    3lbs crawfish

Food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Food came out fast and hot. Their seafood gumbo was also fantastic too.

FYI- this spot is NOT taking COVID precautions!! Went on a Thursday night and it was PACKED with no social distancing, no mask enforcement, no divisions between parties. Saw the situation and immediately opted for take out. The crawfish were 6.99/lb and it was delish, even hot after the 20min drive back to eat them. Additional charge for extra corn and potatoes! It was super speedy, received our food within 10 minutes of ordering. 4 stars for the food, 2 stars for the lack of care for CDC recommendations and COVID precautions. :(

A complete dive with pretty good food. I probably ordered the wrong thing but wanted a taste of everything so I went with the Cormier Bowl. This consists of: jambalaya, red beans, pulled pork, and coleslaw in like a kind of kfc style bowl. Pulled pork - outstanding. Jambalaya - fantastic. Coleslaw - delicious and refreshing away from the heaviness of everything else but I might want all of these items separated from each other instead of piled together but that's a matter of preference. The jambalaya was probably one of my favorite things here. I think the rest of the family got po boys or gumbo and the crawfish etoufee which sounded tempting. It's a mostly eat out doors kind of spot with large picnic tables and a smoker and the bathrooms out back outside. I heard they sell turkeys for thanksgiving which I guess my sister did this year. Definitely a no frills delicious food spot worth checking out in the area.

First ate here over 20 years ago and it's as good today as it was then. The crawfish are seasoned perfectly and the service is outstanding. My server was Destiny and she takes pride not only in her work but in sharing the story of how this little place got started. For a complete review please check out my latest video on our YouTube channel. You can actually meet Destiny and some of the satisfied customers! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBz9NsyEEwc

Came in from out of town for work and was told we had to come here. The food was amazing and the service was great as well. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Perfectly seasoned crawfish with potatoes and corn to match. This place was so good I went twice the same week during my travels to Monroe. I highly recommend Cormier's

My favorite place for crawfish. Some places compare in taste but no one compares in the quality. I hardly get any dead crawfish and they're HUGE. The service is awesome and my husband loved the po boy.

    Crawfish season

I'm guessing there aren't too many out-of-towners that venture into Cormier's. We are likely the minority. Meanwhile, in town for a ULM football game we looked for the most local Cajun we could find and ended up here, twice. The first time we came for the blue crabs, which they unfortunately sold out by 7pm and we left and went somewhere else. However, the second time, we decided to dive into the regular menu and enjoyed it. The third time it was crawfish season and we left thrilled. What surprised us the most was the prices. For the quality of food that's delivered here, the prices are superb, almost too cheap to believe. If you've been to a Pappadeaux or Copeland's, expect to shave those prices in half and get better food. Cormier's is quality Cajun without a high price tag. But, don't expect white tablecloth service, either. Sure, there's friendly, helpful waitresses, but here you can eat with the locals, eat local food and enjoy a laid back atmosphere on picnic tables in the sweltering heat (or on a cold winter day!) What could be better, right? Still, the prices pave the way for a great lunch or dinner with the entire family, without having to shovel too much cash. And, they do a great job at delivering good Po-Boys, gumbo, crawfish etouffee and other Cajun dishes. If you want casual and flavor, you'll come here. The rundown: Gumbo: Much soupier than many are used to, but wonderful flavor and fresh ingredients. Crawfish etoufee: Again, very soupy, but super fresh crawfish and a tasty homemade roux. Crawfish: Excellent! Tremendous flavor. Perfectly cooked. Some of the best I've ever had. Boudin: Not my favorite, but for what it is they do a darn good job. Shrimp: Taste like they are netted out of the Gulf and delivered to your table.

Upon entering, I found the interior decor to be rather average and understated but do not let that fool you for a single moment. It is absolutely magnificent, providing the most glorious backdrop that would be utterly perfect for an elegant evening out, a romantic date, or a refined family gathering. While the setting isn't overly fancy, the natural beauty of the river paired with the immense warmth of the staff makes it incredibly special. To commence our meal, I opted for a classic, perfectly chilled Martini, while my partner ordered the Watermelon Breeze both were thoroughly refreshing. As we sat chatting and taking in the scenery, we ordered the Shrimp and Grits along with a side of hush puppies. When the cuisine arrived, it was an absolute triumph. Service, atmosphere, waterfront view: all on point…read more Here's what we ordered: Appetizer: STUFFED MUSHROOMS. They were very dry. As if they were sitting under a heat lamp or forgotten in the oven. Flavor of the crab was good, though I think I would have rather had a majority of the cheese on the bottom, mixing with the juices from the mushroom and crab instead of heavily coating the top like a crispy crust. Entrees: SHRIMP RAHKEE. Saw so many good reviews for this. I was underwhelmed and disappointed. The whole thing lacked flavor. I had to shake a generous amount of salt on top and it was still lacking flavor. Shrimp were large and juicy, they just needed more flavor. Sauce was thin, could have been thicker and more complex. All of it was just bland. I ordered this over pasta which was cooked perfectly al dente. For my sides, I got the STUFFED POTATO and ASPARAGUS. Stuffed potato was nothing to write home about-- it also tasted as if it was sitting under a heat lamp or left in the oven a bit too long; flavor wasn't bad, though.. Asparagus was asparagus. Would have preferred a nice crusty bread like a French Bread over the Texas Toast. Not terrible, but not great. My teenager ate up my shrimp. My teenager ordeeed the SHRIMP SALAD. He said "it is what it is." Nothing super special but he didn't really have any complaints. My husband ordered the PORK CHOPS with ASPARAGUS and STEAMED VEGGIES. He really Enjoyed the pork chops and shared a bite with me, which was delicious-- cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. His steamed veggies were dry and asparagus was asparagus. My youngest ordered a KIDS CHEESEBURGER. Unfortunately, much like many places serving a kids cheeseburger-- it was pretty basic. My youngest had a few bites and wasn't interested in finishing it. This is served with chips. I should mention that all of the entrees looked visually tasty and we really wanted to like them. Maybe we were just there on an off night. Our server and everyone working there was very nice and attentive. The owner gave us a hearty smile and good bye. Service itself earned half the rating for me. View of the water was really nice, though I probably won't be back if I find myself in Monroe again.

Must ask for extra :-) They have like eight different sauces for dipping. For our entrée we had Catfish Orleans. Oh my gosh, we chose fried catfish filets, instead of blackened baked, served over rice, topped with crawfish étouffée, and hand-battered shrimp. So delicious. I will be ordering that again.
