There seems to be a trend of new Asian fusion restaurants that have opened recently, this is one of the better ones in my opinion. Now I'm not a giant fan of the plain old Chinese restaurants that seem to be on every other block here in Springfield, but picky me really likes Asian fusion restaurants. Its clean, friendly, and fast service here, with a large menu. They offer anything from sushi, shrimp with lobster sauce, sweet and sour chicken, and just about any other of your favorite Asian dish's. The lunch special is very well priced and includes the entree, your choice of 2 crab rangoon's, egg role, or soup as an added side to the meal. It's a really nice portion of food, it all comes un-assembled so you decide how much sauce to add, which is a great touch. Also, like how they bread the chicken, it's more of a wet batter to start and fry's up nice and puffy so to say. One cool thing about the decor is the gold cat on the counter that is perpetually waving hello, really want to know where I can get one of those, lol. Give it a try for lunch, really can't beat that special, and they can be pretty busy at times, which means to me I'm not the only one who knows good food in this town. read more

Zero ambiance. Close to Mercy hospital (3 blocks) and even though looked ran down needed a quick bite. The man was hard to understand, could not answer my questions about tofu or their seafood and the woman on the phone loudly with "business". While going through a pretty extensive menu, noticed grubhub there a few times but zero customers at 1pm. As avoiding meat I went with the seafood dinner with lobster $21 w tax. Asked for water was given a tiny styrofoam cup? I saw no glasses. My meal came out with a scoop of rice on styrofoam plate, and they dish itself is served in a black carry out?? I had said dine in. No plates or silverware. The rice cold. The dish had 4 good pieces of shrimp but sadly no flavor. The scallops tiny and filled with grit. The lobster seemed fresh, of course smallish but he overcooked it, the only thing that looked like I might get lucky with. They appear to possibly be going out of business, so maybe why the quality was a 1. When I got up to leave she finally spoke and asked how was it and I told her the scallops filed with grit (low quality) the lobster overcooked and tough. She just smiled and went on. They have combos for $9.99 and the store next to, said that was all they would eat, wish I would have known as would have save myself ten dollars and actually had a decent lunch perhaps. Next time will eat at the cafeteria, where if something spoiled can get replaced. read more

The quality of the food was excellent. The portions were huge and we took quite a bit home with us. It is mostly a carry out restaurant, but there are rules places to dine within. This is a very good restaurant that we will be visiting again. read more

Best crab Rangoon and sushi I've had from a Take our Chinese restaurant. Lady at front desk was sweet and helpful.

After reading the other reviews I was so looking forward to my first time visit and am really disappointed in the outcome I got a to-go order this past Friday at 3:00 in the afternoon so they were not busy. The staff was quite friendly on the phone and when I showed up for my order. The place was clean and didn't smell like a deep fried palace as many of these operations do. My food took about 15 minutes total from the time I called which I didn't think was bad and ran about #35.00 for my order. I ordered general's chicken (my usual for a new spot), pineapple chicken, pork low mein and the steam dumplings. The portions were large but the flavor just wasn't therefor the most part. If I had my eyes closed the generals and the other chicken dish both had about the same bland flavor.It wasn't bad it just wasn't much of anything. Also I like a less breaded chicken and this had a little too much breading and not enough chicken for me. The lo mein had more flavor and a little spice but the noodles were really overcooked and mushy. The star of the meal was the dumplings which I am pretty sure were homemade. The dough was a little thick which I think would be fixed by having them fried instead of steamed but overall I would for sure buy those dumplings again. Based on all of the great reviews and the dumplings I will be back but I wont order the two chicken dishes again. read more

