitter in each lane while you or your group throws. They had numerous lanes open, but we still had to pack in 10 people into one area and play what they told us to play. Many of us wanted to just throw axes, but we had to throw when they said we could and pick up axes when told. Needless to say they are overpriced, thieves of joy, and too serious for a gaming place. I've been to adult gaming places, but not where there was Axe Throwing! This is a really neat place! There are tables and chairs in front of the axe throwing to check it out even though you may not participate. As I could tell (because I did not participate), you get a guide that helps you through the axe throwing. Food I had was: cheese and pepperoni pizza, BBQ and buffalo wings, and fries. The pizza was good, but my favorite was the BBQ wings. They were very flavorful and fresh. I also thought the fries were seasoned well. My drink selection was wine in a can. This was pretty cool since you're basically carrying your drink around while playing games. It was called "Jo on the Go" Pinot Gris. Pretty classy given the conditions. There aren't a lot of games like the others I have been to, but there are the famous arcade games like Pacman, Mortal Kobmat, Simpsons, shooting and driving games also. The real attraction is the axe throwing. I will definitely be back to try that! I think it was pretty pricey, but I really don't have anything to compare I to since I've never done it. Most of the time they try to lump groups together (like 6-8 people per bay, I think), but we lucked out and had the instructor all to ourselves. Great little place. They have some cool video games, pinball a bar and serve food. We did the Axe throwing and it was a blast. You have a instructor there with you at all times to keep you safe. My husband and I decided to check Corky's out on Sunday, because my friend told me about it. The first thing that was awesome-they had coupons for their Escape Rooms! That was the first day we had ever done one. When we showed up, we were about an hour before the Escape Room, so we decided to eat. We were pretty pumped to try the food, but it was only okay...it honestly felt like I was almost eating Bowling Alley sort of food, which is understandable. I just think that for them to really take off and achiever the highest potential for business, they should fix some of the food. We had the pork tacos, which were super flavorful, but the salsa was not. It tasted like nail polish remover was in there. We also got some fries to share, which came out really cold, and some mac and cheese, which was okay..I probably won't eat there again, but their beer and cocktail options are awesome! I plan on trying those next time. We did the Alcatraz Escape Room! It was super fun, but they had a technical difficulty at the very end because one of the puzzles was not opening the door, even though we did have it correct at one time. Other than that, it was still a LOT of fun! Lastly, the arcade game options are fantastic. They have SO many pinball machines, tons of classic arcade games, and, lastly, GUITAR HERO! So cool! I'm not the type of guy that does reviews, but I had such an amazing experience I just had to make a yelp and say a few things. I came in because I heard about them through the grapevine and I wanted to try something knew with my buddies. These guys had some of my favorite old school games. I couldn't believe how cheap it was. 4 hours for 8 dollars!! That is insane ! You can't beat that anywhere. My friends talked me into doing an escape room right, so we ended up doing hopeless. Sure enough it was challenging, however our game master Luis was so helpful. When we thought we were stuck he gave us little nudges that gave us a good sense of direction. He was very engaging and made us laugh throughout the experience. If you do an escape room ask for him. Let's talk about the food. The menu was very simple. Same stuff you would find at a bowling alley, arcade, and so on. However it didn't taste greasy or bland. Most entertainment food sits like a rock, but they're food was very good for the price and left me satisfied. Came here for a Yelp event and I am glad I got to experienced it. Walking in, it was nice and opened. To the right, there's axe throwing, the back wall is where the bar and escape room is at and to the left is where the games are at. It was a bunch of old school, retro games which I love. My favorite part was the pinball machines. It brought back so many good memories of when I use to play all the time and caught myself at spending most of my time stuck on the pinball machine. I observed people throwing axe and they seem to be having a great time. I didn't take the risk of throwing because knowing me, the axe will fly behind me. We were served with him pizza, wings and fries. Im getting over a fever so my taste buds are not on point but even then so, the food was fresh, nice and hot... just a bit salty for me but it could be because my taste bud is off. Bruhhhhh. What an absolute gem of a find. We were in the DFW area a few weeks ago for a work conference. As we were planning our short trip out, we stumbled upon Corky's on Yelp and figured we had to give it a try. Booked a reservation, for what ended up being an incredibly rainy Texas day. A minor hiccup on their end ended up pushing our reservation by an hour, but they offered to fix it (and we declined). I'm glad we ended up waiting, as the party we ended up joining was a hoot & a half. Our axe guide (Kyle? sorry, goldfish moment) was patient and polite and absolutely awesome with getting us locked in on what method works best for us. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and courteous. The food is served in monstrous portions and we definitely ordered with our eyes. That sampler plate though, you must try!
