Took them a week to call me back to tell me they needed my other doctor to order it. They said once it is ordered, they would schedule me. They ordered it promptly. I called them to let them know it was ordered and was told someone would call me back. No one called for over a week, so I called again. About a week later I got a call saying they didn't think it was the proper MRI scheduled, so I made sure and it was. I called again and they said the scheduler would call me back. It has now been almost 3 weeks, so I called yesterday and the person on the phone said someone would call me for sure yesterday. No call. I am done. He might be a good doc, but his staff are not doing their job.

I was discharged Wednesday with a prescription of OxyContin covering (Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday) running out midday Saturday. They told me that I needed to call for a refill if I was going to runout during the weekend. My Costco pharmacy is closed Sundays, so I called Thursday figuring Costco would receive the prescription Friday or Saturday. I waited until Saturday to call the pharmacy, & they had received an order for NALOXONE, but none for OxyContin. They said they often get prescriptions for NALOXONE with OxyContin, but that they didn't get a prescription for OxyContin. Dr. Lazar's office is closed on the weekend, so I can't call them until Monday morning after 9AM (& when I do call them) Costco probably won't be able to fill my prescription until late Monday/early Tuesday. So, I count my remaining number of tablets....14. My prescription was for 42 over 3 1/2 days, so I have enough for 15 hrs. I will be OUT tomorrow morning at 9AM. I have decided to cut my dosage in half, figuring that taking a little over 3 days is better than just stopping after 1 day. This is probably an over site on whomever entered the order, but it affects me more you might understand. 1/2 dose isn't nearly enough, now everything I do is with a lot of pain. I'm supposed to be walking around, but I'm very reluctant as everything I do is even more painful than when I was taking full dosage. This is the third time where something or someone from Dr. Lazar's office hasn't properly informed me correctly of something or whom hasn't followed through with making sure that a communication with my PCP and/or my insurance company. It took 3 weeks of me calling back & forth to my PCP's office & my insurance company before getting an authorization for surgery.....meanwhile I'm in pain waiting for a call. each time I had to initiate phone calls to try to figure out what happened.

In long After my lovely bride had a massive stroke 15 months ago, pain set in over time. Neural pain makes mild inflammation in her hip and thigh feel like torture. If she pulls a muscle it's agony (and it's easy to fall when you've lost mobility, which can lead to pulls). She gets headaches that she never used to get. Lots of aches and pains throughout. We tried a pain management clinic in Everett and all they really did was walk us through the idea that there are 3 ways to manage pain. First is pain-relief drugs, which they refused to prescribe since they're not in the same network with her primary care. Sigh. Second is active treatment, and she was already getting PT, OT, massage, and, at the time, acupuncture. So they didn't see any potential there. Third is carefully-planned rest and activity periods. She was loving getting up and walking at the time so she was getting her blood flowing more than zero. So they agreed to do nothing at all for her. We also saw a pain interventionist in Silver Lake, who consciously declares (and is known in the industry) never to prescribe. She focuses on injections and other outpatient procedures to manage how the nervous system perceives pain. She couldn't see anything that would work for her, so, again, she did nothing. We got a third referral after her hip flared up again and her primary prescribed a stronger pain med in the short term. Her primary noted that she's always chasing her pain, rather than really managing it. So off to NWPM we go. The building is new enough, nice enough. Accessible parking underneath with a proper elevator. You get upstairs and it says you must ring the bell to get in. Turns out the door is unlocked, and ringing the bell just makes them get up to answer the door. Why do they not prop the door open? Why do they leave the sign up? It's just a little piece of copier paper taped to the door. Easy to remove. But okay. The front desk staff seemed confused about our presence, at least to some extent. Not sure what to have us do, not sure who we'd be seeing, not sure what to tell us to expect. Not encouraging. We sat in the waiting room, which looks like they got it on closeout. Tags still on. Frames with stock photos still inside--not even of local scenery, just the family photos that they sell with the empty frame. A little creepy. None of the furniture goes together. We finally go back and the physician's assistant who sees us is super nice. Very calm guy, patiently goes over her whole chart and recent medical history. Walks her through tons of options, asks tons of questions, explains all the different ideas he has for helping her. First he wants to replace her meds with a patch that will continuously manage her pain, and see how that goes. Sounds great! He said he just had a patient report that morning that she found the exact same Rx to be "stunning" in its effectiveness. Then on the way out we have to have a UA test to make sure she's eligible for a strong pain med...they don't know how we're gonna do that, or who's gonna help. So they let someone else go first while we wait with all the mismatched furniture. In the end, we're very optimistic about the potential for this treatment. But every other patient and every person in the office reminded us of an episode of Better Call Saul. Odd vibes here.

When forwarded to Leanne the front desk person she blamed me for the technology issue and wouldn't search it further. It was established and grounded in Mill Creek, WA for the first twelve years. During the pandemic served the public relentlessly and expanded into a second office in Kalispell, MT and opened a new wellness center in South Everett and continues to grow with physicians , medical massage therapy and specifically trained professionals in Integrative Care, including referrals to chiropractic and acupuncture as part of an extensive team. I received another bill on Friday for services from June of last year - well I tell you what, I've never received a bill for these services until now, and they had the nerve to charge me a late fee. It makes me wonder if they are really doing so poorly that they have to send bills years late to cash out on late fees? Do they need the extra $10 that desperately? I have requested a copy of the invoice number and date of the last invoice sent to me and we will see what they say. Overall, the service I received at the old location was good. The new location, I was disappointed, My bill says that I am no longer welcome back, for not paying the bill, that they didn't send me until a full year had passed. Unbelievable. RUN!

My expectations were low based on past experience and hearing story after story after story of poor treatment from medical professionals regarding this disease, but I was desperate and getting so sick. I saw a Bridget Noorishad who was a god send in my life at that moment. Due to lack of funding for date, most doctors are misinformed and cling to false beliefs about the disease to misdiagnose patients. It's a problem that leads to death unfortunately. Bridget wasn't familiar with this issue (most aren't) and held some common misbeliefs as do almost all medial professionals with the exception of ER doctors for some reason they seem to know it more. But what was amazing about Bridget is that she listened to what I had to say and I could tell she genuinely cared (such a relief and so refreshing given my expectations and experience dealing with this). She was skeptical at first as she should be, but she did the right thing and I don't think she knows how grateful I was! She said okay can you give me a minute and she left the room for awhile to go investigate and get to the truth. She humbled herself and did what all doctors should do in this situation. After all, they can't know everything. She took the time and care to figure it out and returned with honestly the best possible treatment plan she could have. After being misdiagnosed for well over a year thanks to false outdated info and doctors who cling to it, this was EXACTLY what I needed in that moment. I couldn't be happier with the care I received here and while treatment was less than effecthve that was not her fault. It was the right treatment just too late and I went too long with insufficient treatment. It's complicated but I just want to say I 100% recommend this walk in. The care FAR exceeded all others I've visited in the area. Thank you for taking me seriously....all too often that's not the case with this issue and you have NO IDEA just how much I needed that! Edit Added:...Oh and I should add that she was even willing to go above and beyond and offered to stay late so my boyfriend could stop by on his way home and talk to her.
