It's unfortunate that this truck has only 3 stars average, we need more reviews. I highly recommend their carndawgs. They are excellent. Tried them at the Riverton Chevrolet Car Show. They were serving hundreds, yes the line was rather long, but they got swamped from the get-go. Regardless, the corndogs are excellent. The batter has a nice flavor and crispness. If I wasn't so full from having the tacos from the other truck, I would have gone back for seconds. Excellent corndog, I highly recommend you try them out. My husband and I were at Metal Mart and when we drove in the parking lot he said "let's hurry so I don't want a corn dog." When we came back outside I noticed the sign said "free on us" so that was the clincher. We each got a corn dog, curly fries, and a drink. My husband said "This is the best corn dog I've had since I was a kid!!!" I thought it was super delicious and I've never really had a freshly made corn dog. The staff was super kind and I feel bad we didn't have cash to leave a tip. The breading was amazing!! And the dog was so big, I couldn't finish mine, but I'm saving it for tomorrow. I checked out the prices I could see on the truck and decided for the size of the dog they were very reasonable. If I see them again I'm definitely going to enjoy another dog!!​ read more

It tastes like a donut with a hotdog in the middle. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I can't decide... I was gonna give it 3 stars because of this feeling but my kids love it and pressured me to add a star . I don't consider myself a corndog connoisseur, but I know tasty food when I, er, taste it. This is a decent corndog, good size and nice flavor (slightly sweet breading, which I thought paired nicely with the savory hot dog in the center.) They are slightly thicker than the corn dogs you may get at that other place in the mall. The wait wasn't bad-less than ten minutes overall. But it also wasn't crowded. What an absolute money maker this food truck could be! My family was invited to the splash summit waterpark on a Tuesday night late in June. It was super crowded at the park. We decided to try corndog commander. We got in line and there were four people in front of us needing to order. The two folks in the truck were just painfully slow. It took us almost 20 minutes before we put our order in, and another 15 minutes more before we received our order. If this food truck used any efficiency expert, they would have made twice as much money that night. Or at least workers with, "fast hands". I'm sure if the Cook put in as many hotdogs as he could, things would have gone much faster. The food was fair, but quite greasy. The fries were good and crunchy. read more

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews about these guys! I've been going to Corndog Commander for a few years now and they are amazing! The only problem I have is that I can never make their schedule, and they no longer have their waffle fries. I was finally able to get to an event they were at this week and I was not disappointed. The line was long (typical), but worth the wait. The standard corndog is only $3 and the huge one is $5, so not expensive at all. They also have amazing fries! I got the smaller corndog and fries this time. I always get ketchup, mustard, and honey. The honey was something I'd never thought of until Corndog Commander, and I'm now a believer. The cornbread batter is always crunchy and goes perfectly with the hotdog inside. Combine that with the trio of condiments and you're in a good place. The meal was fantastic. This is the best corndog ever. And it's fairly cheap and definitely filling. If you see a big box truck with a giant corndog on the top, take advantage of the opportunity and get an amazing corndog. read more

I saw the Corndog Commander truck at the Provo food truck roundup. It stood out from the rest and I gave it a shot. We ordered a footlong corndog, regular corndog, fries and two canned drinks. That ran us to a grand total close to $17. The batter on the corndog was sweet. Too sweet for a corndog. The fries were the main attraction. They had just the right amount of crunch and seasoning. Only problem is that there were only 8 fries in the whole order split between my wife, son and I. I guess you could say that they left me wanting more which is the goal of business. read more

I went to the corn dog commander truck today. The truck appeared clean and the guys were nice and professional. It took about 10 minutes from ordering to receiving the food with a minimal line. That was not a big deal for me as I would prefer to wait for hot fresh food. This may be an issue if there was a queue though. The corndog was tender, moist and tasty. I don't eat a lot of corndogs but this was probably the best one I have had. I have 3 problems with this place which is why I gave 3 stars. First the price. Growing up in philadelphia I ate a lot of great street food hot dogs. The standard price for a street food hot dog is $1 - $2. These guys are charging $5 and they are streetfood. My other problem is the mozzarella sticks are 2 for $3 and they are absolutely awful. They use the same corn breading on the sticks as the corndog and it does not work out at all. I took one bite and was tremendously disappointed. The texture is dreadful and the flavor is even worse. I was literally able to take 2 bites before I saved my self the agony of trying any more. Another small issue is that they don't have any packaging to take the food to go. If you don't want to eat on the curb outside the truck this is a pain especially with the sauces they put on. In summary the corndog itself was good but not worth the price and the mozzarella . I don't feel great after eating it but I suppose that is to be expected. read more

In Star Trek, if would be an "anomaly". I was trapped in a short line that moved at a extremely protracted pace. When I got there it seemed from my POV that it took me about 3 seconds to order. It was about $11 and "wait over there." I waited, stuck again in that space/time deviation. The dog eventually came out with pretty stripes of catsup and mustard--and that is a sin against nature. Isn't dipping part of the fun? The fries were okay, and the dog was long and lackluster. Think of the last day of a summer carnival--it was limp, tired, and greasy. I like this place, mostly because the only other option is a restaurant or a gas station. The corndogs are tasty, I like the breading and the proportions are good. The mozzarella sticks are good, but it would be nice if the batter was different, it gets to be too much of the same flavor. My biggest two problems, the schedule seems erratic and they can be hard to track down. It would be nice to have some to go containers. I don't always want to eat next the food trucks. read more