The chicken was soggy with grease and the fried rice had absolutely no flavor. Please see pic, this is what ended up in the trash. We found this place on Yelp. Off to a good start by ordering right from the Yelp app. I called to ask a clarifying question and it was a good experience. I will update soon and share about the food quality, taste and appearance. I am updating my review. For "Springfield Cashew Chicken", this would get a 1 Star. Only reason I'm giving a 3 Star is because my family had some other items they liked. First the cashew chicken, chicken & breading both were so over cooked dry. It was 5:30, dinner time, should have been fresh. -Just as equal a priority, the Oyster Sauce. The sauce should be medium to light brown (tan) and a little thick. The sauce that came with this was dark brown and very thin. It tasted a lot like soy sauce. Egg rolls and potstickers were like cheap frozen store bought. My pop had Shrimp Egg Foo Young and he said it was real good. My son had the General's and liked it. I tried my sons and the chicken, though bigger pieces, was very dry too. I won't return. This is the greasiest, most bland chinese food i have ever had. Egg Rolls were soaking in oil, dripping down my hand. Same for the fried dumplings. The General chicken was sooo sweet, no spice at all. Cashew chicken tasted like...nothing at all, extremely bland. Wonton soup wad mediocre, wontons were good but the broth was like warm water with no flavor. Pork fried rice looked like yellow rice with no flavor at all. Ate there this afternoon with family. The sushi seemed okay, but my sesame chicken was tough and loaded with broccoli. The egg rolls were great. I'd give the crab rangoons a B-. They were large, but the cream cheese was oddly soft, like it had been thinned out. While we were there, we kept getting a whiff of something that smelled like an overheated extension cord, and the smell got stronger as long as we were there. (Hope everything's okay...) The staff was casual and friendly. Service was prompt and the prices aren't bad. I wouldn't be in a big rush to go back, but I wouldn't dig in my heels, either--so long as they fixed whatever was generating that burning smell. read more

The food was very delicious! The portions are large, and the ingredients are fresh. The environment was good and clean with a Traditional Chinese style. Comparing to other restaurants, it reminds me the flavors of my home! My American friends like the tastes too! Good food. Only problem I had was through their online ordering. Ordered around 1015 AM, a preorder for our staff meeting at noon with a pickup of 1130. Walked in at 1125, they had no record of my order (I had been charged). No big deal, they typed it in and said 15 minutes. They started working on my order but at least 8 grub hub orders went out before mine, so by time my order was done (50 minutes later), half of it was soggy and old. Would not order from them again. If you have time to sit and dine in, worth it but will not be ordering for work events again. read more

House special Mei fun was wonderful, it packed with everything you will love; shrimp, grilled pork, chicken. The portion size was gigantic. The server was very friendly and willing to explain the ingredients. Fried sushi was also good. The only thing they needed to improve is the plate presentation could be better. read more

Lovely family owned and run small business. Small kids sitting in the booths, while their family works.. that's how you know the food is going to be good. The crab rangoons are always sweet and crispy delights. The white rice is always cooked to perfection and overall Asian Hut is such an amazing comfort food. Scrumptious. We just got food from here spent about 30.00$ and it was just terrible. General Tso chicken with white meat. All the meat was inedible and either over cooked or loaded with fat. Every bite I had to spit out because it was not edible. The sauce was way to sweet it's more like sweet and sour sauce. I can't even eat the rest of this. Plain fried rice. Tasted old. Also was just white rice with soy sauce thought it would actually be like a fried rice just with no chicken. Again couldn't eat it. Crab Rangoon was undercooked and squishy. The only thing that tasted okay was he beef lo mein. But I feel like we just wasted 30$ for sure cause we can't eat this stuff. We had got the chicken fried rice and the crab ragoons. The chicken fried rice was very bland with no flavor and it had only onions, no other vegetables. We ended up adding our own seasonings and sauce to make it taste good. The crab ragoons were good though; we would order those again. read more

After 14 years of seeking out decent Chinese (I'm not a fan of the fried chicken nuggets doused in assorted "Asian gravy" found around here.), I'm so happy to have found this place. Was excited to try this and ordered orange chicken with lo mein, my go-to for trying new asian restaurants.. i was so disappointed. the orange chicken tasted so bland. no spice. mushy almost. the lo mein was awful. panda express has better lo mein and orange chicken than this. when i called to see where my order was (it was 30 min past the delivery time) the lady was so rude and kept talking over me :( very disappointed. if you're into bland chicken and noodles, go for it. The only good thing were the crab rangoon's and those were still a 2 out of 5 if i'm being generous. :( read more
