Bag of nuts was stale, but at least they took them back. Most of the produce was local, unlike some of the other stands that carry Mexican grown avocadoes and tomatoes. Produce was a lit cheaper than Franciscos, but a little less variety. Very nice people.

strawberries are amazing! Fresh and delicious

We enjoy the beautiful drive, great customer service and amazing fresh Produce! The strawberries are amazing! Super fresh and just beautiful. The citrus box are always a fave...mandarinas, lemons, oranges. You won't be disappointed

The second-largest fruit stand on Highway 126 in the Santa Clara River Valley, Cornejo's carries mostly oranges and strawberries, plus a few vegetables, snacks, nuts, dried fruit, olives, fresh orange juice and odds and ends. I was told the same people own Francisco's down the road; their products are similar - mainly box after box of oranges and strawberries that are mostly from Oxnard (top notch quality and flavor.) The cost will be much the same; I would stick to the fruit since it's locally grown and fairly priced. In the fall you get the colorful gourds, massive pumpkins, etc. as well as a different selection of fruit. This week, just at the beginning of strawberry season, I got a couple flats of almost perfect deep-red berries. At peak season, I have to say their strawberries are the best-tasting food I have ever put into my mouth. Just laugh-out-loud good. As you can see by my pictures it's basically a cute little shack off the highway, and it's easy to pull over and park. If you have kids or nephews you have to bring them here - I'd hate to think roadside fruit stands will eventually become extinct but you never know.

you HAVE to drop by this place before you head to the beach. That's what me and my friend did and it was the best decision ever! Got a bunch of fruit for a really good price. Really good produce and super friendly people. There lots of snacks and some drinks as well if you're not in the mood for produce. Gunna make it a tradition to stop by this gem whenever we head to the beach in the future

Awesome people and produce. The oranges are the best quality. Nice and clean facility. Strawberries are good too. They take credit card.

Of course we were going to check it out. Perfectly, we had our three year old granddaughter with us, and this farm venue was perfect for her. Once we parked she immediately found the Children's Garden / play area. Swings, slides, an airplane-inspired teeter-totter, a wooden train to explore, trampoline, and much more awaited her energy. The play structures weren't fancy, but the kids were having a great time. The host asking guests to check in explained all the activities going on at different venues. Guided tours happened several times during the day. Visits to the animals were encouraged. We checked out "Spike the Tortoise" in his custom enclosure, and a playful litter of kittens in their own space. We also caught a tactor-drawn hay ride for an overview of the farm animals' area, plus row crops, and much more to see in a peaceful setting. They are only open to the public on certain days, but we were told that private tours may be arranged. If you have the chance to visit, I'd definitely recommend it! And now I can't wait to go back to Sage Bistro and enjoy more dairy-free foodie taste adventures.

*** CSA Box #3 *** I…read morehad high hopes for this, our third CSA box. It was the mid price point between the two boxes that we had previously tried (County Line Harvest #1 & Edible Gardens LA #2 - see respective reviews) so I thought maybe it would be the winner. Also, it's from the farm that is owned by the the family behind Sage Organic Vegan Bistro, which is in my opinion the best Vegan restaurant in Los Angeles. I thought it was pretty cool to learn that they have their own farm supplying produce to their restaurants, and that we were able to get CSA boxes from their farm. To order this farm box, you must place an order by 4 pm on Thursday for Friday delivery (via their website). $50 is inclusive of delivery. If you opt to pick it up yourself, it's still $50. My order arrived some time between noon and 1 pm on Friday (I did not receive an email or text, but I know that it showed up some time in that window based on when I checked the doorstep). The box was large and I laid the contents out on my counter as I always do: 2 Leeks 1 Head of Cauliflower 1 Head of Cabbage 2 Heads of Broccoli 3 Tomatoes 2 Small Boxes of Cherry Tomatoes 4 Avocados 4 Lemons 2 Grapefruit 11 Oranges Lacinato Kale 4 Cucumbers 3 Beets 1 Small Bag of Peppers 4 Carrots Romaine Fresh Mint A couple days later, the vegetables that we have yet to consume are already wilting or browning; with the others, it felt like we had cut out the time and middle man between the farm and the grocery stores, but not the case here. One of the lemons was even a little moldy when it arrived. We determined that the fruit & produce is not any fresher than what we get at Whole Foods (and in some cases even a little less fresh, which we can't quite wrap our heads around) and the quality also about the same. Not bad, just not on the same level as the other CSA boxes that we got, and definitely not worth $50.

I love their hot food station & they have some of the best fried chicken in the game if you catch them when they have a fresh batch out. I really only stop here primarily for some chicken. I love their crispy batter and it has really a good flavor and seasoning. The only hit or miss depends on how fresh it is. When I catch them on a good day it's a 10/10. Sometimes though I go too late and the chicken is a little dry. It's a gamble I'm willing to take though because it is that good. Also you can't beat the prices, crazy cheap. I walked out with three pieces of fried chicken for $3.50 I really don't know how you can beat that when one piece of fried chicken at a chain fast food joint is that price. The grocery store itself is small but has a good variety of items. A nice meat counter and on the other side are desserts and pastries. I stay away from that side so I won't be even more tempted but they have some great ready to eat items here. Staff are always nice and friendly. I'm usually able to get in and out of here fairly quickly. It's a quiet town and usually isn't too busy inside when I stop in on a weekday. Happy to have a spot that I can run in and out for a quick bite.
